Johnny Hartman has to be the most underrated male singer ever. I love his work. His album with Coltrane is a masterpiece. Yet most have never even heard of him outside of the educated jazz community. They don't know what they are missing. I put him up with Nat Cole and Mel Torme as my favorites.
+Ewerb7, Amen to dat! I'm surprised that more people don't know about him. I've loved his smooth crooning voice all my life-and that's a long time. I guess my folks did something right, huh? LOL! Sittin' here groovin to the music. WOW!

Very underrated singer! Great voice; great version of Summertime. Thank you.
What a voice!
Best version.
One of the best versions ever ❤️🇫🇮
Love this song. Don't even know how I stumbled on it years and years ago.
Me too. You probably already know that "Summertime" was the opening lullaby in George and Ira Gershwin's light opera, "Porgy and Bess."
Fabulous voice!
¡Maravilloso!
so intense
