Simi Garewal is just amazing! The way she speaks, her voice, the poise she got within herself is just unmatchable. Very nice way of asking tough questions to her guests and making them feel the vibe. No wonder every guest in the show seemed so real and comfortable while going through their life journey verbally! Love for you Ma'am! From Chittagong, Bangladesh ❤!

@@varunemani the boredom and all happens to women too. All the time. If we're really to accept the facts of life mere dost then the woman wandering with beautiful, tall, energetic young men beside her husband has to be OK too. You can't deprive a woman of her life, making her good wify and kid's mom while you wander yourself. Today generation of girls won't and shouldn't buy that.
@thv353 true..but most men marry for family and society, not for themselves....and most women are happy with it... like Jaya... because it is easier to be submissive and have a marital status than make a place for yourself alone, like Rekha... don't know why people are sympathetic towards her, when she chose this life for herself
So dominating and such cold eyes. He was literally controlling her answers. But silence speaks volumes and so did Jaya's long pauses in between. The undercurrent was so strong that even the viewers could feel it
Right! I don't get how he managed to become a Bollywood star & perform romantic songs given this total lack of emotions & sympathy in his face & features
Yes there is no alignment between them. No togetherness. There is an obvious strain of unease and tension built up over the years when they appear together in public.
Really? I dont see them this way. They look like a loving couple that complement each other well. He's very intellectual and outspoken and she's more subdued. They seem to share good laughs with each other. They might not be ur typical lovey dovey couple, but I see love between them.
His priorities are his parents his children his profession his makeup artist and many more then me but i m still happy with it Those words of jaya speaks volume of what she has endured all these years
She could have chosen her own life instead of being in this relationship. That was problem of that generation. She continued to with that emotional abuse and now she became abusive
This interview had 1000 wtf moments, I just love how calm and composed Simi is throughout the interview! Her grace, elegance and skills just astonishes me everytime!
As a woman, I am glad this interview is out there for people to watch. People rush to criticize a woman for her words, frustration, for being not-so-friendly etc. but hardly anyone notices what the woman has gone through and what changed her. Surely Mrs. B today is a bit arrogant and insensitive(about gatekeeping issues in Bollywood). But do people even see Mr. A today as a person with a facade and in reality, he used to be how he is in this interview?
Also why people don't understand that it can be simply age? I have seen old people who gets irritated, angry so easily and its not there fault. People needs to remember that before being a celebrity she is a 73 year old women.
@@alluringcloud I beg to differ, age should not be an excuse for ill behavior unless she has a medical condition. am saying this after watching a video of her behavior in the house today, very very unbecoming @「PT」 absolutely, this is the real him
This woman has gone through a lot and that is why she appears cold hearted to the media. Such a strong woman. Not all celebrity lives are glittery. Things can go toxic too. This interview had so much silence. Simi ji you were and will always be the one host I admire.
Nobody asked her to stay in a toxic relationship and take all in and suffer. She is not a strong woman clearly that's why she stayed like a puppy? (well, puppies and dogs are treated better)
That's a pretty dumb excuse for being an asshole to normal folks out there just doing their jobs.you choose to marry a superstar who loved someone else, you choose a career which involves lots of cameras and press releases and she is upset about the same cameras? That is literally demonic
I have got literally more respect for jaya now. She's endured alot but still have this smiling face. Her line about Amitabh's priorities has what touched me the most. She wasn't even his end priority but still she found her happiness.
These actors talk about respecting women and showing that by kissing and hugging and being gentle with actresses in public but the main women who is holding their family and reputation gets ignored the most. And then they cover up saying we don’t like public display of affection.
But point is, she was dumb enough to stay, maybe reason being kids. Because she turned out so bad at the end. She was childish and jolly in the beginning. Had she met a better man, she wouldve been better than she is today. Throughout the interview, she seems irritated or uncomfortable. Even after 25 years, there's no progress that they've made.
