I am so glad you were able to bathe your cat without any issues! Yeah the first time a cat experiences water is important. If it’s negative every time afterwards they will fight you tooth and nail. Since you were so gentle he never had a bad experience so you should be good in the long run!
Thanks for sharing. I just gave my cat a bath and it was a traumatic experience for both of us, so I looked for better ways to do it and found this video. I'm looking forward to trying this next time.
This is very well done. You clearly explained important points in detail. Like, cut claws before bathing, do it correctly & avoid the quick. Use shampoo for cats, pay attention to under parts & be sure to rinse thoroughly. I'll share a few more tips. I use a shower wand with 2 hoses to extend reach & manipulate where I need it. I reduce water pressure to keep cat calm & the continuous water flow speeds the process of proper rinsing. I like Adams Plus Flea & Tick Foaming Shampoo & Conditioner for Cats & Kittens. It easily works into a light lather, cleans well, leaves skin moisturized, coat shinny & smells nice. Hold head up & start at neck, work up chin but avoid eyes & ears. Direct water away from face. I have a small plastic ladder cat can stand up on to feel safe. I also give them a calming CBD treat before starting. I towel dry next to a small heater that quietly blows warm air. It keeps cat warm while I use a small slicker brush to gently brush hair in alternating directions. This efficiently drys their coat.

