What a sweet round beautiful tone Sierra was able to pull even way back when. She had the chops and tone as a kid that most strive to reach through adulthood. It's been wonderful to be able to watch her blossom into one of the greats with a well deserved career doing what she was meant to do.
Love the playful and Magical energy here. Sierra's facial gesture at 41 seconds had me rolling. Ya can hear, see and feel the fun factor throughout this awesome rendition of an awesome tune. God Bless these kids-- fine musicians. Ya's may be a little older today, but ya need not mature!!
And far more incredible today, obviously 😅...but seriously, she might technically be the best mandolin player in the world today, and looking back on it, it's so obvious as to why that is.
It's creepily good...sort of 'Children of the Damned playing one of my favorite Banjo tunes good'.....Just kiddin...I know talent when I see it..just hard to accept it coming from tadpoles. Wish my fingers were as small and agile as theirs. But seriously...I hope Sierra&Ryan will hold on to the memory of this precious 2 minutes of awesomeness.
Sierra very ambitious entertainer. You can tell she doesn't want anything to distract her from achieving her goals. She stays away from controversy. She never says or does anything that will offend anyone. She's completely focused on the next tour, the next album, and growing her brand into a force.
It's funny that you say that, because Sierra today is far quicker and more technical with her mandolin today than she was as a child, and she was really good even back then!
they are not replacements sierra is already there. she has her own festival. saw her play at the ryman with doyle and bobby osborne. she no longer looks like that

I remember seeing Ryan years ago when he was younger than this. Bought that kids first CD. Very, very, talented even then.
Two great musicians who are growing up to become super talents in the great Bluegrass music tradition!
Wipe this grin off my face! That was both charming and displayed frighteningly good talent.

These kids are great. It does my heart good to see that there are some young kids out there that will keep bluegrass music alive.

Talented duo!!
Been playin' since theyz babies....Nashville Kids
Got work before they were two
She can burn the frets off a Mando, WOW! That bend at 1:28 tears me up!
Grandpappy Monroe and Uncle Scruggs would be right proud of these young 'uns!
Sierra is going to the Berkley School of Music and has her own touring band. Ryan has moved to a different type of music in a group Bluebrain
Sierras is now a beautiful virtuaoso mandolin player!
the best part is that bend around 1:28
I was reading this comment at the exact moment 1:28 came around, and you're not wrong.
Doing bends on mando is difficult. She must’ve had strong hands even at that early age!
How do you get that good that fast?!
If my picking hand could be as good now as Sierra's when she was just a kid, I'd be happy.
Incredible !
this is just ridiculous... is it even legal to be this talented at that age???
Wow! What else can ya say? Wow!
Holy crap, Sierra was awesome 10 years ago? Probably should have known
Holy Smokes! Listen to those young 'uns!!!
the best....
Awesome job! ♫♫
Look at them now!
great!!! luv it^^
vaaa toma baaaanho!!!! Toca mto!!!
A+ !
Just saw this for the first time. Genius! This kind of playing isn’t taught or learned, it’s just within some folks. “Why Not Me”😢
Damn wow holly shit
dang how old is she?
Bravissimi !
Awsome
how does she make a mandocello sound so much like a mandolin?
Great!!!
Great
Children are faster and much more dexterous than adults - it's not fair!

Holy shit
@alexpetro27 how about OMFG at 0:00 till 1:52
Thumbs down to those who gave this thumbs down

Ryan and Sierra are still playing bluegrass! Best in the business, along with Earl Scruggs and the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys :)
Good lord ... what are they ... like 12 yo? Amazing. Makes me wanna burn all my guitars and mandolins. 😆
Obviously folks with tin ears, and no heart! :)
gordon bennett
o_O'
Ryan needs to quiet down when someone else is taking lead.
Lol
natural talent????
Obviously 3 non- talented wish-they-could-be's that are jealous of young talent.
