If you have super dry skin like me, DO NOT USE THE MATTE ONE! Some youtubers said it was ok for dry but trust me, it made my skin peel off. It's very very dry!

Isabella Nigro I use the Simple replenishing rich moisturiser, it's my saving grace, it's amazing, I got mine for $9 in Australia so it's super affordable to xx

U should try mixing the 2 foundations together. You will get a little of the dewy look but it will stay matte/poreless all day. I love using them together. I can't believe How well both held up on oily skin, Considering u didn't use primers & these are drugstore affordable foundations!
Misty Hinds if I use 120 on the dewy one can I get the matte one as 120 as well? Or do the shades run slightly different?

I love mixing the 2 formulas tgether too. It really does give the perfect finish in my opinion.
Jenny Platypus It should be the same shade because I did that today and it is, only problem i’ve had was with loreal where my pro glow was my exact shade and the same shade in pro matte was to light even though it was sun beige as well
Adriana Torres Godinez usually the dewy foundations oxidize and matte doesn't which is weird too me but that might be why the matte for you is lighter
I love how you actually take the time to get your hair out of your face when you do your makeup, especially for a foundation wear test review. A lot of beauty RUclipsrs don't bother to put their hair behind their face and it's so frustrating 😥 but thanks for the review!💗
I love the Dewy one I'm on my third bottle it's my go to Foundation. The Matte one did not work at all on me but I have very dry skin. Thanks for the comparison.

Mine did, I had 120 classic ivory and now it’s near the end and sort of dried out it’s not the original colour anymore

Love the matte and poreless one but when a friend got me the dewy one i was shook! I thought i was gonna be a total greaseball at the end of the day but it turned out pretty good.
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours and I love how you actually zoom in and show the texture of your skin and do a wear test!!
Sooo many beauty bloggers just put it on, don’t zoom in and end the video. And of course they look great because of the lighting and everything but also it’s at a distance.

I love using the dewy and smooth foundation as a mixing foundation because if I ever use a long wearing or full coverage foundation it always looks super cakey (I have dry skin), so mixing the dewy and smooth foundation with them just makes them look so flawless on my skin!
I have both of these foundations. As an older woman who had oily skin all my life, my skin has changed lately and become more dry - especially in winter. The Dewy + Smooth is hands-down the best foundation I've ever used. It applies like a dream and stays put all day or night. Maybelline has winners in both of these foundations.
If u have oily skin go get the matte one because after few hours you will get the freshly applied dewy foundation look. Im using warm honey matte and it blurs my pores and hides my blackhead on my nose
Dewy is my favorite foundation of all time. It is perfect for my poor dry skin.

I have very oily skin and just tried matte & poreless and so far like it even better than my $40+ Double Wear. For $5.99 it’s great I don’t see how they get the price so low and it wears so nicely. Legit better than higher end.

Maybe you’re using the wrong moisturiser?? I have oily combo skin. And when I don’t moisturise, my skin gets dry crumbs. :)
That tends to happen with dehydrated skin so dRiNk mOrE wAtEr and get ur skin more hydration cos that happens with me except I have combination skin 😭
I guess you need to exfoliate your skin?? Because i have the same problem but once i exfoliate, the flakes are gone. My skin is super oily tho
@@FeralGeminii try mixing it with some oil it does wonders, I also have extremely dry, dehydrated skin or simply do not use foundations.
Your skin is BEAUTIFUL! I have dry skin but I love the matte and poreless, it doesn’t dry me out or make me look cakey and patchy even when I’ve had it on for the whole day. I enjoyed this review 😊

This is such a cool video! Awesome seeing the two compared. I have very very dry skin & use the matte one (I like the look better) and it doesn’t dry me out. One of the best foundations out there & is even better than some “higher end” ones. They even have a good amount of darker shades as well which is a must with companies

I follow a DECENT amount of MUA being one myself, but nobody will ever claim to habe oily skin like you and I both habe.. you are just my FAVORITE by far!! Mindy, I follow her too! Those 2 and Nicole guerrero are my faves! She has combo skin as well but she, more or less, does indulge in the pricier products that don't always fit my budget like jazzi and Casey do!

I love the matte. I been purchasing and using it for the past over 8 years. Is the only foundation that proofs on my face besides MAC since my face was very oily in the past and had acne so it help covering all the blemishes. I tried Dewy and i feel like is too heavy and oily for my face even though it says is oil free. You can still see my acne when i tried. I actually tossed it in the trash. I went with Maybelline because i was tired of spending 30 dollars all the time for MAC and wanted something less expensive. Definitely recommended

If you’re worried about coverage, I’d suggest Maybelline superstay foundation. It’s pretty good but they don’t have a lot of shades yet but it’s good stuff.

I have really oily skin but the fit me dewy always works better on my skin as I also have acne. The matte & poreless foundation just sticks to dry patches that occur on my skin due the acne and I just bake on the rest of my face.
THANK YOU everyone raveessss abt the matte but it CLINGS to texture. i dont even have bad acne. just little dry patches or bumps and its so obvious
not to mention that's my fav foundation from the drug store and use both depending on the season haha dewy in winter matte in summer :)
Dewy smooth is such a grt 1 for everyday natural look..i can just blend it with my fingers..love it

Again, I really love your foundation videos! As a side note, I know you say you struggle with texture and breakouts and I just wanted to tell you that I had those issues too (we use quite a few of the same skin care products) and I started using the Dr. Dennis Gross daily peel pads and GIRL. They will make a huge difference. I used the regular ones daily for about 2 weeks and now I use the extra strength every other or every 3 days and my skin is so much better and mostly flawless. especially since it’s sale time!

When I want a matte look I love to put the maybelline poreless matte powder on top of this dewy foundation. This combo doesn't look cakey and it lasts.😀 If I use a any matte foundation it makes me look older even with high-end primers.😒

you are just the cutest and sweetest! Great video idea! Its funny you did this video, bc just 3 days ago I pulled out this foundation again after months of not using it! The last couple years after I hit 35, my skin went from oily to dry. My t-zone still gets shiny, but otherwise I'm pretty dry, and I can pull off both of these 2 foundations. I do prefer the dewy, but I can pull off the matte as well. On you it looked like the matte had a teeny tiny bit more coverage too.
This brand is my go-to. I'm oily so the dewy one makes me shiny and I need to powder it. The matte and poreless is my fav. I can't use the matching powder, I find it looks weird on top of the foundation. Try mixing the two and see how it works!

To get full coverage I'd recommend using a foundation brush to first apply and then use a beauty blender to buff out everything

As a person with very dry skin, *do not buy the matte one if you are dry* my face sucked it up like a sponge and it looked horrible. My skin was also quite sensitive afterwards. However, the dewy version works sooo good. It looks so smooth and it also left my skin feeling nice after I removed it

The matte and poreless one works beautifully and lasts all day but it makes my eyes water so much for some reason, same with the compact powder. The minute it goes on my face my eyes start burning a little and the tears come. Most likely allergic to it, but I must say it looks nice on the skin 👍.
Liking the cheeks and not being crazy about the forehead on the dewy one sounds exactly like me with that foundation

I used to use the matte foundation, I LOVED it and it’s one of my favorites but then I realized I have dry skin. I work at Sephora and could not find a hydrating foundation as good as the fit me, it was so disappointing:/ I just decided to buy the dewy and smooth instead, so I’m watching this first before I actually try it out :)
