Josh, Great video series !! I'm in the process of adding that same Lifen motor to my K0. I was stumped by what to do with the 2 yellow wires coming from the motor. (Video #4) You have straightened that out for me now, and I'm so relieved, as it was driving me nuts. Just have to order that Trail Buddy extra harness that you showed, and hopefully I'm good to go. I am now subscribed, and hope you have many more videos to show in the future, there's always something that needs attention on these bikes. Regard's Mark
Josh, one more question, can you give me the make and model # of the 12V battery you use in this video. I can't seem to find one that fits in my 3" x 3" battery box. Thanks,,,
That's the first time anyone ever confirmed to me that these actually have oil pumps I didn't think these small engines had them. I thought they were like lawnmowers they just splashed it around thanks for a great video 😊
I'm thinking of installing one of the motors in my RV 90. But I first need to try is give it a rebuild first. Then if I'm suffering the same issue I'll swap in one of these. I'll have to do a complete electrical build to swap out the old 6v system, go LED all over. I appreciate the work !
i didn't go into depth, but most important to an install is knowing what type of lighting/charging coil is on the engine and then wiring it up accordingly. Thanks for watching
hey josh can you post a link to where you got the exact Mikuni VM20 carburetor, the curved cap, the jets that were swapped, and the curved air filter intake rubber and air filter setup please? Thanks
Josh I have the 125cc Lifan engine 4 sp. auto , on a Z-50 knock off it seems the trans. is very touchy especially when trying to down shift from 4th. Have any videos how to adjust trans. n clutch on these?
I have a video on semi auto clutch adjustments. That is applicable to the Lifan semi autos. Not sure exactly what your experiencing, but since there is no clutch to disengage you can help smooth the downshifts by decreasing speeds before downshifting to help smooth the gear transition.
@@VintageHondaMinis How do I find that video and my rpm's are way low when trying to downshift like when I am making a turn around I am basically at idle. The bike seems like it wants to jump out of gear and I 1st noticed it when trying to start it with the electric starter it seemed like the starter would disengage but then catch itself pretty quickly and start. I tightened the chain up that seemed to help and also messed with 2 screws on left engine case but I don't know what those screws control. I did not take the cover off the right side as I think that's where you adjust the clutches on these but not sure. I will try to find your video as it will most likely help me.
60 mph maybe more. It will cruise 45-48 mph not winding it out. Totally different riding experience than a stock ct70 - Lots more torque... 45 mph on a stock ct70,maybe...but you will be wringing it out on a long flat to achieve that
I rebuilt the oem heads, which is my recommendation. If you get setup with a local small engine / motorcycle shop they should be able to refurbish your oem parts. There isnt a "cheap" kit for your year engine. I mean there are kits all over ebay, amazon etc, but they are not correct...

Great video! Have you done a C70 passport swap?
Not yet. As long as you can read schematics, all these swaps are relatively easy. It is the electrical that gives people issues
How much faster is the bike? A regular Ct70 is pushing 45-50 mph? Another great video!
