    Omg thank you I’ll definitely try your recipe…I just made a clay deodorant the other day and added magnesium and zinc with a few butters and oils. I used Kokum butter instead of beeswax and it came out great!(had to put in refrigerator for 30 mins for it to solidify)…My Recipe: Kokum, Shea, Mango butters, apricot/sweet almond/castor oils, Rosemary, Geranium, Pacthouli, Tea Tree essential oils, zinc oxide, magnesium and Kaolin white clay….I bought your book too on Amazon for my Kindle. ❤️🖤💚

      Thank you so much for sharing your recipe 😊. That is so thoughtful, I really appreciate that. Thanks for purchasing the ebook, let me know if you try any of the other recipes. 😀 I think the magnesium and zinc sound like good additions. Kokum butter is one I haven't tried, mango butter is my favorite. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂💃🏿

    I've found that clay based deodarants work THE very best when it comes to natural deodarants. I like your ingredients.

    I just found you and watched your other deodorant video. I want to try making both kinds to see which one works best for me. I have a question as to why you advised not to use coconut oil in this video, but added it in your other one. I'm not knowledgeable about the homemade deodorants, which is why I am asking someone who is. Namely you! I love that you go over each ingredient and why it's beneficial. I love your calming voice and sweet demeanor. I subscribed and look forward to watching and learning more from you on my journey to making and using healthier products. Thank you so much! Shalom!

      Shalom, nice to meet you! This formula has a different ratio so I prefer a thinner oil, otherwise it may be too stiff.

    Going through peri-menopause so I have been using herbs to balance my hormones and this is a good idea. My skin is drier now because of changing hormones so I would have to use a different clay though.

    • @HerHealthyHome
      @HerHealthyHome  3 года назад +1

      Kaolin clay would probably work really well, or my recipe without clay might be even better. What herbs are you using and how is it coming along? I just filled a video today about herbs for the menstrual cycle but you have me a possible idea, as many who watch are also at the menopause transition. Thanks for stopping by 🙂🌿

    I would recommend mixing in glass, not metal. Bentonite clay will start a chemical reaction when it comes in contact with metal. This will reduce the benefits, just like adding essential oils too early.

    Hi There. I'm enjoying your videos. Can you make a deodorant using.... diatomaceous earth? I love diatomaceous earth. I bought a bag to make deodorant, now I have a ton left over.

      Sure, replace it with the cornstarch and/or arrow root

    Can I substitute Rhassoul Clay instead of Bentonite Clay? I just happen to have it on hand and I have very dry skin. I’ve never made deodorant before. If possible, I’d like to use ingredients that I have on hand.

    • @HerHealthyHome
      @HerHealthyHome  2 года назад +1

      Yes, absolutely, I don't see why not. Though I haven't worked with rhassoul, any clay should work, some are just more drying and moisturizing. Thanks for watching.

    I've heard that with bentonite clay one should not use steel or aluminum utensils or containers to mix. What is your insight on that?

    • @HerHealthyHome
      @HerHealthyHome  2 года назад

      Yes, I use plastic mixing spoons for this purpose. You could transfer the mixture to a glass mixing bowl before adding the clay if you'd like. I'm not sure that trace amounts of the minerals might not be in it already. Try using a glass pot if you have it I suppose.

      This is correct, Bentonite clay quickly absorbs the metals properties, so only glass or plastic should come into contact with it