Understand why she is the way she is now.. it was a loveless marriage which was being pushed ahead by their children & their image as the most powerful couple in Bollywood. Earlier she was subtle but with time she went on to become truly bitter.. which is totally relatable
Amitabh sounded diplomatic whereas Jaya was simple, nothing, hidden inside. Jaya would have been much happier had she married a simple & plain hearted man.
she wanted to climb the social ladder. Amitabh is Nehru's illegimiate son of one of his rendezvous.*When Amitabh was not getting roles Indira Gandhi changed the rules in the film industry* - Said by Amitabh himself . Even the senior Abdullah of Jammu is Nehru's son Another rendezvous - Nehru is better known as the play boy in inside circles than as PM.
There was nothing diplomatic about them 2 both were just. trying to claw each other sarcasm at its finest !! Hats of to the host like always she manoeuvred herself well through it very intelligently gotten them speaking the truth behind the closed doors of their house
This one interview of Amitabh and Jaya is by far the best.Jaya would get all respect of Amitabh wife at premiere of Amitabh movie whether Agneepath Or Hum she is so used to lime light there you see in nineties she is so friendly with media.but by 1998 Amitabh is so bankrupt and no directors would cast Amitabh in there movies because all movies of Amitabh line by line were distastrous flop.if Husband is failure not respected. this spills over the relationship and awkward ness is shown in there faces.Amitabh bachchan and Jaya badhuri always maintains dignity of relationship in media if Jaya say anything out of context to taunt Amitabh he changes the topic and express in lighter way with humor.but here jaya is speaking anything which come to her mind . Instead of Controlling the situation Amitabh gives an answer which annoys Jaya more and this is continued Repeatedly.but they are bold enough to pull each other legs and they are enjoying there banter how much they dislike each other as a person and this is all done with eyes and ears wide open
“That’s because I am a husband, I am meant to criticise you” - AB when Jaya says that he always criticises her. Sometimes I can’t believe he’s the same Amitabh Bachchan who I used to watch and admire on KBC show for his humility and non-arrogance..down to earth attitude and polite mannerisms. It was so normal to say such things back then without facing a backlash. I bet if AB talks and behaves like that now in any talk show people wouldn’t have it.
Where is she now ? There’s so simplicity , sincerity , authenticity in these interviews ! Coffee With Karan is such a lousy program ! I don’t know why people don’t demand this type of serials anymore !
She might mean that he is romantic only in movies with his heroines. Normally actors are not movie like romantic at their homes. But also it feels like she is telling the world about his affairs.
OMG, there are a hell lot of a "cringe" moments in this interview. I feel little bad yet so proud of Simi ji, for being able to smartly maneuver through this couple's discomfort. Hats Off Simiji
She said he would be romantic with this gf... Not me... We hardly spoke.. He said : it's waste of time... I felt she was referring REKHA It's quite uncomfortable
Simi ji:- "would u like to share ur way of showing love?" AB:- " i don't want to share it with u and the with viewers my way, I want to keep it to myself" It was a bit of rude of him.
Amitabh isn't that great an actor....it's just that he has had a long career, so now he gets meaty roles (since 2006)...it's mostly just his voice and height
Watching this just after watching Srk and Gauri's interview. How dominating this man is and how liberating Srk is as a husband. Gauri looks full of life and laughter while Jaya Ji looks intimidated.
The intimidation is mutual and respect/love is not. They are being together because they ought to not because they would love to. Money and image are paramount over happiness to them.
Jaya is suppressed... her feelings had been dominated by money, status and social ladder. She was such a jovial expressive girl in her early days. Such artistic elements had been missed after marrying such a controlling and overambitious person like Amitabh bachchan. She could perfectly project her worldwide career by pursuing her ambitions. But it's her conscious choice and we are nowhere to deny. She deserved more fame, more respect, more attention and love. A life of a great artist could be spent artistically... Thank you Simi... wish I will be a guest in your rendezvous at least once in my lifetime. Working on self development and hope I will become better human than yesteryear...
