    if your fishing that shallow than i have a bait recommendation, the fishcraft dr glide in the large size is a floating one that looks like flathead candy.

      That sounds awesome!! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll be sure to try one out this Summer/Spring! Thank you for watching brother, means a lot!! 😊

    You should do a video on all of your hardbody lures

      Hahaha would be too many to go through! But maybe someday, or I'll at the very least embed it into a video where I go for a fish as well :)) Thanks for watching Jack, appreciate it 🤙

      Thank you man! Appreciate it! I would love to head up to NSW to chase flatties more, some giants to be caught up there for sure! Hopefully this coming spring I can get up there to find some, thanks for the suggestion :))

    hey pootuffy do you use the fg knot to connect your mainline to leader? or do you use another knot?

    • @Pootuffy
      @Pootuffy  8 месяцев назад

      I do use an FG knot, been doing them for a few years! I used to use double uni sometimes when I couldn't be bothered tying an FG, but the amount of times a double uni catches the guides and snaps off you lure just really isn't worth it!

    • @CooperStandring
      @CooperStandring 8 месяцев назад

      @@Pootuffy yeah i was tieing on double uni knots yesterday and every cast i could just hear it get caught and fling out of the top of the guides, i was tieing double uni on a heavier rod 20lb braid 30lb leader due to lure fishing off of the beach, but whenever i tie an fg knot on light line 8lb braid to 10lb mono leader i go to tighten the knot and it just snaps. Would appreciate any help love your vids btw mate!

    Careful of the finer gauge hooks a big flatty can break them

    • @Pootuffy
      @Pootuffy  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah definitely is possible, the ones I use though are definitely good enough though! I like to use TT Tournament jig heads in 7/0, they're a bit finer gauge than the TT head lockz extreme

    Great Vid, are you team Shimano or Team Daiwa? I prefer Daiwa, how about you. Thanks Pootuffy, great video!!

    • @Pootuffy
      @Pootuffy  8 месяцев назад +2

      I must say that I am team Daiwa at the moment! Was more of a shimano man when I was a kid though. Still, I'm not opposed to Shimano in any way and would actually like to try out some of their top end reels one day, so unless someone sponsors me and I have to use their products exclusively, I still want to test the field a bit haha! But with that said, I do really like Daiwa products, really good/branding/marketing and the reels/lures etc always look awesome :))

      @@Pootuffy Hey, a couple more k subs and a sponsor is likely within reach. Keep up your consistency and it will pay off. Have a cracker week. Cheers, Peter.
