I figured it out... Ive been watching a lot of other vlogs lately, Yours are by far the best!!! Your genuine, pleasant, conversational delivery is what sets you apart! Very enjoyable... Every time!
My dad was a secret service agent there that day.
To see it from that perspective...it gives me chills.
What is his channel
@@klaytonhaggard4924 the channel of the friend who did the vlogs on it, that Jordan was talking to... I don't know what his channel is, but I'd like to know.
@@elizabethsulliman ruclips.net/video/OxOBZcMXo4U/видео.html
I hope it's ok to say Breck, Jordans friends channel is " Escaping the Mouse". He is the one that did the whole JFK shooting recently . It's very good.
@@blazefairchild465 thank you for mentioning his channel. I'm very interested in watching the videos he did about it.
I visited the JFK site....could not believe how small Dealey Plaza is ...Love the channel Jordan...Great stuff...!
My exact sentiments, when I first drove country almost 30 years ago, I made sure I stopped in Dallas to make my pilgrimage to Dealey Plaza. And I, too, could not believe how small it was!
The variety of this museum is awesome. No getting bored there. How amazing, we go from Mary Kay to Tom Landry to Lee Harvey Oswald to Spanky! ❤️
The Old Red Museum was so interesting, Jordan. You have shown us so many fascinating museums, most of which I probably won’t get to see in person, but thanks to you, I’ve had a chance to experience and enjoy. Loved seeing Spanky’s pants!
Loved The Old Red Museum!! I remember the day President Kennedy died!! I was in 3rd grade at a Catholic school, and one of the nuns came into my classroom crying (nuns NEVER cried). When she told us, there was an audible gasp, and then dead silence, because it felt like all the air was sucked out of the room. Because he was Catholic, and Hyannis Port was 45 minutes away, it also felt you were loosing a neighbor. I sat in front of our black and white tv, watching his funeral. I still think we do not know the truth of everything that happened that day, and I do not think we ever will.
I visited the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. I remember being overcome by a heaviness and how everyone got increasingly silent as they got further in.
Liz Babbin I have been to both the book depository and JFK’s gravesite. I agree on the silence factor, which is also the same at his gravesite at Arlington.
My mom remembers the day this happened. She was in grade school and the whole school was dismissed for the rest of the day. Very interesting vlog. Your vlogs are always the best. I miss the daily vlogs, but glad you get a break. Have a great day.
I met Mr. Peppermint at a movie theater in Dallas back in 2001. He was with his son lead singer of the Butthole Surfers. We were there to watch the first Lord of the Rings movie. Also, a little info but Mary Kay and Mickey Mantle are buried in Dallas. Also, Lee Harvey Oswald is buried in Fort Worth at Rosehill Cemetery. I forgot to mention Bonnie and Clyde are buried in Dallas as well.
Oh cool I didn't remember that about Butthole Surfers. I saw them on NYE at Deep Ellum Live with the Toadies in 1995
@@irocksixx Yep I thought it was cool meeting both of them. They sat right behind us at the movie theater that use to be right by Walnut Hill and 75. Not sure if it's still there but it use to be right behind where Toys R' Us use to be right on the service road leading up to Walnut Hill. I use to live on Meadow Road which was the next intersection after Walnut Hill.
The museum is so cool. 8 bucks isnt bad to pay. I use to be a Mary Kay Consultant. Lol. My fav show use to be Dallas!! The guns are amazing. I liked the pearl handled one. Who doesnt remember when JFK was shot. Such a sad day. Thanks for another great vlog. Safe travels. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤🦁
I was there about 12 years ago with my dad and our good friend. A man came up and started talking to us. He was very kind and friendly and strongly disputed the official story. He sold us a magazine he produced of his ideas and, ngl, most of them made more sense than the official story. He claims he was in one of the pictures as he was there when he was a very young boy, though he seemed a bit too old to have been that young back then.
Another great vlog!!!
😂😂😂😂 i only know of Tom Landry from watching KING OF THE HILL Bobby Hill went to Tom Landry Middle school 😂😂😂😂
We visited the Old Red Museum (former Courthouse) last Summer. It was very interesting. Once again, a wonderful video.
Thank you
Cool adventures ✌️✌️
Once again I learned something! I never knew that The Old Red Museum was there! I need to check it out next time I'm in Dallas!
Thanks for another great video Jordan! 🌝
Jordan, love your videos. Keep the content going please.
Jerry Haynes aka Mr. Peppermint was an actor who had roles in movies such as "Places In The Heart" where he played the deputy who broke the news to Sally Field that her husband had been shot. He was also in "Sweet Dreams" where he played Patsy Cline's producer, Owen Bradley. He was also the father of Gibby Haynes of The Butthole Surfers.
I grew up in Dallas and was in the 3rd grade the day JFK was assassinated. Seeing Mr Peppermint’s hat just made me smile! I still have that original Barbie and Ken.
