NASCAR may not care as much as they should, I think MSG paid a lot of money for the exclusive rights to Indy, NASCAR, the 24 Hrs of LeMans/FIA Endurance, and BTCC,. But they keep falling short on their promises, they haven't even made games for Indy or BTCC yet so NASCAR might start trying to get out of the contract the second the checks stop getting cashed

It amazes me that this goddamn company hasn’t gone out of business, with approximately 37 million dollars in net losses last year, their entire board of directors resigned, they’ve spent a shit ton of money on licenses that they haven’t performed on, and the fans don’t even want to by whatever the hell their clusterfucks of games are

I’m tempted to make a joke like ‘the only reason that MSG was chosen to develop nascar games in the first place, is because EA Sports was too successful to care anymore,” but I won’t.
The fact that it’s arguably been 20 years since we actually got a good console game for NASCAR where you don’t have to make mods to games like forza or gran turismo to enjoy yourself on your Xbox or ps4 is quite frankly ridiculous and blasphemous. This not only hurts the gaming world, let alone our sport, but it’s downright insulting to us as fans. This needs to change. Hopefully, some other gaming company can make us a better game worthy of our time and skill to enjoy in the near future. I know Michael Mrucz would enjoy that.

I’m embarrassed to say that this is the first time that I’ve actually learned my lesson. I did not buy this DLC. It took a long time but I’ve finally learned😂
They had more than half a year to make a good season update and they’ve been beaten out by a bunch of modders. Rusty, find a way out as soon as you can.

I haven't bought an nascar game since NH4, wanted to get NH5 but I couldn't justify the price for the exact same game as NH4. I've been playing nr2003, and nt2004, but man I crave for another nascar game. If there's no game next year then I wouldn't of paid a single dollar to a nascar video game since 2019 lol.
@@RazorSharp75426 that would be the ideal scenario, but it's probably easier to just copy-paste the old game, update some skins and names, maybe some models and tracks, maybe add a new GUI, and charge $70 for a "new game" rather than sell it as DLC for a base game that players won't be willing to pay as much for.
The criticisms for Motorsports Games are universal for the entire gaming industry at this point. Every game publisher in current year is shit. Every game is broken at release, then you have to pay for DLC to fix it or rely on mods. Stop giving them your money, or at least get a refund when they under deliver on promises.

Simple. Brian France invests in Motorsport Games. That’s how the stupid company is able to stay afloat. Motorsport Network the parent company was sold and purchased but didn’t include Motorsport games because I don’t blame the buyers for not grabbing that either since MSG is in so much debt
It didn’t work for like a week and even when I got it to work, now whenever I exit a race or try to change the settings, the entire game crashes and I have to restart my Xbox. Tough scene
To me what's crazy is they released a update 8 months late which they had enough time to sit there and get all the licensing to use to release every paint scheme that all the drivers use that year while also updating and upgrading the truck series and Xfinity series to active rosters and should have a team that's currently working on a 2023 roster for all three series is as well since we are not to receive a NASCAR game until possibly 2024
EA may not be perfect, especially by modern day standards, but I think they would do a much better job at a NASCAR title than MSGM has. NASCAR 08 and 09 may not be perfect themselves, but they stand up on their own much better than any NASCAR Heat game has ever done
People REALLY need to just drop it already with EA. I don't get why so many act like they're gonna be our "saviors" that will make NASCAR gaming great again, blatantly ignoring the amount of shit that they're constantly getting into. Are they forgetting that EA has been repeatedly rated as one of the worst companies in America?

They can either go down their current 'Live Service' route that other games have done (I believe their Star Wars games have fallen into that category), or release the full game with a shit ton of micro-transactions. I doubt they'll go back down the loot box route, but don't quote me on that
I am not saying EA is perfect; in fact, they need to be called out on their controversial stupidity. But it's uallhard to ignore that fact that, if they wanted to, they could go back to the way they use to do things and make real, quality games again

When EA took over F1 they took away classic cars, added stuff no one wanted like clothes and furniture, made the cars undrivable without assist, made the AI terrible, and now with the new game they think if they conveniently fix the last two problems (which weren’t a thing prior to them taking over) and improve the graphics everyone will love it. Yes they would be an improvement over MSG, but it would create whole new problems.