@@BeautygyaanBG no one is denying that. For whatever she stayed, it tragically failed her. And she continued to live in that illusion of happiness, family, children, money, fame blah blah blah. Lastly I raised questions about her choices. @a I can be wrong but we as an audience suddenly see alot of decade old news, shows, articles whatever and think that there life is still the same. I feel whatever it is, it is there in some corner of her heart but isn't dictating her life. Like common we human beings move on after a death, after divorce, after a tragedy. Plus Jaya now have her kids and grandkids who cherish her, can't say the same about Rekha
After seeing Jaya Bachan's public outbursts, I wanted to see her early life and interviews. I have observed that she was in a loveless marriage with a husband who won't let her talk her own views, who belittled her every time and tried to talk for her. Not giving her a opportunity to let her voice be heard. I feel bad for her, sacrificing her own dreams to build her family. I am sure that now she realizes many things and wishes her life would have turned otherwise and that's why she is so bitter. I feel sorry for her, it is true that no amount of money can buy you happiness
There's an interview of salim khan, salman khan's father, where he says that they approached jaya to act in one of the early salim javed movies and support amitabh and she agreed, she was a star when he was still struggling,.. Seeing the old jaya and seeing her now, anyone with a pair of eyes can tell that she has suffered a lot, and that he is a narcissist
Wow, the aggression, control & toxic masculinity is unbelievable!! Jaya ji is petrified of him. She has such class and dignity, held the family together and this man’s reputation. Right from the affair with rekha to being so disrespectful to her, this interview is a great example of how she was treated , like a doormat. Such a man is revered and praised. He may be a good actor, but is a terrible human being. I can’t believe how triggered he got when she mentioned she was a bit frightened of him. And the disrespect is insane! Jaya ji mentioning yes it was love at first sight and he mentioning, “ I wanted a conversative traditional woman who I can work it out” literally means “I want a woman I can control and someone who is flexible to stick around even when I have an affair” Huge respect to Jaya ji🫡 she definitely deserves better !! So many wrong things have happened in these three people's lives. After watching Rekha And Amitabh Bacchan's interviews, now we know that the diplomatic man destroyed two women's lives for his stupid ideas of the conservative traditional woman to handle his family. I feel bad for both of them, the bitterness of Jaya is often seen in the media for years and Rekha, being so romantic who lives in her illusion of her hero.
Oh cmmon! Rekha was nowhr in d scene wen these two married head over heels in lov wd each other. And despite Rekha also, later on, they carried on gracefully coz their sanskars bound them, especially Amit's Father, Late Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan, not some conservative vs bold comparison! Jaya Ji, is my favourite and I understand why her nature changed over the years. When husbands dominated and don’t pay attention, women get frustrated and take it out either on the kids or outsiders.
Is actually very sad that because what she is like nowadays, people are beginning to dislike her, but I have always adored her ever since I was little.
A father shouldn't rate a mother who stays at home and shouldn't call her impatient. She gave the right answer to him. Is it easy to deal with fact that your husband is having fun outside and you are stuck at home with the children. The one who looks after the children whole day long only knows this.
He works hard and probably does many things, to give his family a life full of all the luxuries; which he won't have to do otherwise. She is not an ordinary housewife. She has a retinue of maids, drivers, and all that money which we so badly want. Amitabh Bachchan is a bollywood actor who earns his living by acting love scenes with very desirable and gorgeous actresses. She should know this before objecting to his 'revulsive' scenes. She cannot have it all and then crib as well. I think we should laud Amitabh Bachchan for being so patient and accommodating. Media will hound them and say all kinds of things because they need media as much as media needs them. All these actors and actresses bound to have affairs. How long can they act and not be real when selling their emotions to us? Jaya should have married a non-filmy person, but even then there's no guarantee.

So true. Handling kids are not easy. It's very bad of Amitabh Bachchan to point out her impatience with kids. All parents get impatient at some point of time.. nobody is perfect. I think shweta and Abhishek Bachchan would have been hurt for sure after seeing their father belittling their mother
Seeing this interview in 2020, it is abundantly clear that they are a mismatch with no true love between them. It is clearly a surprise that they are still husband & wife. Probably because divorce could have had drastic effect on his career.
I adore the way Simi Garewal interviews and asks such tough questions with so much ease and grace that the other person doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. That is one great thing about Rendezvous with Simi Garewal
The fact that they did Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham and I thought they both had to act that kind of sickeningly patriarchal husband and wife relationship until watching this interview and realised they literally just enacted their real life as couple into the screen! If I have understood anything about femininity, it is that, if you don't let the feminine inside a woman flow and neglect the inner turmoils, leave it pestering, dominate its natural ways, then no matter how many roles you give a her that is societally considered 'a women's job' all you will end up in is a spiteful, emotionless, frustrated and depressed woman with absolutely no spark. This is what people fail to understand. Being neglectful and dominating is not attractive to a woman and definetly not what a masculine man would be in a relationship. You need to be in touch with your femine self as a man, to have empathy especially in a relationship with a woman and so that you acknowledge your own mental health instead of thinking being stiff and emotionless is a what a man should be. No wonder jaya seems so frustrated nowadays.
