Hey Everyone we just realized the audio is a little off we’re gonna get that fixed and reupload this again tomorrow for y’all so sorry 💜
Can you guys do "Little Drummer Boy" around Xmas by Bob Seager?
Cool deal
2:49 - Amber, Jordan, for a song that's perfect for riding a Harley or another bike, check out his song, "Roll Me Away". It's on my main biker playlists.
A messed up audio version of a Bob Seger song is better than many songs anyway!
Yeah, audio is off. This didn't sound like Ramblin' Gamblin' Man at all.
A few times recently, have heard some 'scratchiness' and what we Older 'audiophiles' used to call 'wow and flutter'. Will still tune in regardless! :)
Since you went down the street with this particular song, you must now follow up with another great Seger tune called "Come To Pappa"
YASSS COME TO PAPA NEXT
Absolutely, follow the theme!
And Sunspot Baby
Yup
Definitely COME TO POPPA@! PLEASE PLEASE
“Travelin Man/ Beautiful Loser” is a must hear of Bob Seger’s
Can not like this enough. Beautiful Loser is my all time favorite...since it came out and always. Love his stuff...but that one will always be my favorite. Turn the Page, Against the Wind, Main St, Her Strut
Yes!!!
One of the best transitions E.V.E.R.!!!!
@@tracienielson7183 yes indeed. Those two songs (Travilin' Man / Beautiful Loser) paired on the "Live Bullet" album are absolute fire!!! 😎
AGREE! But gotta be the version from Live Bullet!!!
Bob Seger is such a talented performer. Such a variety of songs. Night Moves is one of my faves. 💚
Yes! Night Moves!!!
My favorite! Brings back memories from the 70's and being a carefree teenager!
I think you need to do Bob's song; "Kathmandu" next. Preferably the live version! It's a banger! 🔥
Fabulous choice. 👍✌️🎶🇨🇦
Katmandu
How about Sunspot Baby?
"Sunspot Baby". "Katmandu", and "Betty Lou's Gettin Out Tonight" if you want more Bob Seger like this. Finally gettin to the "rock" side of this legend. You been missin out. The reaction tour always falls for the commercial side first. No matter who they are reacting to. For example, I can't believe how much that Aerosmith has been reacted to without even hitting their best work. It's like Stven Tyler didn't even acquire a voice until he hit middle age.
Love the live version. Add Ramblin' Gamblin' Man to the mix as well.
You can never go wrong with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. Love the way Bob always tells a story in his songs. Bob is AMERICA. Thanks for your great reactions. Would love more Bob. 😊👏👏🇨🇦
Horizontal bop is a great underrated song of his
Dancing is a vertical expression of a horizontal intention :)
Before I ever hear a note, thank you for playing this song! This is my 2nd favorite Bob Seger song. #1 being
"Her Strut" #3 "Old Time Rock and Roll".
I love you you guys!
Beautiful Loser, Turn the Page, Against the Wind, Main Street, Her Strut
Those are my exact same 3 faves, in that same order!!
Ok, Katmandu is #4 and Nutbush City is #5!
Another gem from that particular album is "Rock and Roll Never Forgets"--a banger. His next album was even bigger with songs like "Feel Like a Number" "Hollywood Nights" "Still the Same" and of course, "Old Time Rock n Roll"
That whole album is 🔥🔥
Yes!!
J&A, you'll love his "Hollywood Nights", "Katmandu" and "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" !!! All Bangers!!
edit- I believe that's Drew Abbott on lead guitar from his Silver Bullet Band.
I love Bob Seger! All his music is great ✌❤🎶
The pride and joy of Michigan right there!! ❤️ He even had a home in my hometown. If you want more of that type of song from him, I suggest "Katmandu" (live version from Live Bullett album, "Her Strut", "Hollywood Nights", or the Tina Turner written, killer r&b/soul song "Nutbush City Limits" (live version). Also, in honor of her looooong overdue induction into the hall of fame, may I suggest "Hell is for Children" by Pat Benatar for female Friday tomorrow? It is such a poignant anti child abuse song that will really melt your heart. And her vocal on this.....man, the grit!!!!
I second "Hell is for Children" Pat Benatar for female Friday.
Get Out of Denver....
YES!!
You got that right I'm from Michigan too and there a lot of good ones from Michigan
Born in Detroit in '68 and lived in Michigan all my life. I've known Bob Seger, Mark Farner, Aretha Franklin, and a few other famous rockers and folk singers from Michigan since I was in diapers. My dad used to hang out at New Bethel Baptist Church where Aretha grew up just because he enjoyed the music. My mom is the youngest of three musically talented siblings with two older brothers who are both deceased. The oldest was a songwriter who had songs recorded by the Cowsills, Spanky and Our Gang, and Sam the Sham. The middle brother could sing like Johnny Mathis. Mom won Dad's heart with her vocal impersonation of Odetta when they met at The Alcove Lounge on Woodward Ave. My parents knew Joni Mitchell when she was Joni Anderson. Chuck Mitchell sang at their wedding less than six months before Joni married him. I currently live in Battle Creek, where Del Shannon landed his deal with Bigtop Records in 1960.
