They forgot to talk about the most exciting part of the great battles in Eve, time dilation.
No what they forget to mention is how massively complex the game is to learn. This is why I can't get in to the game. It's just to massively complex to learn to play.

@@michaelrunk8593 It is complex, but it also allows you to learn its core mechanics one step at a time. I'm about 6-7 months in, still a new player, and that's ok.
In my experience most of the eve players like exactly that: blowing one ship up with 25 ppl without the risk of loosing anything.
That's all the game has ever been about, it's a joke.

Eve's glory days are long gone. Dwindling player base really stifles what's possible. I remember when high sec wars were constant, when RvB was flying every day with hundreds of people on both sides. There's just not enough people playing anymore. 2/3 of currentl population is alts and that's me being generous. I reckon whatever number you see logged in, half are real people.
@@THiNK103088 I also feel like Highsec suicide ganking is at a all time high, too many players with too much money to throw away ganking new players mining left right and center. The fact you can spend a just a few mill to alpha strike a ship costing around 200mill is a joke in of its self...

Hunting isnt pressing f1 in your kiki its mapping wormholes, finding targets and then getting your guys and go for them.

Exactly. Never underestimate the value of logi pilots. Opposing FCs count them immediately for good reasons.
Logi pilots are the most passive-aggressive blood starved beasts on battlefield. They will rep you from backseats just to see how much carnage you can manage to release. They will grin at you when you fail to align and meet your doom. The only time you'll see them shed tears is when fleet won't be able to recover their little drones on time and leave them for the enemy to take.

As someone with Aspergers, I get overwhelmed if too many things are happening at once. I'd be the first to go down in a large-scale battle like the ones she's talking about.
It's a lot less confusing than it looks. Just focus on your own thing and listen to the fleet commander.

Just started and I havent entered any PvP yet, but im really enjoying it!
The real PvP is in SOV space. Highsec is mostly miner bumping and jump gate camping.
Text in a few weeks wil go: When I first started Eve, I was a miner.... and then CCP wiped out the indstrie. Then I wanted to shoot people, but there is no one left to shoot in space.
Then I decided to undock, but there was no ship for me.
There is already no one left too shoot after pvp player exodus due to stupidly cheap capitals in every fight.
CCP is trying to bring balance somewhat back to normal, where every ship class needed, but null botter voices are just too loud.

when i started eve, i was a minor, and i was really tired of getting blown up by people all the time.. so i decided.. instead of being the hunted, i would become the hunter. my favorite role is to be, a "logipilot", i really enjoyed the idea of being the god of the battlefield.. being incharge of deciding who lives and who DIES.. the main reason that we hunt.. we are looking for the good fight, there is no fun in having 25 people destroying one ship, its alot more exciting when you know that theres 40 other people.. 2 jumps out that wanna kill you, you can go down in history with an epic fight that you are completely outnumbered in and came out on top.. so as soon as you land in enemy space the first thing.. that the fleet commander does is looks for a target, so you wanna see what options you have out there to fight. whos here who can i kill, the excitement that comes with trying to lock everyone thats taking damage, ur constantly cycling between ships getting locked and shot at, the more ships they bring.. the more we can kill, i keep coming back to eve online because its allowed me to create my own story and who i wanna be in the game. im able to map wormholes, im able to hunt people, and im able to spy if i want to, you get to decide if youre going to be the good guy or the bad guy on a daily basis, its ruthless.. its eve

You can fly Caldari Navy Hookbill, Incursus, Condor, Naga, Tornado, Garmur, Praxis, Caracal, Osprey Navy Issue, Oracle, Typhoon and Dramiel so you can fly plenty of the ships that was in video for free

I am a 2007 and a capital pilot before and I quit because the game is unplayable due to lag. how's eve now? does the lag issue have been fixed?
There is no lag, only time dilation in massive fleet battles. In other words, everything will move slower depending on system congestion. 1000 ships battle will dilate time about 25% normals speed. So all modules will cycle slower, ships commands will take longer to see, guns firing slowr, and so on. This affects everyone in system even if you are docked.

The first and most important question you should ask yourself before doing anything is "is this fun?"
For miners, fun is big ops, chilling with pals, and sucking up vast quantities of ore.
What ISN'T fun is new garbage mechanics that take the already unfun scarcity situation and make it even worse.
Miners, industrialists, explorers, PvE, and PvP players all want and DESERVE to have fun. Why, we pay you to have fun. Not to be treated like crap by bitter hilmar and his yes men.
Sort yourselves out, and faster than soon(tm)

well, for me. im happy mining. i may --eventually hunt. we'll see if there more ore available. now. eve is a great game. if...you know what your doing. and got the time for skill training. i solo. but this is really not a solo game. [ im content with what i do at the moment] but loosing ships is part of the game so . the first time you loose 100 mill ship. thats the way of eve. cant imagine what its like for these guys loosing 500 million isk ships.
500million? Thats rookie numbers. I kill that almost on a daily basis in wormholes with my 4Billion Ikitursa . Try 5-8 Billion in null sec pvp, per ship or 12-20 billion in all out war with any alliance. There are many blingy ships in null sec and wormhole space, but there are also riches that help you afford it. High risk high reward is the game.

You could walk around with your toon in the captains quarters until it was removed because only like 2% of the player base used it and it was holding back transition into dx11 or something

“Experience the thrill of PvP combat” consider that maybe more content like this would exist if people had a reason to log into the game and CCP wasn’t constantly making changes that effectively require 5 times the subbed accounts just to maintain the same level of income during your self proclaimed “scarcity”. Null sec is dead and you’re lucky if you get a fight like this once a month. Definitely worth subbing 7 accounts at 15 dollars a month each for am I right?
The whole point of scarcity is to lower said income.
Previous meta already created an exodus of pvp players. Because with basically free capitals why would you choose anything else? Why theorycraft fits, doctrines, tactics if capital can solve 95% of your problems and costs nothing?
And now all is left is a bunch of multibox farmers, who whine at any CCP attempt to fix the balance. And anyone able to oppose this whining left long time ago.
