This is one of my all-time favorite games, and I appreciate how you picked out a lot of little details I adore. One of my favorite things about this game is the amount of depth in the combat, despite its utter simplicity. I bet you didn't realize you could get through the campaign with only one kind of unit - Infantry Only, Archers Only, even Pikemen Only. I've done all three, and they each feel very, very different from both normal gameplay and from each other. Plus, they all present viable strategies, you can actually win doing any of these. The amount of love and care that went into the game design there is just boggling to me. I do so wish there were more ways to interact with those systems. The game deserves more longevity, even when it has more than most people realize. It will, nonetheless, be a treasured part of my collection for, possibly, the rest of my life.
ok so first, thanks for checking out my video, but secondly, I adore getting comments like this, you've brought up so many good points here and I love them
To add, there are a lot of unique little details in combat as well. Individual units, if isolated from the squad or the last one standing can still put up a fight. I saw my level 3 infantry commander parry and shove 2 low tier vikings before retreating akin to a proper swordfight, getting bloodied in the process, it's so small but it adds more depth than just slash, die, slash, die.
2:55 mmmm that bomb toss was sooo good, excellent timing, I've been playing it a lot and even beat very hard and still struggle to land the bomb perfectly like that.
I am disgusted about the amount of views and subs you have this is quality. Its just amazing how much time goes into the videos it looks perfect. I will be watching your carrier with great intrest
I'm couldn't help but irritating whenever you put the pike squad near the boat arrive point. the boat upsetting the pike squad formation caught them off guard and get killed or even get crushed by the boat.
Not including my failed runs/checkpoint restarts, my first playthrough took me 8 hours(normal difficulty) , second being 12(hard difficulty). Some playthroughs are shorter /longer than others. It depends on you're generated campaign really. I did find replay value since islands are procedurally generated, every generated campaign has different number of islands(range from 50-80), items /new commanders are randomly scattered, different staretgies can be used with the troops, etc. I do think it's worth picking up

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that you let your troops being knocked down by the ships 😂😂😂
This runs excellently on Steam Deck with touch controls. Really makes it a portable masterpiece

@@TitusReviews i mean the video already 10 months old, but hey that's the spirit. Hope ya grow even bigger!
Looks fun but $15 seems like a lot for only a few hours of average playtime. Might wait for a sale on this one. Another great video man!
Thanks so much, and yeah I know 15 can be kinda steep, I think it's 5 on mobile though which I think is a bargain
The replayability is totally worth it
Im about to pick it up for $7.49 on ps4
I think it's not just average of few hours of play time... Jesus the game itself played like 1 week