You have taken up such an important aspect of human lives and which is so prevalent in Indian culture. Very well articulated and correlated it with this couple celebrity yet I have my own reservations if even people would read it...But thanks for sharing such an important lesson in such a simple and easy to understand language

The way Amitabh is staring at Jaya when she speaks like he's ready to scold her at any moment she says something wrong. And the way Jaya says silent when he speaks like she has to accept everything he says quietly...
He frightened me!! He could control me like nobody else.. and I liked allowing him to do that. I wanted to please him.. Hmmm… Sounds like a couch convo with a therapist. Red Flags!!
11:10 to 11:15 is so awkward. Jaya ji was trying to put on a brave front and give that token answer but almost broke down when Simi ji stared at her with that expression. I used to find it quite funny when I saw Jaya ji's public outbursts but now a lot of it makes sense. She has had such a difficult personal life and that has turned her bitter. This interview proves how her husband disrespects her. Watch their 2004 interview with their kids, even the kids were mean to her and insulted her. They grew up seeing their father disrespect their mother and walk all over her so they too think they can publicly humiliate her. Even as recently as on Koffee With Karan 2 years ago the siblings were making fun of their mother. They never make fun of their dad ever. Shameful. Jaya ji deserved better.
Seems like Amitabh married Rekha long ago but for reputation he didn't divorce Jaya. It raises questions because Rekha even after her first husband's death, she still applies sindoor and gets ready like a married woman, she is definitely married to Amitabh that's why Jaya has become so bitter.
Such deep and meaningful interviews that helped us take a glimpse of the true personalities of stars have ceased to exist in today's times. Hope such a format would continue for today's stars as well.
No one can match the elegance of Simi !! The way she conducts herself is so classy , her voice is honestly the most calming thing I have ever heard. Make a comeback for sure , we are so done with trashy interviews and we need this class back. No one can do it like you do.

Wen kids is the reason for the marriage...means two people for not in love with eachother...today I came to knw ..the anger of Jaya Bachchan is due to her failure in love in the marriage..
Jaya has a lot of pain, hurt and frustrations in her heart that comes out in the form of her angry words. I really feel for her, especially when she speaks of journalists writing nasty articles that involve a family, children, etc. People who are judging her as 'doormat' and 'crazy' have little exposure to such fragile and complex situations. It is clear that Jaya loves Amitabh but he is not in love with her. Perhaps, they got married in a spur, and now regretting it. One is trying to save the marriage for her love and children, the other is compromising for the sake of society. Both are toiling for family and this cruel, judgmental society.

it is funny how many people here are feeling bad for Jaya, I think she has some serious control issues, I don't think Amitabh has any love for her for many years, I do feel he is a very family guy and loves his kids and family time. I don't feel bad for Jaya, honestly I think she makes him feel so guilty and never wants to leave him, She is basically asking for the way she feels. I just want to believe that Amitabh and Jaya were just having a bad day or a bad fight before this interview. But its Simi who has conducted herself so gracefully
Such a loveless marriage, both seem to be tired by the burden of carrying it for the sake of kids, society, image, status. Sad lives. Jaya is so desperate for little bit of love, appreciation from her husband while he is so cold towards her.
simi to jaya is he romantic? jaya says not with me that says a lot about their marriage and in my opinion jaya is in love with him but he's not in love at all I don't even think he likes her that much
Oh man it was awkward at 23 min mark when she was like, "oh amit ji puts everyone even the make-up artist before me." Yikes. Clearly unhappy but staying together because it's been years.
Jaya now remains so frustrated with life because she did not gain that "fame" in bollywood .... she sacrificed and compromised all her lifetime and her beauty did not get that much of applause in media .... I mean she deserved more fame .... Her talent got literally wasted due to household work.....