I just tried this with my cat. She hasn't taken a bath her whole life cause she's too scared even if it's just one drop of water 😭😭 but didn't expect she was actually calm, didn't even mutter a single meow or try to scratch me. She just kept WALKING away from the water but i still managed to bath her, i'm not sure if she's clean enough tho cause i tried being gentle as much as possible cause she don't like being massaged for a long time. It's still her first time, i hope she'll become more comfortable the next time. Thanks for this!
Roux I am glad the video helped! Probably you being gentle with your cat, the way your cat trusts you, and the right technique made it smooth! Glad your baby is clean :D
"How To Bathe A Cat" joke I. Know that although the cat has the advantage of quickness and lack of concern for human life, you have the advantage of strength. Capitalize on that advantage by selecting the battlefield. Don't try to bathe him in an open area where he can force you to chase him. Pick a very small bathroom. If your bathroom is more than four feet square, I recommend that you get in the tub with the cat and close the sliding -glass doors as if you were about to take a shower. (A simple shower curtain will not do. A berserk cat can shred a three-ply rubber shower curtain quicker than a politician can shift positions.) II. Know that a cat has claws and will not hesitate to remove all the skin from your body. Your advantage here is that you are smart and know how to dress to protect yourself. I recommend canvas overalls tucked into high-top construction boots, a pair of steel-mesh gloves, an army helmet, a hockey face-mask, and a long-sleeved flak jacket. III. Use the element of surprise. Pick up your cat nonchalantly, as if to simply carry him to his supper dish. (Cats will not usually notice your strange attire. They have little or no interest in fashion as a rule.) IV. Once you are inside the bathroom, speed is essential to survival. In a single liquid motion, shut the bathroom door, step into the tub enclosure, slide the glass door shut, dip the cat in the water and squirt him with shampoo. You have begun one of the wildest 45 seconds of your life. V. Cats have no handles. Add the fact that he now has soapy fur, and the problem is radically compounded. Do not expect to hold on to him for more than two or three seconds at a time. When you have him, however, you must remember to give him another squirt of shampoo and rub like crazy. He'll then spring free and fall back into the water, thereby rinsing himself off. (The national record for cats is three latherings, so don't expect too much.) IV. Next, the cat must be dried. Novice cat bathers always assume this part will be the most difficult, for humans generally are worn out at this point and the cat is just getting really determined. In fact, the drying is simple compared with what you have just been through. That's because by now the cat is semi-permanently affixed to your right leg. You simply pop the drain plug with your foot, reach for your towel and wait. (Occasionally, however, the cat will end up clinging to the top of your army helmet. If this happens, the best thing you can do is to shake him loose and to encourage him toward your leg.) After all the water is drained from the tub, it is a simple matter to just reach down and dry the cat. In a few days the cat will relax enough to be removed from your leg. He will usually have nothing to say for about three weeks and will spend a lot of time sitting with his back to you. He might even become psychoceramic and develop the fixed stare of a plaster figurine. You will be tempted to assume he is angry. This isn't usually the case. As a rule he is simply plotting ways to get through your defenses and injure you for life the next time you decide to give him a bath. But at least now he smells a lot better.
I'm learning how to bathe a cat, because I heard one way to get rid of bugs like fleas on your cat, is washing it out with lots of water, so bathing it would also take care of the dirt as well. Thank you for this video.
Let me start by saying that my cat absolutely HATES and is TERRIFIED of water! I’m so glad and grateful to have come across this video b/c I couldn’t believe it until I tried it. My cat was so calm…well he was meowing a lot but did not attempt to jump away or scratch me. I was able to bathe him with ease. Afterwards I gave him lots of treats b/c he was such a good boy my baby 😊😊 THANK YOU for the tutorial !!!❤
Super misleading, lol 😅 how is your cat so chill?? My cat wouldnt shut up the whole time, his meows were bellowing, and he started to fight me after I rubbed the shampoo in... so rinsing thoroughly was HARD. 😫😭
My cat tried killing me in the beginning too haha. So definitely empathize with you! I think me pouring water from the cup really help to bring their anxiety down. Before any sound of running water would bring the devil out inside them. And having them face forward most of the time prevented them from scratching me. I also tried to be as patient with each step so not to stress them out. And eventually they weren't afraid of the water anymore. Another thing I noticed that may have helped is that I let them watch me shower. I think the cats observed that if their parent was also getting a shower and no harm came to the parent, the water isn't too bad after all! I hope this helps! Trust me showering a cat is hard.
@@TheCatButler lol, nice.. gotta let my cat see me shower. That does make sense, but also makes me laugh 😆 Yeah... I might have to wait a while to try to get him to not be afraid.. this last attempt was very stressful on both of us. I might just let a professional do it if there's ever a next time. 😩 But your video was wonderful! Thank you!
@@crazyAZNrae So I made a part two on how to get you cat used to water. I hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html&lc=Ugz51UShqh34w2OMJnR4AaABAg
You make it look so easy! My cats won’t even let me cut their nails, much less let me wet them and bathe them. I even have a mesh net thing to tie them up but they manage to get out of it too! You have such a sweet cat
Haha this video may help. Its how I got the use to water: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html. My cats were definitely difficult in the beginning. I still have the scars on my hands. But through patience and the technique in the bathing video I was able to bathe them scratch free. You can also see how to lip your cats nails in this video: ruclips.net/video/m3aMxh4G9DM/видео.html Hope that helps!
Your cat is so calm! My kitten is so terrified of water, even the sound of a running tap scares her but I’m planning on bathing her soon. Thanks for these tips!
Its a good idea to give a cat its first bath as a kitten, to get them used to it and keep them from being fearful. Just remember they typically don't need bathing at all, since they clean themselves. Only if they are extremely dirty, or can't do it themselves for whatever reason. Often it only becomes an issue when they get elderly, for indoor cats.
This helped immensely thank you so much! Got both cats washed and blow dried with no injuries! I never expected them to tolerate the blowdryer but they both enjoyed it after a little while! One was schmoozing my foot while I brushed and dried her. Now they're floofy and smell nice and no more bugs! Everyone wins! You rock! 😻😻
I tried this with my cats today and while they both still hate being bathed they didn't scratch and Scrabble as much as they do normally. I only came out with a few scratches this time instead of looking like I'd been through the wars 😂
thank you so much! with your video as a guide, I had succeed bathing my cat for the first time today! he moved around a little but not grumpy at all when I washed him. he’s a bit cranky as I towel-dried him, but with creamy treats and small portion of food as reward, we’re both happy!
I just bought a handheld showerhead, a long hose and water suppressor that allows to control water flow making it not loud and scary for cats. A much recommended solution. It also makes rinsing the bathtub easy after you clean it.
Awesome video! My cat is 6 years old and has never had a bath before, and also DESPISES water. This gave me so me some good tips to keep somewhat calm, and if I die in the process thank you forthe enjoyable video. 😁😂
