Why all trucks dont have factory bed liner is beyond me
Exactly!!!! I used to make bed liners and they aren’t that expensive!!
Yup went to go look at them at the dealer a couple weeks ago and 90% of them don’t have them. All the ones that were optioned the way I wanted didn’t have the bedliner. Now they’re offering to pay to put one in if I come and take the truck 😂
Because they look like s***I'll take a painted bed with a nice rubber mat all day that's just my opinion I guess I'm weird cuz I like halogen and hate led
@@charliejenkerson8738 even that is better than just painted. I wouldn't mind that either. Halogen isnt bad if you swap it out for LED inside of the projector housing. It doesnt blind you like full on led does with trucks nowadays
I think the color looks good i had a similar color on my 2016 LT . I think almost every color looks good on the trail boss except the black because you don’t get the full effect of the black accents. I went with the glacier blue.
Very good looking truck especially with the center cap on the hood but 66k is a bit much when it’s missing creature comforts like the surround vision camera system, ventilated seats, blind spot monitoring, and a spray in bed liner.
I just got my 2024 Silverado LT Trail Boss Z71 Duramax, coming from a 2017 Rebel. I have about 250 miles on it now, mostly city at the moment and averaging almost 24. The Drive Summary is showing me an average of 26-30mpg in my highway drives. Really awesome. Such a smooth truck. Can't wait to take it camping and see how it does on some back country offroading
What about DEF ? How many miles do you get on a full tank ? Thats my only concern. If you can please answer i would definitely appreciate the response
Get yourself the duramax in the trim you prefer, at4, trail boss, zr2 whatever, you won’t regret it.
I have the 2023 trail boss with the durmax in radient red with a wrapped roof , sexy truck
Great looking truck. The 3.0 is my favorite light duty engine. Thank you for the review.
I have the 2020 Trail Boss with the 6.2. Mine is all black. I do like the bronze paint color with the black accents. Price is not as bad as I thought it would be. They could have installed factory spray in bed liner. Other than that, I like it.
The TrailBoss is mostly about status, in my opinion. You're paying a premium for just slightly more capability that most people aren't going to utilize anyway. For my money, the trim I'd buy is the RST Z71 double cab with the 3.0 duramax. It's a decent price and has more than enough toff road chops for me, and it looks amazing with the black badges/exhaust. Also, it's a bit lighter spec which means better payload, and that's the most important thing to me.
Hey I have started shopping and this is where I have been starting to lean. A nicer suspension is honestly what many people are after with the ability to drive through a muddy gravel road.
I have the RST Z71 2023 model with the Duramax and the leather package. I love it.. I'm thinking of adding a 2 inch lift.. but still on the fence.
Love how this truck is optioned.
I have this same truck (Night Sky Blue) and am getting 24.5 in the city and 31.5 on the highway. If I "grandpa it", it will do better. Have seen the computer indicate 35 on flat terrain highway @ 60 MPH. It is a fantastic engine.
Love the color and the blacked-out accents. I'll take mine with the 6.2 please!
I'm not sure about the color but I love the truck. I'm in love with the metallic silver
Love this spec with the harvest bronze metallic, LT Trail Boss trim, and Dmax. Very very nice. It’s kind of bonkers to realize that the 3L Dmax is available in the ZR2 now.
The chrome exhaust tips should have been blacked out too
That's a awesome color
I have white Trailboss with LZO, amazing powertrain!! And you could get this with 6.5ft long box too unlike the ZR2.
Trail Boss is the trim to get if you want to replace upper control arms.
Love the color
All that with no skid plate on the fuel tank, the same tank and pump that is on back order from GM, fucking genius.
Nice ! I got the 2022 with the Z71 package but I have a different camera set up because it shows the front of the truck when parking etc I can’t explain it but it’s cool . 👍🏾
I bought a trailboss. It spent 54 days sitting at the dealership because of a transfer case module that failed. Now whenever the truck changes gears, I fear it will fail again.
I have duramax rst z71 with factory lift
You will never be able to get the max trailering package in combination with any trim that comes with a lift. They are mutually exclusive. I believe the Trail Boss is a 1” or 2” lift over the standard ride height.
Cartoonish prices. May it sit on that lot until it rots.
Angry much??
Auto stop/start in a diesel?
Cadillac messed up putting the Xt6 on the same platform as the XT5. They should have put it on the rwd CT6 platform.
I’m intrigued! And..shocked that Chevy isn’t pushing 80k on this, which is legit. This truck shouldn’t be more than the current 62k msrp. I think this will be my next purchase.
Im waiting for the LTZ trailboss to come out😬
JB did it first lol just saying!!!!
How many cylinders have it?
