@@AVoxintheVoid Appreciate it brother! just found you yesterday and the catalogue you have is fantastic. I am definitely going to make my way through the lot!
The voice work on this one stood out. It was emoted so well. It is so convoluted on a good way. " His insane joy was almost as terrible as his anger", gave me such an uneasy feeling. The blood match was intense. Like a shark frenzy. The work is very immersive.
This'll be my Huron Blackheart voice when I finally read about him, that was awesome. One day Sartak will die and be at the Emperor's side... worry not, loyal Astral Claw, for Huron Blackheart and all his fleet will die.
I do believe naming the planet Santiago was a nod to the classic old 80’s space western novel Santiago. Highly recommend checking it out-it reads like a Tall Tale set in a Space Opera.
Another great reading and story. My thanks !! I now travel your channel of this universe listening to the histories of WarHammer.. I hear something new everytime. The plight and paradoxes presented keep me engaged. Be well and much love and respect.
Great story, great narration, as always. I imagine trying to pull off some kind of Mongolian-esc accent is very difficult, so the voice you went with for the White Scar was a good substitute for it.
As ever, stellar work. Consistently high quality and an amazing soundscape and voices. May the emperor bless you and may you be propelled to great fame.

Thought it seemed off for Huron to let that moment of hesitation slide. Plus it was very suspicious for a band of murderers to just not care about this man clutching an exposed infiltrator as a friend. The AC in this case seemed incredibly naive to believe he was at all safe. Excellent telling of the story, but the fiction writer's story felt off in many points. A more fitting fate, especially for the Dark Gods, would have been for the Sorcerer to trick him with illusions of Huron and his band, make him believe he is slaying them and then at the end, lift the veil on the final death just as his weapon lands, to reveal hundreds of innocents that he had maimed. Then to be at the end possessed by a daemon who told him a truth he refused to acknowledge; He enjoyed it. Leaving him to rot in a cage that keeps him alive indefinitely is cruel, but not really worth while. Sure denial of death is cruel. But not really a fate that fits chaos. That's a fate more fitting of a Khorne Beserserker, to be locked inside a cage that keeps you alive forever, and to be forced to endure sermons of the God-Emperor, to hear it & see it, to be denied spilling blood and to be denied your own being spilled. That's a fate you deal to a Khornate follower as that is the most cruel cause what they are denied. For this Astral Claw though, escape is still a possibility, they didnt corrupt him, like they should have done, they have merely kept him breathing, nothing more.
Thankyou for the fantastic comment! I love it when my audience has such a deep knowledge of the lore. This is an old story and I'm sure the character of Huron has evolved since then. Stay safe Vox

As far as predictability goes, this one is right up there. Don't get me wrong, it would have been bold as I'll get out for the author to write an unofficial work that got Huron thwarted even slightly but... they were never going to do that, and the ending was spelled out before the first word was down...
very good reading but i think you misread some passages i think his chest was a bloody ruin, not rain and i'm pretty sure he broke contact, not contract
You may be right! I can safely say in my e-pub version of the book it says rain and contract. I thought it was strange at the time but just put it down to descriptive Warhammer speech!
The only part I disliked is that Crassus is an ultramarine. officially, the ultramarines have never had a brother turn to chaos. Unless that changed at some point.

AGREED......

Feel like it's worth mentioning that Huron's familiar gives him the ability to read minds.
Perhaps the renegade codicier was able to shield his thoughts? Still seems awfully risky though, trying to lie to a guy who can read minds.