Jaya was a candle in front of the arrogant Sun......she was not only overshadowed but also ramshackled & baked by the gravity & heat of a Husband - Successful Actor, brutally sarcastic person & extremely dominant male. This Interview makes it even more evident
Hahaha... Yes it is so awkward...I am here after watching Rekha's interview and this one seems so superficial in comparison with how Rekha spilt her heart out for every question 🙄🙄
Now I understand why he didn’t marry Parveen Bobby or Rekha , that’s because they were his equals they matched his star power and were outspoken independent women. He married jaya because she never questioned him and he easily controlled her
No sorry to interrupt... But a man like him needs a woman who can support him... Jaya bhaduri was very seet and simple and peace loving woman. She was the choice of late harivansh rai bacchan ji and not amitabh sir. So lately he agreed to follow the words of his father and married her❣
He didn't control her, it just happened that she was naturally very docile and reserved that she will let a man take the charge and she can just relax.. it's different from being controlled. You are basically giving emotional consent to that person to be in charge because you know this person has the best interest for you. You don't give control to someone who is manipulative..you give it to someone who's respectable enough where the other person can be a man and the woman can just be herself and peaceful.
@@drReetHooda he dominated her a lot. She gave up acting because of him. He was very controlling in his early years. After marriage got jealous by Jaya's success. Silsila is based on his own life.

Can't believe I am watching all these interviews, I started with the interview that simi jee has with Amitabh and his whole family and then this. This is not just an interview, it feels like you are getting an experience of a lifetime of the person being interviewed. Applause.
Nice interview, but they are very different people. I felt Amitabh is more lost in what he wants and what it takes to get the image he wanted to be praised for. Jaya seems more focused about her role as a mother and wife. He needs to be more appreciative and affectionate towards his wife.
Jaya is very different now and now I understand her bitterness but even she has gone too far . She is rude and annoying and seems to scold everyone around her . To me she even looks evil - that softness she had in Abimaan is gone , she seems to be angry with the world , wonder how bitter she is with her daughter in law and what happened to her husband’s brother- he is no where in the news.
Amitabh Bachchan is a shrewd, cunning and serial manipulator. He has been associated with Rekha and many other woman. Watch Amitabh's stares and words in this interview. He weighs his each and every word unlike Jaya who spoke naturally with flow.
I like this interview (versus the later 3 part ones), the two of them were more in-tuned, playful, honest...like married people. I like Jaya's candidness on where she is on his list... 'if there is someone else..." ..................... this woman, like most women, knows. But she is committed to her promise of marriage, both admirable and sad.
I am yet to see anyone in the media or otherwise who is in true sense so gracious, elegant, soft spoken and conducts all interviews with such ease and make it all so delightful, listenable, and viewable. I Adore you Simi.
This was one of the most awkward interviews on this show I've watched so far. I get the sense Jaya is still 'in love' with him in the sense that she feels obliged to him and can't tear herself away from him. As for him, I'm not sure he has truly loved a woman. Maybe he's had passion with some but not real love.
"I got frightened " ! Mr Bachchan repeated with a touch of sarcasm and shock 😲 😳 Jaya Bachchan is beautiful 😍 and she was a fabulous Actor especially in films like Guddi and Mili. She made a perfect pair with the late Sanjeev Kumar and Jeetendra
ur right bro. Truth is no koffee can match any rendezvous. can Karan ever do one like Jayalalithaa, Dev Anand, Imran, Benazir, Rahman, Jackie Chan & all the others? Yet he is the one who has replaced Simi in Star World! Shocking isnt it?
Tbh the overall mood was so tense. Idk why but they seems like a couple who were forced to marry. I really respect Miss Simi, she managed the atmosphere quite well because there were several awkward moments.
I wish all husbands would be gentlemanly enough to befriend at least the most important person that makes maintains nurtures not just the family but makes a house a "home". But sad to see so many men just being soo chauvinistic.
I like how Simi addresses Jaya at the start of interview..a wife has lot more of her own other than just being a wife.. Simi kodos to you, amazing display of sensitivity makes you best talk show host ever👏👏
Poor woman I don't think he ever loved her . Probably he used her at the begging . They lived loveless marriage she says stuff which she thinks he loves to hear. Best thing from these marriage is their kids indeed.