I love to see Amber's face when lyrics click. So funny! ❤❤
"Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight"
Please do this song next. It will make you shake your booty.
Fire Down Below, such a classic Seager
Masterpiece.🎶🎶🎶 Just a great rockin' tune
that has it all. The guitar is smokin'.
Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Yes!
Love that one
I call my car Betty Lou !
Ha!!!
@@dianedollion6126 So funny. My daughter called her car Michelle after the Beatle's song. 👍✌️🎶🇨🇦
Amber's dawning realization of this song's lyrics is priceless.
They should do "Horizontal Bop" or "Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight".
Still after all these years he remains one of my favorites
Bob Seger... The ultimate rock poet and story teller and plus he can rock it out!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Others are Kathmandu, Her Strut, Nutbush City Limits, Come to Poppa!!! And dozens of others to check out. ❤️. Also his Live Bullet album is probably the best live album.
Undoubtedly! , Live bullet by BOB SEGER and the SILVER BULLET band is the very BEST Live Album EVER ! IM a MICHIGANDER ! LOL ! 😆 .
Bob is so good that he has the fire burning everywhere!
Can't go wrong with Seger. Not a bad song on that album.
This entire album is full of great songs.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…I have few regrets in my life but not going to see him during his final tour will always be one. He is at the very top of all time greats! If he ever has a comeback tour I will be front and center. ‘Hollywood Nights’ must be next up for you guys!
Ya, only caught him once ("Against The Wind Tour"). What a show.
He still sounded great his final tour. Like he didn’t miss a step.
Saw Bob twice in Michigan on his final tour, and he still had it. Thank you to the kids, because Bob said that the decision to do that tour was because his kids had never had the opportunity to see him on stage.
Will not let me edit to correct errors in above comment. So Bob played 1974 BB game against Detroit radio station WRIF. Not "drug" darn auto correct. Played against the DJ's I think wolf man Jack was there too? Met Seger quite a few times. Nice guy
I saw him when he was leading the Bob Seger System. Winter 1975. He was the warmup band for BTO. Northern Michigan University. He was amazing!
Bob just got them pipes. Soul man if there ever was one.
I'd love to see you react to Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight, Roll Me Away, and Hollywood Nights. Bob Seger is the greatest storyteller in rock history.
"Katmandu" and "Her Strut" would definitely be my next suggestions of Bob Seger. Great song. Just good old classic rock.😎👍
Amber 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 you got it girl. Not many people pick up what the song is about. You nailed it. Bob is a living legend, his catalog is so very deep, and I can't say there is one song I don't like. You two like this then listen to Her Strut its a banger. I was a very young man in the 70's and in my opinion this was the best time for ROCK N ROLL. Yes the 70's was the best time to be young, sex was a very accepted . I wish there was a time machine so you two could see all the good music and just the pure fun we had. KEEP ROCKIN 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸
Oooooooooooo baby love it so much makes me wanna sing it so badly
You have to sing it 😂😂😂it just wouldn’t be right not too🙋🏻♀️
@@jeanstrickland2445 actually I started looking up the band and song on RUclips after this video and sang it man
Bob Seger is the man ,I love all his music 🔥
Bob Seger "Roll me away" is story telling
One of my favorite Bob Segar songs! Another one that really rocks is “Get Out Of Denver”, I recommend the live version of “Silver Bullet Live”. Segar let the rumor that it was a true story go on for years before finally saying it never happened. “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” is another great one!
This reminds me of my Navy days. The boat I was on was stationed out of Polaris Point in Guam. Every boat adopted a club in Guam and ours was Club Yobo. They had ladies that danced and to call them strippers would be to do them a disservice. They were exotic dancers. These ladies were treated like royalty and we were their court. They each had their own costumes and shows and their own favorite music. One was a Bob Seger fan and you knew who was coming on when you heard her music start, and her dancing style fit the music perfectly. If I was going to spend the next two to three months at sea under water, spending evenings in Club Yobo was the perfect sendoff.
Nine songs into Bob's discography, and you're still just getting started. You've got a whole bevy of great songs still to react to, like "Katmandu", "Rock and Roll Never Forgives", "Still the Same", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", and "Roll Me Away". If I had to pick your next one, though, it'd be "Shame on the Moon".
Rock & Roll Never Forgets
Don’t forget Hollywood Nights
Bob Seger is rock royalty.
My favorite Bob Seger song of all time. ❤❤❤ Thanks for checking it out. Not too many men back in the day wrote songs honoring streetwalkers and their lifestyle.