Dallas is on my bucket list. Thanks for the video!
Theres a lot of good places to visit when you're here. I live here so I've been to most of the highlighted places to visit. Hope you can make it out soon!
I moved to Waco a year ago. There is SOOOO much to do in Dallas though. It's a really pretty city. Football, baseball, basketball, Dealy Plaza... a ton. I hope you make it to The Big D one day.
I’ve lived in the Dallas area going on 30 years and I’ve never been to that museum! I’m going to have to change that
That was great! We were there at Dealy Plaza way back. Horrible time in history of which I remember. The Old Red Museum was a real treat! Thanks!!
Really enjoyed this. Thank you!
What a memory! THANK YOU JORDAN!!!
Love this ❤❤❤ I was having a rough time in 2014 and since i live 4 hours from dallas i decided to take drive out there to get away. Saw the book depository building aka JFK Assasination Museum. (Not sure if its still used as a museum). And since Dimebags resting place is near there, i went and paid my respects. One of the best trips ever. Thank you for the awesome texas vlogs. Nice to see you come to my homestate
👍🏼
Yet another cool vlog from Jordan.
Cool museum Jordan! Thank you for showing this.
I grew up with and loved Mr. Peppermint!
Yes, I enjoyed the Old Red Museum very much. Thanks Jordan! That building is gorgeous!
When my family moved from Atwater,Ca. to the New Orleans area in july of '64 we stopped in Dallas. We went to Dealy Sqaure abd what was strange was you could still feel death in the air.
I'm really enjoying your Texas vlogs. What a great museum. Definately worth the admission!
Super interesting as usual Jordan
Interesting! They have some cool things at that museum.
Thanks for showing us this museum! I am amazed how small & simple Clyde Barrow's gun is! I didn't know Spanky was from Texas and Dealey Plaza is so small! It always looked bigger when the news showed it!
Dealy Plaza was always seen in slow motion with JFK assassination. We drove by and I couldn't believe it either. In real time it's small. In slow-mo it appears larger.
Hey! I live in Dallas... Well a suburb of dallas in a city called Garland. It's in the north east side of dallas County. It's gloomy out but I hope you have a good time here.
Mary Kay was sold here long ago, I enjoyed the museum as there is something of interest with the backstories. Lots of history and thank you Jordan, cuddles for Jah :)
Nice Mike Modano Jersey ! He & Brett Hull led Dallas to the Stanley 🏆 ! 🏒
Great Vlog Jordan. Loved the museum and JFK location.
What an interesting museum! You always do your homework and share what you have learned with us. ❤️
Another informative and well presented vlog, Jordan! I was in 5th grade when our 35th president was gunned down. Having Glee Club rehearsal in the auditorium when the principal entered and told us to go back to our classrooms. I remember November 22nd, 1963 as if it happened yesterday.
I enjoy a great museum and this one was wonderful! Dallas is on my list of travel for one day. This vlog really made me want to go sooner then later.
Great vlog Jordan!! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Spanky's pants. haha So much history in that place. Oswald's handcuffs. Loved Our Gang Comedies. Great brief overview of Daly plaza. Breck did an awesome series on that. Thanks Jordan! Very cool!
Excellent vlog Jordan
Great video
Amazing volg 👍👍
I enjoy all your videos and now whenever I see a lion, I think of you! Thank you so much Jordan!
Thanks.. and you're welcome
Great Dallas Vlog. Really interesting and historic items in that museum.
Enjoyed the video Jordan. Didn't know that museum existed. Thanks Jordan.💕
💋Fantastic vlog Jordan!!! My favorite road trip vlog you have done thus far. Thank you. Safe Travels friend. Blessings. ~Love and Light 💖Carli
Thanks
In an interesting twist of fate The man who played Mr. Peppermint was a witness to the JFK assassination and was one of the first reporters to report on the assassination.
Never heard that before.
Awesome!
Thank you Jordan for another awesome vlog!!!!
That is a very interesting Museum. You find the best places to vlog and you always make it so interesting and informative. Always enjoy everything you do.
Cool adventures
This is on my bucket list, thanks Jordan
Enjoyed it so much. History is always interesting. Thank you Jordan.
I wish I could have met you Jordan! I work within walking distance to Dealey Plaza.
I really enjoyed this Red Museum, learned so much. Great vlog Jordan ,thank you.
Thank you, Jordan!!! another good one!
Morning Jordan, have a great day!
That was terrific, I love museums like that, thank you so much for doing this one. The toaster, Mary Kay, maternity clothes, Spankys pants, such an interesting array of items to see. Fantastico!!!
Wow a lot information, very nice. Spanky from Texas. Now I want to go to the Big Red Museum
This one was really interesting, and the way you explain things makes it that much better. I would like to think I would visit some of these places one day.
