Fun fact: one of the competitors in the 2018 Euro NASCAR season was former cyclist Tom Boonen, a Belgian rider who during his career won Paris-Roubaix four times, was the World Road Race champion in 2005 and won six stages of the Tour de France, alongside many other accomplishments. He competed in the Elite 2 category and finished the season in 13th, finishing all but one race with a best result of 10th, which he achieved twice.

A small curiosity: Nascar Brasil CEO Thiago Marques said that the negotiations for a rebranding with Nascar was under negotiations since 2021, and then Nascar crew went to Brasil to know more about the car and the Championship and decided that the series was getting under the Nascar brand and keep the car the way it was, liking it enough to not needing to change for a European or mexican style. I really Hope over the years nascar brasil become the main International Nascar series.

Few things you kinda missed about EuroNASCAR, as I would like to call it that :
    - Some if not most of the cars (not drivers) in the field are doing double duties in EN PRO and EN2 as teams cannot afford to operate two separate cars for both classes, so as long as the cars not bent very much they can be used straight away with fixes allowed between both classes' races in the same day (EDIT : It has also been confirmed that the "single car for both classes" thing are a way to cut costs to help maintain the healthy grid, which is highly encouraged by the series).
    - 2019 marked the last time the series had an oval round, which was held at Raceway Venray in Netherlands (which was also the only the 2nd time the track hosted EuroNASCAR, the first one was in 2017). Previously after the NASCAR partnership has been completed the series had at least one oval race every year at Tours Speedway in France which was a makeshift oval built on a supermarket parking lot. They planned to return to Venray but 2020 happened and the series never had any oval races since to this day to the disappointment of long time fans (they actually attempted to have a non-championship race on ice this year but it's subsequently cancelled)
EDIT : Talks have been ongoing for the series to return to Venray as soon as 2024, so fingers crossed it will happen soon.

9:03 minor correction: Garcia won his 4th title last year, becoming the driver with the most titles in the series history
Another fun fact about NASCAR Mexico Series: they actually have a time limit for their races (100 minutes); if a race seems to not reach the scheduled amount of laps before the 100 minute mark, they will finish the race by time rather than by laps

Ayyy great to see the attention towards Pinty's! I haven't had as much time to cover the series this year as I did last year, so it's great to see it being discussed by others!
It truly does deserve more and it's been getting steadily better and better every year. Higher car counts, more races, etc. Things that the series lacked for a while after the NASCAR purchase.
With a new NASCAR Canada GM in Tony Spiteri (hired October 2022), he's done wonders for us thus far. He's been part of Canadian motorsports for decades and he helped bring Pinty's into the series.
Built off a successful 2022 season with an even better one this year. A record 14-race schedule, gave Ohsweken (dirt) a double-header, kept the series in Newfoundland, etc. Although Treyten Lapcevich has dominated, there's been many storylines throughout the field and every race has been a case of "too much to talk about."
Put "even better" in all caps for 2024. There's been many rumors of more full-time commitments and a larger schedule (a return to a former oval and an additional dirt track).
Exciting times up here in Canada!