I think amit ji is being very dominating here and jaya ji is just living a hard life, her pain is very much visible in her eyes and they have no chemistry but over the years he has changed a bit and i just wish them all the luck because they are very strong individual personalities
Scrolling comments.... Everyone of you knows how awkward this interview might have for them and for Simi of course. I have several times watched Rendezvous with Simi but this is the first episode I watched it fully.... And really can't express how deeply I felt the emotions they are neither trying to hide nor expressing it fully. But , things are becoming crystal clear that this is a loveless marriage and the sufferer is surely Jaya... I have never liked Amitabh Bachchan.... Not because his personality just because I often think he is overrated. Now, I have well known about his personality as well from this interview. Their eyes speak the truth more than their words. He has been extremely controlling and dominating male figure and she is just fed up of bearing the burden and still trying to bear it.... Just can't believe it. After 25 yrs of marriage, there is no LOVE. They even admitted something about"acting" ... Might it about the family life? Who knows... 🤷 They also admitted that the best thing of their marriage is their children. And the moment they were ranking and rating each other is really awkward.... Even Simi realised how might have their married life in real?? 🤷 More power to Jaya.... This lady has really gone through a lot....
So aptly written, but then why continue to stay in a loveless marriage, especially those who can easily lead a financially and emotionally comfortable life after divorce. They are very good people individually but don't have that spark between the two of them.

@@oldie-american Yes... They are very good people individually. But... Together they are like a "mess". But, if one marriage fails , then the aftermath of the life after divorce is so ugly that sometimes you even start self-doubting yourself whether you are worthy as a good human being or not. I am saying this after experiencing a divorce in my own life. After divorce the prospective of people about me has changed. They are staring at me unnecessarily. Save the life She is doing what lots of parents and couples are doing. It works for them inspite of foibbles here and there. The difference is , they are in the media
Better to separate than living a life full of sadness, knowing that your partner regrets your presence. Only Jaya would have suffered that way. But now all three of them are suffering. Looks selfless but it is the most selfish thing to drag a bad marriage because you can't see your partner happy with someone other than you.
Simi Garewal is just amazing! The way she speaks, her voice, the poise she got within herself is just unmatchable. Very nice way of asking tough questions to her guests and making them feel the vibe. No wonder every guest in the show seemed so real and comfortable while going through their life journey verbally!

So dominating and such cold eyes. He was literally controlling her answers. But silence speaks volumes and so did Jaya's long pauses in between. The undercurrent was so strong that even the viewers could feel it

Those words of jaya speaks volume of what she has endured all these years
Sadly, in their entire relationship they only have 3 achievements which are their kids.

Ikr, it's all seem so fake nowadays.
It's really hard for me to equate this man with what he is today.
Also why people don't understand that it can be simply age? I have seen old people who gets irritated, angry so easily and its not there fault. People needs to remember that before being a celebrity she is a 73 year old women.
@@alluringcloud I beg to differ, age should not be an excuse for ill behavior unless she has a medical condition. am saying this after watching a video of her behavior in the house today, very very unbecoming @「PT」 absolutely, this is the real him
Well said. She seems to have tolerated a lot which has made her bitter and irritable
She calls a spade a spade without mincing words and being diplomatic or artificial ...she is not a fake person. I just adore her
This woman has gone through a lot and that is why she appears cold hearted to the media. Such a strong woman. Not all celebrity lives are glittery. Things can go toxic too. This interview had so much silence. Simi ji you were and will always be the one host I admire.
I agree. You Said it. Jaya Bachan is a good human being.
@Sophiya Dulal many women also do the same to her husband.

So rightfully explained!

She seems to be punching bag of family and taken for granted by all. Suppressed lady
And later Aishwarya Rai comes who calls Rekha maa the woman who Jaya hates. You can check that on RUclips.
Seems like Amitabh married Rekha long ago but for reputation he didn't divorce Jaya. It raises questions because Rekha even after her first husband's death, she still applies sindoor and gets ready like a married woman, she is definitely married to Amitabh that's why Jaya has become so bitter.

It is clear that Jaya loves Amitabh but he is not in love with her. Perhaps, they got married in a spur, and now regretting it. Yes. ..u r rite.