Always amazed me how close the actual building is to the shot places, when you're there in person it is so much smaller of an area. Definitely not a hard shot for an ex marine with the car slowing down.
Garland FX I don’t think he fired the third shot because how can one bullet go through two people and the third blow his head off
HI Jordan, love your videos on historic places and people. What's the link to your friend's vlog that you mentioned in your visit to Dealey Plaza? Thanks!
Great video.
Great vlog, luved the museum and the assassination location, never new about the X marks the spot on the road.
Amazing Vlog Jordan l would love that frozen margarita machine. I remember toaster with pull down sides lol. Really enjoyed seeing JFK location and the museum
I remember it all as though it was yesterday. Thanks again for a great video.
Hi Jordan, what a great little Museum for $8.00, a lot of interesting little things in there from criminal artifacts to J.R's hat, well worth the money. Dealey Plaza though, really does look a smaller than you imagine, and the grassy knoll looks slightly lower, mind you, with all the visitors over the years it's understandable. Great vlog Jordan.
Well worth the admission
Obsessed with the Kennedy’s. I’d love to visit this, and The Kennedy graves at Arlington. Have you vlogged there at all, Jordan? Greetings from the UK.
Fantastic vlog Jordan!! The Old Red Museum was lovely! I love the historical architecture too!! That was great that you touched on the JFK thing. I saw Breck's mini series on it and it was great. Thanks for the amazing vlogs you do!!
I took my mom(70) and my daughter(27)there last year. You know, you see it on tv and the area looks huge. It's shocking. I thought the X's were for the 2 shots, or, like you said, Jackie getting the skull or secret service to help. Either way, those X's are SO close! We didn't get a chance to go to the other buildings. We were taking her to the airport and just thought we'd pop over there. Great vlog.
Great vlog and I still watch Joe Bob! ;)
I was 10-years-old in 5th grade that November 22nd day in 1963 when head cafeteria worker walked in to my classroom whispered in my teachers ear that President John F Kennedy had been shot and then the teacher let everyone in the classroom know what had happened. Following weekend my entire family stayed glued to our black and white television set watching the news on Kennedy and funeral procession at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. America was in shock and not just me but ask anyone from that time in history they can tell you where they were when our president was assassinated.
Enjoyed it immensley!!!
I was there, drove from PGH to DAL went to a Pens game in American Airlines Center, saw all the JFK stuff then drove to San Diego...fun trip
The Penguins won btw
GO PENS 🐧 🏒
When I was stationed At Ft. Sill, Ok, my buddy's ride got stolen from Lawton and the cops found it in Dallas. That's how I got to see this place. Had to take my buddy to retrieve his ride and as luck would have it, the car was good. Nothing was missing or damaged.
I loved Mr. Peppermint as a child
I've literally just found you on RUclips yesterday, and I've been working my way through all your road trips. Probably one of my favourite RUclipsrs already. You and jah are awesome Jordan. Subbed😎
Thanks for all the great videos
I had to go to court in Dallas once and the courthouse I was in was used as the Police station in Robocop and was also the building where Ruby shot Oswald.
You know what was an oddity, is mr peppermint was the dad of the main guy from but hole surfers
Gibby Haynes?
@@DazewithJordantheLion yep! You can look up some articles in the observer online. I wish I would have known you were in Dallas. I have access to the bull used in urban cowboy. It is about 3 or 4 blocks from the red courthouse. Hope you had a good time here in Dallas
Anytime I see the history of my state it makes me both proud and sick to see the history of Texas. I hope you had a great time Jordan.
AWSOME VLOG!!!!!!
Did NOT expect to see Spanky’s pants in this vlog! How classic is that? 😂👍
The Red Museum was a treat!
Thanks
Good work
Hi Jordan! Did you know there is a GIANT EYE located at 1600 Elm St. In Dallas?
airbrushjim24 it just sits there...🤣
Really love your channel.New to your channel and been watching your videos like back to back.Very interesting, and you do a great job with it.Its something how you could walk by a place. And not hnow someone famous lived there.Or something happened there along time ago.And it still looks the same.Use to walk past James Deans NY apartment everyday. And didnt know.Very interesting stuff.👍
Hey Jordan, when do you plan on doing a livestream again?
The Kennedy road seems bigger in the pictures from that time than it does now. Today it seems very small. It could be that stuff has built up around the road or maybe angles & distance have something to do with it.
You are awesome. Don't forget that awesome .
Interesting stuff.. I hope you are enjoying your time in Texas. Hug Jah for me. Safe travels
You should go to bodi the abandoned ghost town
Blind lemon Jefferson was the first famous blues guitarist 1926. In 1981 David Lee Roth of the band Van Halen s a i d Dallas you have a lot to be proud of. He was right
The black Lincoln JFK was shot in is in a museum in Michigan.
You look very nice in this video
What a great blog the museum in Dallas I live here an awesome please thanks Mr.jordan