Just reporting back. She took it really well! A bit of splashing everywhere when she was done but no scratching attempts! Just lots of noisey disaprovals when hinds had to be done! I lived!
Perfect, this is truly the best and kindest way to bathe a cat, so many ppl get it wrong and try to immerse the cat in the bath and then wonder why it ends up a disaster! Well done. Subbed.
I struggle bathing my cats as they grow bigger and stronger. I usually bath them with warm water when they were small. Thanks for sharing. You encourage me to bathe them again
No worries I am glad it helped. Definitely requires patience! Sometimes it doesn’t work on the first time right away. My cats took probably about three times and this technique scared them the least
I got lucky and have a Maine Coon! He's attracted to water and is so calm during them ( usually)! But yes, he's still a kitty and is done when he's done! 😸
@@TheCatButler Many white cats love water. Look up the swimming cats of Lake Van in Turkey. White cats with one green eye and one blue eye. You can see your cat is enjoying the water, much more than most and would love to have the tub partially full of water for swimming.
@@BE74297 My cats are not vans tho, they are purebred ragdoll cats. Its a breed developed in America. And they scratched me often till I was able to find a bathing technique that calmed them down. My cats have blue eyes not green.
So glad I came across this video. We are new cat parents and rescued a kitty from a shelter and need to give him a bath. We would have done it all wrong without this video. Thank you!
A good way to get cats to not be so angry during bathing is to start when they are young and reward them with treats afterward! (rewarding with treats for good behavior is how we got our cats to stop being so scratchy or squabbly during baths)
Year:2024. Sir, I chided my husband that this would never work with feral kittens, I owe him and you an apology. Thank you for making this video, this method did work for us so well. Lord be praised.
We just have a rescued cat last June 2nd. Hubby rescued him from the street near his work place. it's raining that day and he had a hard time rescuing the kitty coz he's so aggressive. Don't know how months he is but he's not that small anymore but not too big.😄 1st day at home he's kinda scary cat, we can't go near him, so aggressive,or he's just afraid of the new environment he has, can't touch him coz everytime he sees our hand he tries to scratch and bites us foreal. But now, 2nd day at home, he likes to be pet.😊 A bit nervous/panic sometimes when there is a noise even just a bit of noise somewhere near him..😆 We'll try to do this steps, planning to bathe him today. Hope he won't get mad.😬😄 Thank you very much for the tips 🤗
My cat is still really young and this was my first time actually giving her a bath. The method of putting the water in a bucket and pouring it on her with a cup really helped, if I hadn't watched this I probably would have more scratches on me than I ended up with.
Usmc towel was the first thing i really noticed. It just rang inside of me because im an Army vet and respect that such a hardcore person as a us Marine is so careful with their kittens. It shows that even though youre a Marine. Youre a person and a good person for caring for your animals so gently. Alot of people think of marines as these big hard mean guys and really it just shows how awesome you are man. Bad ass enough to be a marine but gentle enough to bathe a kitten as calmly as that. Thats crazy skills 👍🏻 thanks for the tips too. Not running water next time i bathe my cat. Bucket and cup is so smart.
Yeah my cats were very scared in the beginning as well. I think in addition to using the method in the video. I also let them watch me shower every day. I thought if they saw the parent shower they might think it’s safe and water isn’t too bad after all! I think that helped with their anxiety
I should've watched this BEFORE I gave my cat a bath. She's vnever had one before and was COVERRED in soot. I wasn't scratched, she didn't really struggle too much, but I feel bad for her now🥺
I'm going to share this in the comments section of a few other videos having clips of people traumatizing their cats bathing them in hopes they will pay attention. I don't generally advise bathing unless there is a reason. My vet had me use flea combs regularly to remove any loose fur especially as they became elderly, to avoid excess ingestion of fur. Great video though.
I saw a cat in a outside cafe....I like it so I brought it home...its my first to have pets ...and I have to shower it after work...so I needed that video thanks
Hey Claire! Thanks for the kind words. I think sponge bathing is a good idea to prep them for the baths! I also made a follow up video on how to get your cat used to water. Sometimes some cats can be really scared of water and you need to ease them into it. Here is the video: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html I hope it helps!
I always put in a chair and put my cat or dog on top of the chair, this way they don't feel too overwhelmed or overpowered and get hostile, then I begin the shower process by lathering them up in pet shampoo and rinse with a cup. Always works.
Sir, you have done a very good job raising these cats. I, on the contrary, have done a horrible job! These baths should be easy when you have a calm, well behaved cat. Mine would scream at the top of his lungs throughout the whole thing like he is being abducted, try to scratch the soul out of me, keeps running in the bathroom and banging on the door with his paws, then when we're finished and he's out, he wouldn't speak to me for 3 days afterwards.
That was actually my cat in the beginning when I was not doing it right haha. I found this technique made them less stressed and I got them use to water as well in this video: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html I don't get scratched anymore Hope that helps!
This helped a lot! My kitten is a stray our neighbor who keeps them outside let’s us keep one of their kittens we chose her but she wasn’t trained at all we’re still training her to use the litter but shes needs a bath really badly so this helped a lot!
I found that putting my hand around the back of my cats neck/upper back and push down on her as she tries to jump out of the tub very easy now……not forcing my on her hard or hurting her!!!! It’s like pushing her body towards the ground but not really if I’m making sense 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I used to wear gloves while giving my kitten a shower in fear that she would bite or scratch me and it would end up taking us an hour in the washroom. Turns out she hates the gloves and now whenever I give her a shower without them it takes ~20 minutes. I used leather winter gloves but I found out that my sister would use them at night (God knows what she would do to her with them). When I found out that my sister was using my gloves, I switched to plastic disposable gloves but I think my kitten just associates the texture of anything touching her that is not our bare hand as a red flag.
My stepmother had a kitten that never learned to groom properly and the little devil liked to dive into her dirt pile after she was done sweeping, role around a bit then tare around the house dirtying it up again. It was a game he played every time she got the broom. If she got the dirt in the dust pan, he'd sit in that and refuse to move until she dumped him out. Lol, it was his way of screwing with mamma but it also meant he needed a bath almost daily since once again, he didn't groom himself. They found another home for him when they moved and couldn't take him with for various reasons. He's no doubt still up to his old tricks.
What was the bucket of water for? I use a hand held scalp scrubber that helps them because they feel they are getting brushed It really relaxes them. I bathe them in my large kitchen sink. They will not tolerate a hair drier either. I have 2 precious Ragdolls and a Himalayan. Himalayan’s hair is more silky & almost never forms matts. But Ragdolls have the sweetest personalities. I am subscribing. I love your videos! You are so patient.

