Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band , formed by Sharon and her partner , guitarist Robert Westerholt, in 1996, same year as Nightwish. Sharon is mostly self taught. She also has a degree in fashion design. She designed a lot of her stage outfits.
Ice Queen is my favorite from them, it was their commercial breakthrough song from the 2nd album, Mother Earth. Their 8th album , last I heard, is supposed to be released this year. They are based in symphonic metal, but move around into other styles a lot.
Since you like the orchestra, check out anything from the Black Symphony concert, 'Our Solemn Hour' is a good one. they've also done a lot of collaborations, including Paradise (What About Us) with Tarja.

Sharon is one of the true Dutch symphonic metal queens. She is so gorgeous and as someone else here has stated, she designs all her own outfits. One thing here, that Within Temptation was never mentioned, she and her band that she formed. She solely identifies with her band, they are very tight team. So much so that Sharon does not have any direct social media presence, only official sites are Within Temptation. She has only briefly done any solo work some years ago (My Indigo), but found inspiration to recommit fully to her great and grand music through her and her team in Within Temptation. Regrettably they do not get enough exposure due to all the Nightwish fawning that goes on. Within Temptation is my third favorite band next to Epica and Lord Of The Lost.

I love that Sharon den Adel and Floor sang together in the song Beyond Me from After Forever. Sadly enough there is not a good live performance but, they did perform this song live. It is very, very good.
Also Sharon den Adel worked together with Areyon.

Yes, Dutch again, like Floor Jansen, Anneke Giersbergen, Simone Simons from Epica, OG3NE, etc. Dankjewel is indeed thank you in Dutch. They performed in the part of Belgium where they speak Dutch ( Flemish is a Dutch dialect).

I tried to get tickets to Within Temptation (Sharon den Adel) colore tour with Evanescence but, it was already sold out.
I've also been to Epica concert in Amsterdam.
All of them are so good.

She did a wonderfull duet with Anneke van Giersbergen called (I`ll find you) somewhere....within temptation is the name of the band and a beautifull duet with Floor with a song called `beyond me~ that song was from After Forever, the former band where Floor was in for years. Great Dutch talented woman we have here..... Love it.

Love Sharon. You should checkout the original music video for Ice Queen to see her beautiful costume and her hand dancing. She was inspired by traditional Balinese dancers which she saw as a child while living in Indonesia. Next you should checkout her duet with Anneke van Giersbergen doing the song Somewhere from the Black Symphony concert. Often consider the most beautiful duet ever.

In the Netherlands and the Flanders region in Belgium we speak Dutch. It sounds a bit different because of the accent but it is virtually the same.

Within temptation is the first symphonic metal band i ever heard and they are why i love symphonic metal the most of any other kind of music - and this isnt even the best i have ever heard from them

Here's an idea: A two for one deal with WT's golden oldie "Stand My Ground". You can do their 12M views official music video first, followed by the live version at Java-Eiland, Amsterdam in 2005 (a skunk's throw from where we lived).

In the end i understood "Danke" that's german and it means in english "thanks" i don't know where the concert has been given but for me it looks like belgium und maybe the flemish part of belgium say to thanks also danke... but i don't know it exactly.

Other Eastern European languages, for example, are Slavic languages, which are completely different. French Italy Spanish Greek are Romance Languages that are different again. The Dutch learn French, English and German or Spanish languages at school. So they speak several languages.

Gasundeit. Belgium doesn’t really have it’s own language, unless you count Flemish, a derivative of Dutch. They speak mostly Dutch in northern Belgium and French in southern parts. Keep “acting up” Wolfman!
In the Northern part of Belgium Flemish is spoken. It is a softer variant of Dutch with own words etc that we do not use in the Netherlands.
"Dank je wel" is dutch for Thank You.

I like both songs ... but I dont like this version, because the vocals are drowned by the music. Since Sharon sings at a rather high pitch it is difficult to actually understand what she sings.
For a girl, maybe the honorable Miss Petunia Skunkington, first of her name? 🤷🏻♂️ For a boy, maybe the honorable Master Percival Odiferous Skunkington? I don’t have any perfect name ideas.
