So, I didn’t see any announcements for the Ultra 400 CT5 and missed out. Very sad for me, so I appreciate this heads up. Is there any chance you know if they’ll re-release that sling? Or where I could buy one after the now? These 2 together are an amazing duo for “1 bag travel” 😂

Oof, sorry but 4.1 lbs is just too heavy. There must be many layers of material in some places if it’s a dyneema style. The Rainmaker is 1000D Cordura and is .25 lbs lighter (and as much as I like my Rainmaker, it’s already too heavy in my opinion). Also .5-1’’ too tall. If it was just ever so slightly shorter it would meet almost all domestic airlines personal item sizing. Pricing is spot on though, so well well done on that. Those few tweaks to a potential v2 and it would be fantastic.
Yeah I wanted a bag to go in between my lightweight EDC and my travel bag, but this is heavier and larger than my TP3 small in x-pac. Tough call. Edit: but the dimensions other than depth (which is compressible) aren't much different from the CT15... hmm.
@@adamcarlson4922yeah the difference is not when packed out for travel, but for everyday. It's how far the bag "punches down". If you find yourself using something else over it because you're not carrying that much, then the bag was too big/heavy for that purpose. In any case, I had to buy one.
So what? It’s a Vietnam brand👀that makes wonderful bags at way more affordable prices than some US made brands. And even those “US made brands” make a lot of their bags in Vietnam with equal or even better built quality
Lots of good bags are made in Vietnam. Most good bag companies produce bags in Asia. Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan. But I certainly understand folks who want to buy items made in the USA.

What is the width between the shoulder straps where they attach to the bag? I have the Assassin, and I find it a bit tight for my wide shoulders.

my current bag is 29L and 4.5lbs and like 35-50 pounds packed out idk if .4 pounds is that much of an issue. will i even notice that difference?

But if you are somehow traveling with that much weight already, then no you almost certainly wouldn’t notice the difference.