Any suggestions on how to get your cat to stay calm during the nail trim? My mom and i both know how to do it properly, but she (the cat) acts as though she's being murdered when we make any attempt to trim the talons
Hey! So I usually try to associate nail trimming with a positive experience. It usually ends in their favorite treat and starts with a good massage to relax them. You can massage them near the neck and underneath the chin. That should calm them down a bit. Now in terms of the technique try to have the cats back towards you so its harder for them to scratch you. In terms of tools, get a good nail clipper that is sharp so cutting is quick and easy since that is all the time your kitty would give you haha. Doing it when they are sleepy will also help and they are less likely to be aggressive. Let me know if that helps!
Hey so I think the technique helped because he would use to scratch me. I also got them use to water. Here is the video how I did it: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html
My cat would kill me if I tried to give her a bath....maybe it depends on the breed...mine is a tortoiseshell 16 lb cat and she runs the show, not me LOL
They are absolutely beautiful and my daughter does the same trimming first before her five sphinx cats get their bath I under their head and believe that I like to have my little girl soak in her tub so that the dirt particles are loosened and away from the areas that’ll be cutting I feel like gives me less risk of her having an infection even though I’m not going to be cutting her a lot of debris does go up underneath her cuticles and I have to use a silicone toothbrush with her nail cleaner so basically she gets a manicure I guess but if you didn’t trim your cats nails before the bath it would be a bloodbath for you
Last month I gave my cat Smokey (who doesn’t like water and gets very dirty ALOT and doesn’t clean herself because she to chunky lol)and it was a WRECK!so I might give her a bath this month and hope it helps thx