Felt the same
One of the best celebrity interviews done in India. How vulnerable she could make her guests, without once raising her pitch !!
That rating round is so honest and awkward.
P.s. you should never tell a mother that she is not good at her job.
Really...no mother would like that.
I just want to believe that Amitabh and Jaya were just having a bad day or a bad fight before this interview. But its Simi who has conducted herself so gracefully
She's soooo damn generous to rate this kind of a husband a Big 5.
Such a loveless marriage, both seem to be tired by the burden of carrying it for the sake of kids, society, image, status. Sad lives. Jaya is so desperate for little bit of love, appreciation from her husband while he is so cold towards her.
simi to jaya is he romantic? jaya says not with me that says a lot about their marriage and in my opinion jaya is in love with him but he's not in love at all I don't even think he likes her that much
lucky h .
you must stop thinking much
niami agarwal lol true....
Sad. So sad.
lucky h I felt the same....
This interview shows us, never get married to a person who are not in love with!
Most uncomfortable interview for both of them seems like they are just adjusting.
Simi felt her pain too and understood his lied 🤥
Oh man it was awkward at 23 min mark when she was like, "oh amit ji puts everyone even the make-up artist before me." Yikes. Clearly unhappy but staying together because it's been years.
Seem so
Watch it again.... It was a joke that she cracked with a lot of effort and little art....
It's life....they are married.
Jaya now remains so frustrated with life because she did not gain that "fame" in bollywood .... she sacrificed and compromised all her lifetime and her beauty did not get that much of applause in media ....
I mean she deserved more fame ....
Her talent got literally wasted due to household work.....
She was a natural beauty
When she left Bollywood she was big name.
Jaya was a candle in front of the arrogant Sun......she was not only overshadowed but also ramshackled & baked by the gravity & heat of a Husband - Successful Actor, brutally sarcastic person & extremely dominant male. This Interview makes it even more evident
King22Rules88Hearts
Yes..... he is the difficult one
King22Rules88Hearts agree
Yeah.... You said it right.
jaya has so much pain of deprivation in her eyes, she has compromised all her life,
yasmin malik ,I don’t think so ....She is a very complete woman.Their answers tell a lot about their happy life ...
No infact she’s so confident
yasmin malik yeah I think too
That's why she is taking it on others now
@H S actually, she endured it for her kids and her parents and inlaws reputation..
jaya ji is screaming out loud that amit has not treating her well .
Hahaha... Yes it is so awkward...I am here after watching Rekha's interview and this one seems so superficial in comparison with how Rekha spilt her heart out for every question 🙄🙄
@@spdadventurer1754 Me too. That's a woman of substance. And these ones are so fake.
Just for record, when he married her she was a bigger and more established star than he was. It was the same as was for his son when he married Aishwarya.
That's a sharp observation!
Now I understand why's this woman has so much bitterness in her....😢😢
True yaar..
True
A very controlling Chauvinist man indeed.
I agree
He got a 5/10 as a husband when he thought he was a 7.5 😂 That was kinda hilarious. Idky💀
Amitabh Bachchan is a shrewd, cunning and serial manipulator. He has been associated with Rekha and many other woman. Watch Amitabh's stares and words in this interview. He weighs his each and every word unlike Jaya who spoke naturally with flow.
Even 5 was generous given how he has hardly been loyal or supportive to Jaya
I like this interview (versus the later 3 part ones), the two of them were more in-tuned, playful, honest...like married people. I like Jaya's candidness on where she is on his list... 'if there is someone else..." ..................... this woman, like most women, knows. But she is committed to her promise of marriage, both admirable and sad.
I liked it that they were truthful to the viewers. You could sense their sincerity.
I am yet to see anyone in the media or otherwise who is in true sense so gracious, elegant, soft spoken and conducts all interviews with such ease and make it all so delightful, listenable, and viewable. I Adore you Simi.
