You are my main weather source and I've also learned a great deal from watching your videos. It's great to see someone who obviously loves what they do. We got slammed on the south end of Camano Island. Thanks for being here.

Thank you for the heads up… yes, the “news” didn’t cover this until the day before…. We did get a huge storm in our area but was able to prepare cause of you (Lake Stevens, Wa). Thanks again and this is why I watch you almost daily!!!

I’d much rather watch you than the National Weather Service since you are specializing in the area in which I live. Keep up the good work! And thanks for your dedication.
It was incredible how localized the wind was. Practically no wind in Bellingham east of interstate 5. Though Sudden Valley and highway 9 got slamed. Definitely was a bad idea to be driving out there, got hit by some sizeable branches and had to drive over trees, had to turn around as highway 9 was blocked in two places north and south of Wikersham. Woo, what a night!
@@eltopia11 I know what you mean! Our road was fine with only a few small downed branches, but I could hear popping power lines only a few hundred yards away. They were very channelized gusts.
Can confirm. The strongest gust we in Lynden was 30, according to my weather station. Most of the time the wind was ~18-24 mph range. I was hoping for more of a storm, but it went as predicted here.
We are next to a hill (to the east) in a valley so wind from the east barely touches us. Not even a power outage last night however, tons of people without on the hill that protected us. I always prep for weather after watching Michael. He knows our topography and the marine influence on the weather. Totally dig the live streams!
Great update Michael! Those mountain waves here north of Arlington were so amazing around 11 last night, can't believe how the trees can take those gusts

Hi Michael, I’m so glad that I found your channel, as I work outside as a Carpenter and the weather has a large impact on me and my ability to work and earn a living. Your experience and knowledge of the weather and especially the storms coming our way is very valuable information to have. I live 6 miles south of Philomath on the shoulder of the coast range, just 3 miles as the crow flies from Marys Peak , at just over 4,000 feet elevation, the highest point in the coast range, which has a substantial effect on the weather I experience. Often it’s quite different than what’s happening in Philomath or Corvallis so hearing and seeing the information you present in extremely valuable to me. Keep up the great work and congratulations on nearing the 100,000 sub- scribers mark ! I will continue to be one of them and tell people about your channel often. Sincerely, Chris Mildwater

Even the MSM was warning about the incoming storm yesterday morning and for a couple of days prior. Both the NWS and the MSM nailed this one dead on. No hyping as so many claim!
I've encountered a lot of people that downplayed the potential severity of the storm- "It won't be a big deal" they said. Well, it was certainly a big deal for some...and it might only get worse for others. The lack of empathy and awareness from some people make me sick.

It was a good thing we were prepared for a power outage here in the Grande Ronde Valley. With plenty of firewood and lamp oil we fared quite well. Hello from Summerville Oregon in the heart of the Blue Mountains. The winds are blowing, the temperature is up, and the valley snow is melting causing some minor flooding, but the power just came back on and we didnt lose any more trees. Thanks for the detailed coverage, Mike. The predictions showed that western Pierce County would have minimal winds and that's exactly what happened. A few outages but mostly we were in a quiet donut hole.