This efficiently drys their coat.

just bathed her using this video! we started out in a deep sink with enough room for her to stand she HATED it and she escaped like 3 or 4 times by climbing up my shoulder and jumping off 😂 we then moved to the shower where i brought my cup and she was much more well behaved! and i only escaped with 1 scratch, great video!
I am glad the video was able to help you bathe your cat!
Followed this guide every step of the way like 5 minutes ago and that was hands-down the best shower routine we've had...thank you!
Sheri glad it helped you! :)
"How To Bathe A Cat" joke
I. A berserk cat can shred a three-ply rubber shower curtain quicker than a politician can shift positions.)
II.
They have little or no interest in fashion as a rule.)
IV.
(The national record for cats is three latherings, so don't expect too much.)
IV.
Hahaha love the the play by play story :)
You have to cut the nails to give him or her a bath
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tht was hilarious.. Specially the attire u suggested 🤣🤣🤣
What a funny suggestions!!! I almost collapsed to this comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣
your cats are so well behaved it is amazing ☺️
Thanks! A little bit of training and patience :)
Glad it worked! :D
Looks like you got your cats used to bathing and clipping. Great job! I'm scared lol.
My dog and cats watch me bathe and shower so good. That's one step lol

Hello Letty how are you doing today
Your cat is so calm! My kitten is so terrified of water, even the sound of a running tap scares her but I’m planning on bathing her soon. Thanks for these tips!
Hey so I made a follow up video on how I got them use to water: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html
Hope that helps as well!
@@TheCatButler will check it out, thanks
Glad the video helped!
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
thank you so much! with your video as a guide, I had succeed bathing my cat for the first time today! he moved around a little but not grumpy at all when I washed him. he’s a bit cranky as I towel-dried him, but with creamy treats and small portion of food as reward, we’re both happy!
I am glad the video helped!
I just bought a handheld showerhead, a long hose and water suppressor that allows to control water flow making it not loud and scary for cats. A much recommended solution. It also makes rinsing the bathtub easy after you clean it.
good tip!
Awesome video! My cat is 6 years old and has never had a bath before, and also DESPISES water. This gave me so me some good tips to keep somewhat calm, and if I die in the process thank you forthe enjoyable video. 😁😂
I am glad that the video helped!

Glad it worked out well :)
Thank you so much my cat had its first bath today and I came out scratch free ❤️😻😸
I am glad it worked :)
Perfect, this is truly the best and kindest way to bathe a cat, so many ppl get it wrong and try to immerse the cat in the bath and then wonder why it ends up a disaster! Well done. Subbed.
Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate the support :)
Hello Melissa how are you doing today
I struggle bathing my cats as they grow bigger and stronger. I usually bath them with warm water when they were small. Thanks for sharing. You encourage me to bathe them again
Thanks I am glad it helped!
How obedient she is ...so cute
Thanks for the kinds words!
What an adorable calm kitty 😢 she trusts you so much!
Just did this, did not go this easily but got a lot from this that I would’ve been screwed without knowing. Thx man
No worries I am glad it helped. Definitely requires patience! Sometimes it doesn’t work on the first time right away. My cats took probably about three times and this technique scared them the least
My cat loves water. He is an 18yr old Russian Blue. Always playing in the fountain.
I got lucky and have a Maine Coon! He's attracted to water and is so calm during them ( usually)! But yes, he's still a kitty and is done when he's done! 😸
Maine Coons are beautiful!
I have a maine coon she lives water under her terms but if I go near her to wash her she turns into saten 😈😼 😂😂
Just did this with my gf's and my cat. Worked so well. No scratching at all. He did try to escape, but he was so calm when I brought him back.
Glad the video helped!
Wait did you try it on your GF?
So glad I came across this video. We are new cat parents and rescued a kitty from a shelter and need to give him a bath. We would have done it all wrong without this video. Thank you!
I just washed my two kittens (3 and 6 months) using this awesome walkthrough! Thank you! Way easier than turning into hamburger arms!
Glad it worked :)
A good way to get cats to not be so angry during bathing is to start when they are young and reward them with treats afterward! (rewarding with treats for good behavior is how we got our cats to stop being so scratchy or squabbly during baths)
This was really informative and detailed, thank you! Your kitten is beautiful
Thank so much! I hope it helped

I did this method and my cat dad so good for me for her first time!! Thank you so much!!
I am glad it worked! Congratulations!
Such well mannered kitty you got. Just showered my kitty as he got dirty and poor boy he got scared, heartbeat racing and clinging onto my top.
Year:2024. Sir, I chided my husband that this would never work with feral kittens, I owe him and you an apology. Thank you for making this video, this method did work for us so well. Lord be praised.
Haha no worries! I posted this video so I can help others after I figured it out how to stop my cats from scratching me to death haha.