Thank you Meghna...you are so kind! Love Simi
+SimiGarewalOfficial u r a true example of classy beautiful nd so soft spoken... so much to learn from you... love
When simi asked about the best part of their relationship, I really thought they’ll say something nice about each other lol
First response by Amit Sir 🙄
"I got frightened " ! Mr Bachchan repeated with a touch of sarcasm and shock 😲 😳 Jaya Bachchan is beautiful 😍 and she was a fabulous Actor especially in films like Guddi and Mili. She made a perfect pair with the late Sanjeev Kumar and Jeetendra
❤
no 'koffee' can match this rendezvous.
ur right bro. Truth is no koffee can match any rendezvous. can Karan ever do one like Jayalalithaa, Dev Anand, Imran, Benazir, Rahman, Jackie Chan & all the others? Yet he is the one who has replaced Simi in Star World! Shocking isnt it?
ankit singh true
Yes I agree that Karan Johar has dominated the scene in the way he would do!
Karan Johar rides on Money not talent. Whereas Simiji is pure talent💞 love her!
a
Tbh the overall mood was so tense.
Nobody interviews like simi garewaal. She is graceful. Soulful Rendezvous.
After watching this interview, i feel bad for jaya. I can now understand what made her to behave like she does.
Applause to Simi Garewal, she did it superb. Just love her soothening voice and style
I think amit ji is being very dominating here and jaya ji is just living a hard life, her pain is very much visible in her eyes and they have no chemistry but over the years he has changed a bit and i just wish them all the luck because they are very strong individual personalities
I love how Simi composed herself during this interview even though there were so many moments other people would have lost their cool.
He said she is impatient .... but she led her life so patiently after his reality came to the people ...patience is taught by her
When Amitabh said that Abhishek has my temperament then how Jaya rolled her eyes
More power to Jaya.... This lady has really gone through a lot....
He's a ruthless bastard. I now I understand jaya for the 1st time on watching this interview sad for her he's a bully damn it
There's so much vitriol spewed at her for looking her age and having tantrums...the public favours her husband's lover over her... awkward.
So aptly written, but then why continue to stay in a loveless marriage, especially those who can easily lead a financially and emotionally comfortable life after divorce. They are very good people individually but don't have that spark between the two of them.
@@Pill-op4nh He is not a ruthless....... at all. Please refrain from bad-mouthing him. I think he is angry at himself for not being able to seek happiness and fun times for himself, so he mislays that anger on his wife, which is not right at all. He should talk to or spend some time with that special person who gives him true pleasure. It will be good for his wife and the family, even if it is a so called affair.
@@oldie-american Yes... They are very good people individually. But... Together they are like a "mess".
Well not everyone has the courage to get divorced and lead the rest of their lives as divorcees. Even if one has that financial security one may not dare to take such a drastic step.
No matter how much guys you date and ditch before marriage , it all just some how gets covered up if you find yourself in a happy marriage in later life. Really don't know what are they actually thinking about me while staring at me.... People has now started giving me least of the importance . And life just feels sucked up.
Simi ji please come up with a new season ,we want these graceful interviews back🥺
How intimidating is he. Such negative vibes. Ugggh, it's his old age that's made him humble now with his one foot in the grave.
I’m started watching these episodes at 19 years of age and I’m 23 now , I still watch them on repeat and I wish to see you back again ❤️🤍 It’s a request Simi ji , please consider 💕 Loads of love and admiration 🌸
@23:06 Jaya’s expression Would tell you that she was not joking and it was indeed the truth😢😢😢😢😢
Its easy to be gf
Hard to be wife
Man should understand and appreciate about it
She dont look happy with amitab
Fun
Awkward couple....look miserable
Save the life
She is doing what lots of parents and couples are doing. It works for them inspite of foibbles here and there. The difference is , they are in the media
Doesn't*
Better to separate than living a life full of sadness, knowing that your partner regrets your presence. Only Jaya would have suffered that way. But now all three of them are suffering. Looks selfless but it is the most selfish thing to drag a bad marriage because you can't see your partner happy with someone other than you.
Amitabh Bachan's reaction when Jaya says she is not bothered by the confessions he received was cold
Simi Garewal is a very poised and calm interviewer and knows how to put her guests at ease. Smart and kind lady.
They are so AWKWARD! I see a lot of pain in Jaya Bachchan’s eyes!
Congrats to the bachans for being so real in this interview. Really candid and honest.
Even on air, he gives me such a soulless vibe. Jaya will definitely reach moksha. 🙏🏻 What a great spiritual tool this AB is.