So weird on south Whidbey, the wind was so loud, howling, and felt like it surrounded my house, but never really hit my house, just all around me. Had some good gusts, but not our normal direction, right on the water, going north. It was strange. Hope this makes sense. The ferries were struggling on the water. Thanks for the update! Appreciate all you do!
Early morning on the Long Beach Peninsula and I am just a short distance from the Pacific Ocean and we have power. I heard a lot of wind blowing stuff around in the middle of the night which was scary. The cyclones that hit in 2007 knocked out power here for almost a week. Thank you for your reporting and live storm coverage.
New to your channel, but a Long time atmospheric observer that goes back to the Radio Faxchart days. Mike, you are providing an Excellent Service to the public. Kudos to you!
Crazy lightning and thunder absolutely shaking the house from 5:30-6:30 am 1 mile from the coast in Nehalem OR......dogs under the bed!!! Tempest is really good at lightning!
You do a good job. Puget sound weather is probably the most difficult thing to predict and deal with in the entire northern hemisphere. Not just the United States. So considering that you do a great job. Thank you for your work and everything you do
I got lots of comments on my Facebook about the storm being overhyped. You and I both know that is not the case. It just didn’t materialize down here around Newport as it did up there around Enumclaw and the surrounding areas. But we got the lowest millibar values ever on record as you pointed out last night, Michael. That ain’t no hype. Great coverage from the car!
I've been following you for awhile. You are spot on for your forecasts... I also appreciate your range in your forecasts. We are traveling in our RV, so from NW Montana to Southern Oregon Coast
Last night was crazy. I mentioned yesterday I live off grid in wall tents. Don't confuse me with "homeless". We survived. I hear a lot of generators going. NOT us. We only use gens to run ACs or charge batteries. Lots of trees topped and a few big ones fell. The one thing that was interesting during the hours from 6-10pm was the sky flickering emerald green. Not seen lightn ing like that before.
@snippee1438 Many theories were passing in convo last night. along with the lighting up sky, we also could hear engine sounds just right before the gusts would come in. I live extremely rural and have lived on this property for 5 years. I know every neighbors car and habit. This engine sounds was LOUD. And the last is the military plane flying high altitude ALWAYS when there is cloudy cover. ALWAYS. and last night they were busy,!.
@snippee1438 I was going to record but people would just naysay or make up some silly reasoning to what we were witnessing. Mind you I SAT in the weather last night. Outside for 6 hours. It was the safest. So I saw things and heard things people would never have.
I'm a mobile mechanic, and I was informed not to come into work due to the power outages and blocked roadways. So luckily, I didn't have to drive all around King County today
Where I am in Vancouver, we got a period of wind, rain and lightning/thunder, not lasting more than an hour - oddly the wind died down, and through the night didn't change. But, I'm not sure yet of other parts of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. The Island took the brunt of the storm - my best to them who are without power. And to you down south of here who have had power outages and wreckage. Be safe...

Thank you Michael. We took this storm very seriously. I have been watching your stream for about 2 weeks now. You are now my "go to" for PNW weather. Also just wanted to say a BIG heartfelt THANK YOU to Linemen/women everywhere. Stay safe everyone. Heed the warning too please.
You are allowed all the credit, dry informative. Ignore the naysayers
Superb work, Michael! Thank you again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome work once again. Thank you for the insight and enthusiasm for good science.
Thank you for your reporting and live storm coverage.
thankyou for your live coverage last night, cows were alright!
Wild night didn’t think we were going to get hit! Boy was I wrong😅grateful for getting my power back! Thanks Michael!
Bro you’re out here saving lives.. thanks
Been with you since early days. You channel is awesome!!!
You are the Best forecaster.. PERIOD.. THANK YOU 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My husband works for WDFW and he and his crew depend on accurate forecasting. He has been turning to you more than NWS lately.
We have lived up here in the Plateau area for about 14 yrs. We get winds up here but that's the most intense I have experienced up here!
Michael, you do such a good job forecasting! Our family checks your forecasts over anyone else! Thank you!❤😊
Thank you again for your coverage.
Wind still howling thru the valley east of Kelso. Cowlitz PUD is great...power only out for about 2 hours last night.
HAARP?
My husband saw similar at work over in Bellevue. Then when I was recording the storm at home I saw pinkish red flashes towards the west. It was odd.
I didn't hear the engine sound but I do on occasion hear those HUGE jets fly over and it never shows up on my flight app.
Lots of thunder and lightning over Aberdeen right now! My house shook!
shockingly our spot survived well with those strong Easterly winds. Quite the storm, never lost our power , but everyone around us did.
I'm a mobile mechanic, and I was informed not to come into work due to the power outages and blocked roadways. So luckily, I didn't have to drive all around King County today
Thanks so much ❤ God bless
Where I am in Vancouver, we got a period of wind, rain and lightning/thunder, not lasting more than an hour - oddly the wind died down, and through the night didn't change. But, I'm not sure yet of other parts of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. The Island took the brunt of the storm - my best to them who are without power. And to you down south of here who have had power outages and wreckage. Be safe...
Last night in Battle Ground there were pockets of power outages but did not appear widespread.
Excellent summary! Thanks for all you do for us, Michael.
We were spared in the Willamette valley in my area. Thankful. (Still had a drip in my roof though!)
Thank you for your great efforts!
My apologies bud you were right,we got hit hard in Marysville last night lost power stuff flying everywhere 👍
Thank You Michael!!! Dependable as ALWAYS!!! You’re the Best!!!
You stay Safe Young Man. 💜