Bob was savvy enough to know that it was more about the clients than the women who helped them sexually.
Bob Seger and I share the same birthday, but he’s 15 years older than me. Growing up in metro Detroit I first heard his song Heavy Music around 1969. This was at the same time the Tom Jones variety show began! I used to play his records before walking to school most every morning. I bought my first 45 rpm record, Me and Bobby McGee, by Janis Joplin Christmas of 1970, shortly after she died. Jimi Hendrix, by the way, about 2 weeks prior to Janis. The Temptations, being local, were also popular and their songs like Psychedelic Shack, Ball of Confusion, Cloud Nine and Papa Was A Rolling Stone remain on my playlist. It was a musically rich time to grow up! I’m glad that y’all are exploring the music I grew up on and hope it continues to enrich your listening experience. Oh, Bob Seger has an early song off Rambling Gambling Man called “2+2=?” that is a good listen…
Yassssss never clicked faster 💖 My dad passed away a few weeks ago and Bob Seger was his favorite so this was super special to me 😢
Sorry to hear about your loss Wendy! My thoughts and prayers!!
@@patriotic510 ty so much, it’s been a journey, that’s for sure!
So sorry for your loss your dad had great taste!
Sorry to hear about your loss , Seger has been my favorite since I was 13 . He had wonderful taste in music my he Rest In Peace 🙏🏼
@@jeanstrickland2445 💖
Rock and Roll Never Forgets by Bob Seger, that's the one you need to hear next!
No matter what Bob Seger delivers the goods. Excellent choice. One of my favourite songs all time.
Seger is rock and roll, motorcycles fast cars and soul.
All I can say is Bob Seger ROCKS !! One of my all time favorites of all time. great song 👌
Glad you caught what ol' screamin' Bob was throwing there and on that note you should do Come to Poppa next, kinda fits right in with this one.
Oh you MUST react to Come to Poppa by Bob. It is awesome...same sort of grit as this one. I know you will like it!
Bob Seger is the most underrated, singer, songwriter & Live performer of all time between 1975 & 1995. He had 10 consecutive number one albums.😎
The album Night Moves is gold, not a bad track, killer from beginning to end. "He's lookin' out for Rosa, she's lookin' mighty fine, and he's-a walkin' the streets for Nancy and he finds her every time, and when the streetlights flicker, bringin' on the night well they'll be slippin' onto darkness, slippin' outa sight." Night Moves is a road trip album.
I've been listening to his music nearly all my life. I am so very glad to watch your first time, each and every time
Yes amber, it's "that" fire
You gotta hear my favorite Bob Seger song of all time "Ramblin Gambling Man!" That one was always in my stack of 45s I played on our record player when I was a kid!
For some reason the staple music for biker rallies at least for many decades was Bob Seger, Grand Funk Railroad, Steppenwolf and ZZ Top.
Without the shadow of any doubt if you went to a biker rally you would be hearing those four bands playing somewhere.
So darn hard not to think "they come and they go" as one heck of a double entendre 😂I just love Uncle Bob
Love this song! Thank u guys for doing it!!
You’re totally correct Amber, that’s exactly what he’s saying 😂😂😊
One of his best for sure, look forward each day to see what you two pull out! Another down and dirty Bob Seger to check out, Come to Poppa. If you like Fire Down Below you'll love Come to Poppa. Love your channel!
Roll Me away. That is a great traveling song!!! Betty Louis getting out tonight!!
Those hormone-raging teenage years...
Memories of mammaries...
Bob's songs always take me back to the good old days, when I was neither good nor old...
Roll Me Away is a great road song!!
Please do "Travelin Man/ Beautiful Loser" from Live Bullet album. It's outstanding!
A Bob Seger getting on a Harley and flying down the highway? You want "Roll Me Away" That is the song you want.
Oh yes, Bob Seger is amazing! I saw him twice in concert and it was fabulous; hit after hit. You should listen to Roll Me Away, Rock and Roll Never Forgets, or Feel Like a Number.
Ramblin, Gamblin Man is a super early Bob Seger tune. It’ll have you chair dancing for damn sure. One of my favorites of his.
His song Rock and Roll Never Forgets is the song Amber is requesting 👍
Hollywood Nights guys. Bob Seger is a treasure tracker ve of great music.
This was my first introduction to Seger. So much great music on one album. As you continue down the Bob Seger rabbit hole, take a listen to his live rendition of “Travelin’ Man/Beautiful Loser” from his “Live Bullet” album. You won’t be disappointed.
Bob Seger "Come To Poppa" and very sexy man voice song Will become one of your favorite Seger songs.
If you liked the straight up old school "Old Time Rock and Roll" then you'll love "Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight"!
Bob Seger's Ramblin' Gamblin' man is a banger.
