    Awesome interview, genuine nice guy. When my mate made it past 20m for the first time alexey was the first to comment and like his post, despite having nothing to do with him. The best in the world spreading information and love for free, spread the freediving love!

    Great video! You guys are awesome & thank you for sharing your knowledge.
    I agree with you Adam. I have trouble swimming in pools and I can't stay under as long when pool swimming. I think I get bored in a swimming pool because there isn't all that amazing underwater scenery to look at. When I have a specific focal point underwater such as a rocky area or a group of fish it helps a lot.

    • @AdamFreediver
      @AdamFreediver  7 лет назад

      thanks so much! yeah pools are definitely boring haha and chlorine is never fun :)

    Hey Adam I'm enjoying your videos they're great! Keep it up! I have a few questions. When i'm practising my co2 tables my breathe intake sometimes causes me to yawn (this is me not in the water) I don't know if that's me doing it incorrect or stressing to much. Also whilst in the pool without fins is it best to have my tongue resting or pushing against the top of my mouth?
    All the best
    From Scotland

    • @AdamFreediver
      @AdamFreediver  7 лет назад +2

      Well if your tongue is against the roof of your mouth it will make it easier to control the air so you dont exhale when you get large contractions. Also I wouldn't worry about yawning at all. most of the time people yawn because they are so relaxed.

    Nice interview, congrats! I am most interested in medical/technical aspects of freediving. I have a question, therefore: did anyone actually measure the heart rate during freediving competition?
    I know, in a pool in calm and relaxed environment the heart rate can go below 40 (and mine was even 28 one time), but it should be a completely different thing when you have to swim down and up during a competitive dive.

    • @AdamFreediver
      @AdamFreediver  7 лет назад

      yes several people have measured their heart rates during deep dives. I don't know any of the results off hand and i've never done it but there is a fair bit of data floating around on it