Not one of these trucks will see more off-roading than a pothole-covered road
Would an RST Z71 with a 2 inch life be equal to this truck?
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Z71 Trail Boss 3.0L Duramax Diesel 10-Speed Automatic Crew Cab 4X4!
....goes to lift tailgate......"Make sure you do biceps curls, and it will be easy." LMFAO!!!! For real, bro. 🤣
I prefer a blue color. to match my eyes.
those chrome exhaust tips need to be blacked out
I see you’ve been watching the hodge twins “action “
had one for a month. Loved the MPGs but that was about it. terrible ride, terribly uncomfortable. seats were so bad. same seats you get in base model chevy:( super weak UCAs. good looking truck but fell very short for me.
i ordered one 2 months ago, guess its going to be a 2024...but problem is the Custom didn't have the functional features i wanted like heated seats, dual climate...i live in MN. Or the 110v outlets, which are super handy when camping, or when i am picking up a motorcycle or car or something and need to pump up a tire...it had the bench seat which i needed though...but, the LT jumps you up with all kinds of useless stuff like digital dash and bose speakers, and on and on...and in 2024 it looks like the base price of the Trail Boss has jumped up quite a bit with alot more of those useless features being standard....like i was already at the very edge of my budget...so now i am worried...and its just frustrating to see what seems like such a huge gap in trim levels between the Custom and the LT, and that i have to pay 65,000 for a truck and it isn't even what i want cause i gotta have that useless console with the annoying shifter..and i got all these things i don't want, but like functional practical things like bedliner is extra...so now what should be an exciting time getting a new vehicle is just annoying cause i am not really getting what i need in a truck at a price that is going to be financially stressful.
I ordered a tundra with the off-road package… insanely good value for what you get. Worth looking into… that is if you can get out of your order without losing a grand….
Yep I'm not sure why they use the Badge named Custom when nothing custom about it. They should call the custom STOCK cause you can't get so many normal comfort feature so need to go to the LT
@pewpewtactical5288 nothing compares to the 3.0 baby diesel for Torque and Fuel mileage. That's why everyone goes with Chevy or GMC is for this engine
@@pewpewtactical5288 but the new tundra is so god awful ugly. they took the worst body line of the silverado in that drooping fenderline, they stole paul tuttle sr.'s facial hair, they took the worst grill Ford has had in 15 years with the tombstone grill, its just a mashup of all the bad things other companies have done. whomever styled it, green lit the styling, they all should be removed from those roles. also from what i saw Toyotas cost more per given trim level.
plus with the efficiency of the the 3.0 or even the ford ecoboost 3.5 even if the purchase price of the tundra is less, if you own over 5 years or so it comes out cheaper to get one of those 2...the duramax being cheaper to buy.
I just picked one up 8k under MSRP yesterday
For 66k, I want a second blind spot mirror…. How cheap are they to only give you one. Just from an aesthetic standpoint, it would just look better. Love the truck but for that simple reason, I couldn’t buy one.
What is Duramax and what does it do to improve the truck.
Duramax is a diesel engine. In the 1500, it's available in the 3.0L in line 6 cylinder turbo . In the 2500, it's a 6.6L 8 cylinder. Great mileage and torque.
Gives you almost 500 foot pounds torque and on highway most people get 30-35mpg and even towing gets 16-20 while every other brand would get 8-11mpg towing
All the chicks dig it. As soon as they hear it, they will all turn and sprint toward your truck while taking their clothes off.
Nah. I don’t think they let you pair any z71 with a max trailering package.
Sad
Lifted suspensions (even from the factory) always reduce the trailering capability of a truck. Lift and trailering rating are inversely proportional.
They put the horrible annoying stop/start on the diesels as well? Cheap Fisher Price knobs on the interior. No thanks
If it was a standard bed I’d be all over it
It drives me insane that people are buying these as glorified grocery getters and the bed won’t see an actual payload for its entire life. Because of this, dealers won’t even stock crew cab standard bed. I’m with you, a 5 foot bed is useless.
I ordered a Trail boss Custom, 3.0 duramax with the standard 6-1/2" bed. a bit more money. The short beds are worhless. This truck will have everything I need. 58K. Obviously I ordered it (about 4-6 months to come in).
@@michaelrihel9584 finally someone who gets how useless short beds are. Honestly, even going down to a 6.5 bed vs an 8 feels like a major compromise
@@BabyGatorsyou can get an LT Trail Boss with a crew cab and standard bed.
@@RB-xv4si you can get them, but find a dealer that stocks them
Not a penny over 55k
What does that mean lol? A custom Trailboss with the 5.3L cost that or a little more.
$66K for half ton US made vehicle, NO thanks!
Too much chrome for a woods truck...
If only GM didn’t make this
