I bought an official Black Library Deathwatch audio drama from Audible. I sent it back as it all seemed a little forced and melodramatic.
This however, was infinitely better. The narration kept the pace and urgency ongoing without loosing any of the character.
The selection of music was perfect and perfectly mixed into the piece where I wasn't aware of how it was complimenting the tension and urgency being delivered in the narration.
Top stuff!
Just goes to show you that this kind of narration is truly not easy to achieve... It requires an understanding of the characters, environment and much more in order to deliver something of this quality...
(and injecting fitting music at opportune parts is one hell of a bonus)

I think this is the first fan written Deathwatch story I’ve heard but I do like it well done
I wish this was written by me! It was in a killteam codex. I try and keep this channel as much fan fiction as possible but sometimes these pieces are too good!

I love deathwatch. They are the spec ops of space marines. And on tabletop you can do some weird loadouts with them that make since but cant be done with normal chapters

Loved it!!! The telling of the tale also lent to the distaste of poison being used.. That is probably why they hate it as it seems a cowards way... You can not win by skill and cunning alone so you just nick them or stab them once and walk away... That is no warrior and that is no way for a Warrior of the Imperium to die.. Just shows how vile they truly are... Thank you again and I apologize if you are getting tired of me commenting as I journey through this universe of tales you have so readily laid in front of me.. as it was your channel that led me into this universe such a short time ago... I'm a writer myself, so I know what it takes to make works like this... It requires an understanding of the characters themselves along with a ton of other elements...
So... Whether it was hard work, talent or a combination of both that made you this adept at what you do, I fully acknowledge, admire and appreciate it. To someone like me, your videos are so much more than just audiobooks... One day i will find the words that can describe what i feel from listening to these recordings... I am so blessed you are here on RUclips. This is some of the only media accessable to me. The combat music really matches well with your tone and cadence. " Sanguineous lend me your Might !"gave me chills and goosebumps of excitement. It was clear that the enemy had different values. That was high octane, for sure.
I would love to hear you narrate someone's live game like this. Since the points are matched it could be pretty epic and make for a great story. It would be awesome if someone as clever as you and the authors were to, in a bard like fashion, narrate the campaigns and battles. Moments that happen quick would be described in vivid and precise details. The characters would come alive!
