Many of you might remember the splendid couple Gonzalo and Chick Korea formed playing 'Spain'. With Ron and Jack is also a phantasy.

When I lived in NYC in 1993, a guy from Panama hipped me to Gonzalo Rubalcaba; it was a video in which he was playing jazz fusion, not acoustic straight-ahead, as in this video. I was blown away by what I saw and heard in that video-and have since, never ever forgotten about Gonzalo Rubalcaba; it's true he is not well known here in the U.S. like a lot of your other major pianists(could it be because he's from Cuba?), but he's right up there with them in my book(and in a lot of other people's also)...2-9-23.

@@Zacharysandilands madness is actually by herbie, you can hear a little bit of that along with other miles songs in here. However this song "gypsy" was written by maestro Ron and came out first on his 1979 album "Parade"

@@figrindan8151 ah okkk. Good to know who actually composed those tunes from that late quintet era cause miles tried to steal all of em without writing any.