Bless your heart for taking in the ferals! 💜
I just bathed my cat and it was hard, but we managed! This was quite helpful
Glad it helped!
Recently adopted a 5yo cat. She hates water. Can't wait for the first bath lol
The first time usually is the hardest! definitely go slow
We just have a rescued cat last June 2nd. Hubby rescued him from the street near his work place. it's raining that day and he had a hard time rescuing the kitty coz he's so aggressive. Don't know how months he is but he's not that small anymore but not too big.😄
1st day at home he's kinda scary cat, we can't go near him, so aggressive,or he's just afraid of the new environment he has, can't touch him coz everytime he sees our hand he tries to scratch and bites us foreal. But now, 2nd day at home, he likes to be pet.😊
A bit nervous/panic sometimes when there is a noise even just a bit of noise somewhere near him..😆
We'll try to do this steps, planning to bathe him today. Hope he won't get mad.😬😄 Thank you very much for the tips 🤗
awww wish you luck!
This is the most thorough, adorable cat bath video ever!
Glad you think so Melissa!
When I wipe my cat with those pet clean wipes she acts like I’m murdering her 🙄
Yeah it does requires patience! Mine had to be slowly trained to be accepting of a shower
Thank you for the tips! My cat has an underlying smell of tobacco from her last home - so we are going to try to bathe her!
:)
Aw! So calm & well-behaved. About to give my kitty a bath now 😅
Wish you the best of luck!
just bathed my cat for the first time and this video helped out a lot, great work!
Glad it helped!
Yes people have a wrong impression of us marines sometimes haha. Wish you the best of luck with your kitty!
Your cat is sooooo calm during bath mine will never stay at one place keep trying to escape
I wasn't scratched, she didn't really struggle too much, but I feel bad for her now🥺
The cat's face looks so relaxed! 1:23
Your cat is so calm mine runs away with first splash of water
OMG Your cat is an angel!!!!!
Oh my God, thank you! Do you think sponge bathing a cat is decent way to start prepping them for actual baths?
Hey Claire! Thanks for the kind words. I think sponge bathing is a good idea to prep them for the baths! I also made a follow up video on how to get your cat used to water. @@linuswang6572 Trust me, I have since learned from Jackson Galaxy to not do this. I just forgot this comment existed.
What a bath friendly cat 🥺🥲
Semi worked on my cat. Didn't get clawed, and i cleaned a majority of the issue, im calling that a win! Thankfully as is she can handle the rest
That is awesome! I am glad you didn't get hurt!
I always put in a chair and put my cat or dog on top of the chair, this way they don't feel too overwhelmed or overpowered and get hostile, then I begin the shower process by lathering them up in pet shampoo and rinse with a cup. Always works.
Ah that is a good tip!
THANK YOU for such a wonderful video! So detailed and well thought out. I was able to survive giving my cats a bath.
I am glad the video helped!
At 1:08 when he said "step 1 is to trim your cat's nails" -- I cannot stress that enough. My cat would saw me in half!
YES! You want to disarm your cat from its weapons before attempting death haha
Your Cat is so relaxed. MINE GETS CRAZY
I found this technique made them less stressed and I got them use to water as well in this video: ruclips.net/video/tcaJgnAm6pk/видео.html
I don't get scratched anymore
Hope that helps!
This helped a lot! My kitten is a stray our neighbor who keeps them outside let’s us keep one of their kittens we chose her but she wasn’t trained at all we’re still training her to use the litter but shes needs a bath really badly so this helped a lot!
I am glad the video helped. And you are angel taking care of that kitten :)
Cool ! Merci !!! You have probably just saved several human lives😊☺️😉🙃😇

That is good advice! Thanks for sharing :)
Bathing my cat is like war, so thank you so much this video helped me a lot. 😄
I am glad it helped :)
These cats are so calm, let's hope my cat will as calm when I give him a bath! Thank you or this video!

Thank you for your kind words!
Thanks for your video, I so appreciate your tips, next bath for my Rico should be a better experience. Your cats are adorable 😊
Helen thank you!
What was the bucket of water for?
I use a hand held scalp scrubber that helps them because they feel they are getting brushed
It really relaxes them.

I always trim my cat’s nails when she is sleeping .. she has never resisted me
thanks for the tutorial! my cat is very old and has a hard time grooming herself so this is very helpful!

They are absolutely beautiful and my daughter does the same trimming first before her five sphinx cats get their bath I under their head and believe that I like to have my little girl soak in her tub so that the dirt particles are loosened and away from the areas that’ll be cutting I feel like gives me less risk of her having an infection even though I’m not going to be cutting her a lot of debris does go up underneath her cuticles and I have to use a silicone toothbrush with her nail cleaner so basically she gets a manicure I guess but if you didn’t trim your cats nails before the bath it would be a bloodbath for you
My cat scratched me up so good, but this video helped
