- My review of the Crossfire CF2 Pack. This is a great compact pack with a Polymer external frame and great carriage system, that allows you to carry very heavy loads comfortably.
I have been trialling this pack for over six months, and I have put it through it's paces over many miles in Wales, Scotland and the North Yorkshire Moors, in all kinds of weather conditions.
I also have a discount code that will get you 10% off on the Crossfire website;

Ordered mine a week ago to replace my work field bag. Looking forward to something will handle the weight better! Great review man. One day when im a rich man, im gonna buy one of the larger bags too
I love my Crossfire packs ! Excellent packs for sure ! 👍👍
Looks like one hell of a ruck Tom. Thanks
Nate
Pretty sweet pack! Nice that it is ripstop nylon! Thanks brother for the review!
Cheers mate!
@@PreparedPathfinder This pack looks like it has great hip support. I imagine you were quite happy with how it performed on your 150 mile trek?
@@SurvivalScout2024 yes it was great 👍
Great video as usual with loads of relevant info. It would be interesting to see a video of what you take wild camping in the UK. The kind of things you'd take would obviously be different from a military setting but it would be interesting to see what you think you should take.
Looks like a really sturdy bit of kit 👍🇬🇧
Great review, very helpful. Thanks 👍
awesome review, Great pack
@@Echo_Mike cheers mate! 👍
If one can only replenish water at the end of the day of climbing, even during a hot summer (such as we just had in Croatia - and that means QUITE a few liters), one can easily fit enough for 3 days if extending the size with external pouches.
Roger that, yep this would be fine for a good few days in warm conditions, if you have a water source available.
I did a BASE jumping course in Croatia a few years ago btw, beautiful country.
@@PreparedPathfinder yup - cold weather is a different story; clothing/sleep stuff bit bulky. weight-wise CF2 can easily/comfortably cope with 20+kg.
Well, if you ever decide to wild camp in Croatia, let me know :-)
what did you BASE jump from?
@@zooombaa thanks mate!
We were jumping from a bridge, 380 feet high.
@@PreparedPathfinder wow! which bridge was that!? wow!
The rolls royce of rucksacks.
Crib gogh do decent packs and Savotta amongst othere.
You really need to stop reviewing CF packs. As soon as you mentioned the daysack lid, I knew it's going to cost me...
Ha ha, sozzz!
Does is compare well with belt kit?
By compare do you mean work well with?
@@PreparedPathfinder I'm sorry, yes I mean work it very well with belt kit?
@@Richard-xd2ds yes it works very well with belt kit, it's actually designed to be compatible with it,. Also it can connect in with Crossfire's DZ Rig to actually help support the load (I mention this in the video).
@@PreparedPathfinderi agree with your pros and cons - I would just add that the lid has one compartment too many - I think they went overboard with those… one mesh pocket less would IMHO make it more usable/simpler. As for the very top compartment, that big slot is ideal size for a survival tin!
great review of an excellent pack!
@@PreparedPathfinderhow does quick release work when attached to DZ Rig?
£310 for a packback! Unless it comes with an exoskeleton that carries the load for me that's far too much! I get it if your job relies on it.
@@Bikeadelic there’s far more expensive options out there.
@@PreparedPathfinder They make packs that suck you off?
I have a friend called Steve who sorts me out with some very good packs at veteran rates!
@@Bikeadelic why would they make a pack that sucks us off when we got you for that? Don't be a dick, or a wanker if you don't savvy American.
@PreparedPathfinder - I used my fingers to type that. 😇
