I just got my first tiptop module last week, a b-stock Z-DSP, and my vendor also has a b-stock Circadian Rhythms, which I am ordering next. This module is insane, it will take care of clocking, swing, gates, patterns... My god. This will be so nice in my drum case. It will arrive in 2 weeks...
very helpful overview! How is the system in this video mixing sound from the different drum modules, though? I noticed that the gate inputs for the various drum modules are patched to the gate outputs of the circadian rhythms, but the outputs from the drum modules aren't plugged into anything
Maybe a stupid question, but I only see wires going to the trigger-ins of the drum-modules. Their audio-out is not connected to any mixer, so how come I can hear a sound when they are triggered?
Any plans to do any more Sound Design vids with the DM12? that series is VERY helpfull. I'd love to see you take on the challenge of recreating 2 or 3 classic synth presets per video from scratch (or maybe all the sounds from a classic synth song) on a synth like the DM12. Its one thing to learn the basics of synth but to know what to do to create a bell or trumpet or lately bass or epiano is the tough part.
Hey man, I know absolutely nothing about racks and modules or anything about this kind of gear and sound making. Where can I begin and what is a cool good affordable beginner module that you would suggest to begin with? 🙏🙏
Behringer Neutron is standalone, can be later added to a bigger system, is pretty cheap compared to a lot of other 'entry' level items and has a lot of the building blocks to learn VCOs, Envelopes, etc.
I can’t figure this thing out. I bought it used but it seems to be triggering my modules despite the fact I haven’t clicked anything, I cannot for the life of me figure out where in the CR it is triggering from. I have tried everything I can think of.
Thanks, glad it was helpful. You can switch between 2 modes of how patterns are changed: 1) In Beat Continue mode, groups and presets are switched immediately and the step is not reset. 2) In Beat Sync mode, Groups or Presets are only switched at the end of each preset.
got my Circadian Rhythms and Trigger Riot super synced using the SyncBus.. which makes them one sequencer in perfect timing.. here to freshen up..
Thanks! Mine arrived today and I was up and running straight away without reading the manual thanks to this video... *thumbs up*
Awesome, glad I could help. Enjoy the module!
I don't have this, but I really feel ready to use it, because your explanations were fantastic.

Great video, it seemed really daunting at first but things became clear really quickly
Best explanation I’ve found, thanks
Great overview (and appetizer)... Thanks!
Thanks for the great video, this demystified the hell out of this module.
Awesome sauce, thanks for making this tut!
I thought mine was faulty. Having watched your vid, I realise it was my brain... Many many thanks!!

Thanks for the tutorial! Perfect as always. Im trying to decide between Metron and this !
Waooow thanks a lot..,for your tuto.Your are very good at teachin!U re zee only one that really explain the Circ Seq! Thks!
Thanks for the tutorial! My Circadian is coming in tomorrow and your tutorial already made it a lot less daunting. I was quite scared tbh haha
Incredibly succinct video, thank you ;)
Really great tutorials! thank you. amazing clarity for me. not just this particular one but in general.
I had no idea it was this powerful.
Thank you so much for this great tutorial...very well done and informative!!
Great intelligent informative & focused video. Thanks!
Thanks for this video .....helps me a lot!
Neat, thank you for sharing, first ive seen the sequencer, class was really good and certainly helpful.. Rock Onnn,

Great explanation thanks !

yeah please explain!
TipTop has a thing called mix bus where the audio is sent through the eurorack power system
@@stealthyllama24 oh wild! I’d never heard of that. Sounds fun
Exactly what I’m looking for. Great demo.
Groups - > presets - > channels - > steps - > sub steps. (you missed the ones on the zoom page)
cool lesson on this confusing drum sequencer! Would you still recommend it in 2020 or another drum sequencer and if so what sequencer is better?
If you just want drums this is a perfect sequencer. If you want melody, look elsewhere.
What’s a good modulation source for this module? I would like to trigger melodic voices but not sure what to pair it with

Tiptop has bus mix that connects the modules on the back, so all the audio routing to the MixZ is inside the case
FatKingTubby Wow that is nice!

Hey, I actually sold my DM12 when I moved back to Canada, so unfortunately no more DM12 videos... (unless someone gives me one lol).
Aww that sucks.. got another Subtractive Poly Synth? Maybe you could use that.
hey,
can you program odd numbers like 9/8 or 14/8 riddms?
thx you so much for that helpful tutorial.
exellent
Love my CR!
what is the case used in this video?

Have you tried selling it?
Thanks for the great tutorial. I have one question: is pattern changing quantized?

Great, thanks.
crazy thing!

I was lucky to have just picked one up for £400.
Which 4u case is this?
👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
how does it compare to mutant drum modules? This would go well with Plonk!
i must be an idiot cuz ill press the exact buttons you do but different things happen
Russia rule :)
