Out of all the people in this frame, Karishma and Jaya are the ones who look genuinely happy! Don't know what went wrong between the two families but I also think Aishwarya proved a great addition to the Bachchan family. It is always very challenging to accommodate into a family that has a different mindset than yours and I feel Aishwarya did a wonderful job at that. She is an amazing mother, wife and DIL and despite her beauty, success and recognition had always managed to remain humble. I appreciate how she managed to keep up over the years in the Bachchan household. She settled for a man way less successful than her. Women pathologically don't do so. In an event if Abhishek and Karishma did marry, the marriage would probably have not worked out considering how domineering Babita was. And Karishma was too young and naive and you could clearly see how much her mother's opinion and goodwill mattered to her. It would have been disastrous for both the families in the long run. Karishma was a sweet girl though and not high headed like her younger sister who is as shallow as shallow gets.
