    Awesome video and love the intro of the video showing the struggle to get out the bed to brave the cold..
    The images and the Pano looks absolutely stunning considering the challenging conditions. Thanks for capturing the memories of the morning and the company..

    This series is picking up quite well. Great character development along with the introduction of new protagonists and supporting cast and crew.

      It really takes a turn in season 2 😂. Virat will play a great support lead in the next episode (if he doesn't end up on the cutting room floor 😉)

    Hello Greg, i have one question: do you level the startracker only with the mobile? Is that the reason for the shutter speed 1 minute? Congratulation for the great panorama.

    • @GrowPhotography
      @GrowPhotography  10 месяцев назад

      Apologies for the delayed response Dirk, I only just noticed your comment. I use the bubble on the tripod to level the tracker, then use a compass app and clinometer app on the phone to polar align the tracker. Using this method I can get tracked shots of up to 5 minutes with my 20mm lens but find shorter shutter speeds of around 60s enough. More recently I have also started stacking the tracked shots to increase the available data when more detail is required.

      Cheers Dennis, and appreciate your continued support. Stay tuned for another outing from last weekend where I headed to salt lakes east of Perth. We had some awesome conditions - will probably be a month away by the time I finish editing 😂

    Dark scary nights, cold hands, feeling tired, but when you look at the back of the screen after that 1st shot it's all worth it.

      Hi Sara, yes I have - check out my Pinnacles video where I run thru my compass & clino technique which is perfect for wide field astro landscape photography.

    Beautiful production your Milky Way image is exceptional. Is that Astro mod camera?

      Thanks so much for your kind words Shuping. No, the camera is just a standard Z6, no astro mod.

    Every image of the milky way i saw was vertical, now is that?

    • @GrowPhotography
      @GrowPhotography  Год назад

      The orientation of the Milkyway depends on a number of factors including time of year, time of night, where you are on the planet. At this time of year in my location, Perth Western Australia, the Milkyway is oriented horizontally as it sets in the western sky.

      @@GrowPhotography then the spiral is not "that" flat disk, its actually very very massive thickness in the surface dimension.

    • @GrowPhotography
      @GrowPhotography  Год назад

      @@hideentity1518 I'm not sure I'm following your logic and I'm definitely not an expert in astronomy, just a photography who enjoys shooting what I see in the night sky. My understanding is our solar system is sitting out on one of the arms of the galaxy and when shooting towards the Milkway core we are shooting thru a flat disk with a bulbous core.

      @@GrowPhotography yes, that's what i meant. But my focus in this photo is the edges which look kind of strange like they towards down and not deep. Anyway thanks for your time. Incredible photo.

      @@hideentity1518 No problematic and thanks for watching. Just keep in mind the vaguaries of the different projections used to represent this 3 dimensional space onto a 2 dimensional image. The field of view is about 180 degrees horizontally so distortions are introduced.
