      Make that small skiff with all the one modules and a beads and seq utilities (eg pams and o&c). That would be dope!

    • @whaleshaveteeth
      @whaleshaveteeth  2 года назад +2

      Good idea. I remember seeing a four-pack of Ones for sale somewhere so that would be nice.

      @@whaleshaveteeth It was your idea, and I'd like to see/hear what you do with it. No pressure.

      Haha, I didn’t mean to fill this skiff particularly, hence commenting it as your idea. Let’s see if I can find more Ones for cheap. I got mine second-hand for 80€.

    ngl you are the only of these youtube musicians that actually makes crazy beats, plus the editing and camera work is beautiful.

    These small cases are great for learning how best to use a new module and not get too distracted with a large system… but I am intrigued what you'd do with a larger system too.
    I knew you'd knock it out the park with Eurorack though! Looking forward to more from you.

    • @whaleshaveteeth
      @whaleshaveteeth  2 года назад +1

      Thanks, I appreciate it! And I agree, at least for a Eurorack noobie like myself, having very few modules is essential for getting deep into them. The temptation to just get more modules is strong because there's so much cool things out there, but by buying more I wouldn't actually learn all corners of them and would miss out on what I already have.

    Sooo cool. Thanks 👍 for sharing. I was wondering, how do you set Pam's to transpose the pitch one octave at 2:30"?

    • @whaleshaveteeth
      @whaleshaveteeth  2 года назад +3

      Pam's output goes across 5 octaves so when dividing the measurement of 0-100% with that, it means 20% is always one octave. So if you have Offset at 0 and Level at 20, it means you're jumping one octave when it fires. Similarly, if you have Offset at 20 and Level at 20, you also jump one octave but it starts already one octave higher. If you have Level at 40, you're jumping two octaves, etc. What a complex explanation to a simple topic, haha. Hope this helps?

    Been trying to find more info about this, especially videos of someone using the V-Haus card. Can't find examples of that AT ALL. Also, I've BEEN wanting a Beads and a Tiptop One, you pretty much just convinced me on both fronts lol.

    • @whaleshaveteeth
      @whaleshaveteeth  2 года назад +3

      Yeah, I don’t know why there’s not a lot of content around it since I’d think having all those capabilities in 4hp would suit most racks out there 🤷🏻‍♂️
      I mean, it’s very straightforward to use so I get it why there’s not extensive tutorials out there, but still I like to watch videos about what other people have created with particular piece of gear before purchasing.

    Interesting use of Beads as a beat repeater. How is the Beads always on time with the main clock?