You can't go wrong with Bob!
One hard rocker that surprisingly is still awaiting your reaction is Deep Purple's "Highway Star"--a six-minute roller coaster that's probably resulted in thousands of speeding tickets!.😂😂😂😂
Thank you Amber for catching on. Lol. Yes he's talking about prostitution. You really should react to Bob's really first Big hit "Rambling Gambling Man", before the Silver Bullet band. I believe it was the Bob Seger System. My memory isn't what it used to be. Lol. 👍✌️
ALWAYS Love Bob Seger!
Ok, next you have to do Her Strut! And then get deep with Shame On The Moon, what a beautiful song.
"Her Strut" and "Come to Poppa"
Jay and Amber....Bob Seger's Live version of "Get out of Denver" will blow you away with rockin keyboards, sax, drums, guitars and Bob's vocals. His best banger of all time!!! It was so good, Garth Brooks tried to model a song after it.
Check out “Ramblin Gamblin Man”. Another really good Bob Seger tune😉
Yes!!!
Rock and Roll Never Forgets is another song from this album that is fun all the way through. One of my favorites.
I'm pretty sure that this song is about a groupie named Esther who gave the entire band a raging case of ghonneria. They figured out the source after noticing that she was around at all of the same stops (Vegas, Berkeley, queens, etc) that coincided with the onset of the burning down below. ❤️🔥
Well Allen, only American Rock Bands can play music about Venereal Disease that sounds that good. That "Fire down below" reference is perfect.
I thought it was about prostitution
@@sharonalverson6743 It could be both.
@@sharonalverson6743 I was just being facetious. I was thinking about the "inspiration" for the song and thought it would be funny if my version were it. I also have a good mental image of the video to accompany my version. ❤️🔥
Bob made a companion song to Fire Down Below, it is called 'The Fire Inside' made about 20 years later...
Please do Bob's duet with Martina McBride "chances are" it is beautiful. And his voice is SOOO sexy. Its a babymaker.
Bob Seger Hollywood Nights!!!
I love this song! Another song I would love for y'all to react to is "On The Darkside" by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. It has great piano and sax. It's the perfect song for y'all to enjoy. I will beg if I have to lol.
Yeah....Y'all Got that FIRE down Below!!!! Hahahaahha......lol.....hahahaha.......Bob is so legendary!!!! Love!!!! Hahahaha.....He got that Fire down below too!!!! Hahahaha
This was fun to watch with you guys. I was waiting to see if you'd catch on to the lyrics. So proud of you Amber for catching on. In my opinion, it most definitely is about prostitution. Bob Seger makes it sound so good. I detect a bit of a blues influence in there.
Bob Seger was huge with me and my friends in high school! We all went to see him the summer before our senior year. Great, great memories!
Please react to Bob Seger -Ramblin', Gamblin' Man -Thanks!!!
Somewhere there's somebody not treatin' somebody right
Unless I've missed it, one of Bob Seger's best songs is "Roll Me Away". You will like it. Give it a listen if you haven't done so. ruclips.net/video/O4agsmOFga8/видео.html
Come back baby, rock and roll never forgets!
One day y'all gotta do KATMANDU
This is a gritty song! Love me some Bob Seger!
"Main Street" is a really good Seger tune
Ive watched your reactions now for about a year and of all the male singers out there that I've seen you react to, I gotta believe that Bob Seger might be your favorite up to this point. The man had so many Top 40 songs, as well as deep album cuts that might never were released as a single, but when heard, you can't help but think to yourself what a great song it was. Seger is a national treasure and a century from now, his songs will still be played because the themes he writes about involving the human condition, are timeless. And of course....that legendary voice!
One of my favorites is HORIZONTAL BOP.
Momma. His best underrated song....period!
"There's an App for that..."
'That Fire' goes both ways.
One thing's for certain, Bob was all about that old-time rock and roll.
The greatest Rock-n-Roll storyteller !
Awesome 👏 “Feel Like a Number” “ Ain’t Got no Money” “ Brave Strangers” and Shinin Brightly” are a few more great Seger hits
His gritty, super sexy voice gets me every time, every song!!!! You two are such fun to watch, thanx🤓
This song was covered in a couple movies - one with Steven Seagal titled Fire Down Below which used Segar’s song and another with Bette Midler loosely based on Janis Joplin titled The Rose in which she sings this song on stage at a drag queen show. You might give a listen to her version of The Rose.
Ha! You got it!
Bachman-Turner Overdrive….”Let it Ride” -Remember how you enjoyed the stammering in “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”? Well, he must have swallowed the contents of a cement mixer for his vocals in this one!
Feel like a number is by far his greatest tune.
Use to play this outside and dance every weekend. Goods times. ‘76-‘77
HER STRUT 💥💥💥
Saw him in concert in 1977. He is great!
