"De-escalation" is a myth when dealing with aggressive people. The one being "de-escalated" must make the decision to cut the crap. NEVER has that actually worked. It’s not really a police station. Some schools (depending on where you are) have one or two School Resource Officers on campus. They are officers, yes, and they work for the department, but they are there in case there is an emergency at the school, so that the people there always have someone to go to, and there can be an almost immediate response to an emergency. The office isn’t really a station, it’s just so that the officer(s) there can have a place to do their work while staying on campus for the kids.
I got to have my son watch this. Respect the officer and you'll be treated fairly. This kid did a good job as well as the officer respecting each other I think.
This is the exact reason why I am doubtful about having children. If any of my kids get hurt from bullying or childishness like this, best believe I would take care of business.
You can have kids and still handle your business. But I respect your decision, competing with social media to keep your kids sane is difficult. If I had known what the world was gonna become I would not have brought them into this Satanic mess…. Best of luck to you!
At the same time if your children are being bullies are being immature, a good parent sees this and reprimands and corrects. Too many parents nowadays defend their children no matter what they do. It's mind-boggling to me as my parents would have set *me* straight.

I went to this high school in Las Vegas for my Sophmore and Junior years. By far the worst high school experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t even call it a high school, more of a prison. The school is over 300% capacity with classes up to 60 students or more crammed into tiny classrooms. I was lucky to be in Honors and “smarter” classes to weed out the riff raff. The cafeteria is always a hell scape with fights, horrible cafeteria food, and poorly kept grounds.

So how the fight started was a kid across the room started walking up to him, called him a few names and he started throwing punches. There were 4-5 punches from both before teachers jumped in. Our school had on campus police so the response time was within a minute. I dipped out after that.
This was awesome. Not the fighting of course but the aftermath. Officer didn't wade in "RESPECT MAH AUTHORITY". No issues with him moving the kids out of the way, didn't see any of the observer kids take offense - general school population respects him. Kid realized who took her down and felt safe (immediately complied without fear). Cuffs on then cuffs off as soon as safe. This cop is a mentor and definitely understands the assignment.
Here in Arizona we had a Master Teacher from Chicago that was supposed to help the high school teachers be better teachers and she was so bad at handling students that fights broke out everywhere she went. She was the most toxic person I ever met. I thought maybe she was working at this school, because she lived in Las Vegas for a while.
I wish people could understand that what people say about you and think about you is none of your business. I have been guilty of this, too. Most of the time what others are saying or thinking isn't true anyway. Getting upset about it and reacting negatively does nothing but cause chaos. Now that I am much older, I have learned to ignore others and love myself. I say who I am. I know kids don't understand this yet, but I hope they do in time. God give them peace.
The thing is People are able to be really nice and respectful when they’re being questioned about possibly doing something wrong. I worked in a prison. A lot of those guys are really good at playing innocent and acting like they’re peaceful and cooperating.
My wife is one of only a handful of staff members at her grade school who is trained in physically restraining students. This is necessary when there's violence or some autistic kid tries to run into traffic, etc. Every one of the defensive and pro-active holds (that only she and a few others are allowed to use in these circumstances) are so passive that it's all laughably worthless. They need cops for a lot of the things they can't handle because everything they are trained in is 100% useless. And they are expected to basically take it when kids are swinging on them full force
they try to, but not every school has enough cops around to do that, my old highschool is lucky to have atleast one during the day because theres only so many on duty during the day

Former Las Vegas student here (Moved out in July, getting a better high school education) these schools were trash. I'm glad officers were there to take care of the situation
It's good we have cops on the school campus, each school really needs cops inside the school campus especially offices for them too. And very helpful for the kid not to act childish or angry towards the police since their there to help them.
I seen the police use pepper spray in a riot at my school, a female had a bad reaction & she had to get hauled off on a stretcher. Some students managed to shut the power down in the school & a whole crowd vandalized every hallway in the school.

My high school wasn't a public school however it wasn't private either just somewhere in between and the amount of bullying there was... Was non existent. They had a 0 tolerance policy and everyone treated each other kindly and the kids with mental and/or physical disabilities had lots of friends tbh. I don't understand how one could POSSIBLY take a place meant for LEARNING and spin it into something else entirely. 🤦♂️
One of the few times I see cops acting civilized towards kids. Getting into a fight can be very traumatic for young man. It shouldn’t be made worse by poor police behavior. I hope the student can work past this.
At the high school i went to i remember as clear as day sitting with my friends on the cafeteria when all of a sudden we see this dude lunge over a table and start fighting somebody. We had a cop who was stationed at our school and he was a heavier set guy that people would always make fun of because of his weight. He was a super cool guy, never wanted to hurt anyone but he expected to be taken seriously if serious shit happened. The fight gets super heated, teachers manage to pull one guy away while the cop shows up. The dude who started the fight tried to fight the cop and all we see after is this man lift him up with the most amount of ease and full on SLAM him onto a table to cuff him. "De-escalation" is a myth when dealing with aggressive people. The one being "de-escalated" must make the decision to cut the crap. NEVER has that actually worked. Really sad that we now have to put mini police stations in our schools. Parents really need to do better.
It’s not really a police station. Some schools (depending on where you are) have one or two School Resource Officers on campus. They are officers, yes, and they work for the department, but they are there in case there is an emergency at the school, so that the people there always have someone to go to, and there can be an almost immediate response to an emergency. One of the few times I see cops acting civilized towards kids. Getting into a fight can be very traumatic for young man. It shouldn’t be made worse by poor police behavior. I hope the student can work past this.
That was a girl
If you truly love your children, you will find a way to send them to a school with no black kids or homeschool them.
WTF is wrong with you
At the high school i went to i remember as clear as day sitting with my friends on the cafeteria when all of a sudden we see this dude lunge over a table and start fighting somebody.
Whole cafeteria was dead silent. Dude was screaming and STILL trying to fight back while getting man handled out of the school.
People really try to act like kids dont have a choice in the way they act 🙄💀
Fights in school grounds are sad and as a student in high school it can be scary too.
Damn that OC spray would have been a bad move with everybody all around, there was students,, teachers and staff... that would of been a mess!
The fact that there's a police office in the school tells you everything you need to know
There is police in every school nowadays
there’s a police officer in pretty much every school now
I mean there's a school shooting every day in USA. What do you expect
@@kiya2586 that changes what about what I said? If anything it proves my point. lmao you're clearly the idiot. I guess you are a staunch supporter of school shootings?
@@kiya2586 Damn you have a really loose grasp of the English language. No idea what you were trying to say. What race are you trying to be racist to? You say I'm not white but white people are the ones who shootup schools. So either way you're a dumbass
Crazy how the kids are yelling at the officer yet seems like no one decided to intervene nor help. But got their phones ready for it with gleeful smiles. Kids are so stupid sometimes
that boys forehead gigantic
The best part of this video was the cop untangling the kids headphones from the keychain 😅