I didnt buy the update. I figured the important content creators like WhatIF, Radman, Mrucz and others would buy it and stream it and Id get my info through them. Im not at all shocked that they actually made the game WORSE with the update. If Motorsport Games made another update for free, I would still think it was too much to spend because it would be a waste of my valuable time to play.

Im so disappointed in the nascar community. The fact that people actually brought the DLC and proceed to say that its not bad is absolutely insane. This is why things wont ever change for the better when it comes to not just nascar games but gaming in general. People settle for mediocrity nowadays. These people that brought the DLC are the same people that complain about the games being complete ass but yet you give these guys at motorsportsgames your money....that doesn't make sense at ALL! Stop settling for mediocrity. We deserve way better than what we getting currently.

For me, the phrase "it's not that bad" is based on the needs of the individual. Say you don't have a lot of time on your hands and have other things you need/want to do outside of NASCAR games, maybe they are willing to deal with it.

That's because people are getting lazier as seconds tick away, so they are settling for mediocrity. It's not just in gaming but also in society. People are more willing to use shortcuts to success than having to actually fight for it and change for the better.
Up until 2 decades ago people are striving for nothing less than perfection , the biggest reason why even games from 2 decades ago still holds dear to people. Now the "it'll buff out" kind of mentality has lowered and emasculated the mindset of the people and made them lazy. Indirectly to making games, it made people in the industry thinks it's ok to rush the game and even release the unfinished product. Then consistently building and releasing DLCs to make up the unfinished game.
It's like if you had a homework given in thursday by your school or your tutor that you had to finish by next monday and you just started it in the night before monday. Then you hurry to finish the homework at school even past the time of submission. Tbh it's kinda lame to use school homeworks as an analogy but that's what it's like.

NR2003 now has apps for stage racing, double-file restarts after cautions and you can create your own scoring system. Plus you can download it for free! Why would you want to play any Motorsport game?!?!

I was playing NASCAR 08 on PS2 last night. I had a fun time. A 15 YEAR OLD GAME!!!!!
Exactly I still play 05 Chase for the cup on PS2 because it has atrophied woman I love the trophy room the trophy room for the cup trophies has pretty accurate for that point in time and it's awesome. I also love the career mode in 05 Chase for the cup because it's progressive, it's changing the year every single year it starts in 04 and then goes to 05 and so on it's a 20-year career.
This is why I will stick with NR2003.

Motorsport Games is emblematic of the entire industry at this point… and tbh the rest of the industries. Corporations are getting record profits while we pay top dollar for worse products, smaller portions, and empty promises, and the CEOs laugh at us while diving into swimming pools of gold like Scrooge McDuck and telling us to blame ourselves for not managing the crumbs we’re given. Don’t blame nascar fans for this, blame corporate America and short term shareholder culture.
Also frankly, nascar, IndyCar, BTCC, and WEC/ACO are downright negligent for continuing to put all their eggs in the MSG basket.
I am dying to hear a comment from NASCAR marketing on this. Unfortunately, I was one of those fools, but I am currently trying to get a refund, steams just being a pain because I played regular heat 5 with the inaccessible dlc installed.
I'm making my own simulator, by myself, with no pay, and am making sure that everything that I implement is working as intended. And so far, everything is working as intended even though I've been working for a couple of months now on it and just have the results of a WIP mesh generator for spline-based tracks to show for it. So how can a multi-million-dollar studio with many employees getting paid to make a single game result in such terrible products?

I’m in a Heat 5 group on Facebook and the amount of grown ass adults who bought this dog shit is absurd. Then they reenact the surprise Pikachu meme when it doesn’t come out on time, it bricks Xbox consoles temporarily, scheme’s get deleted permanently, and everything else mentioned in the video. It just shows you who wasn’t taught object permanence as a child.

I had faith in MSG for a while, even after Ignition got originally released. That good will is long gone. This company is cancerous (sorry to use that word, but that's exactly what they are) to gaming and motorsport as a whole, and every day that passes without it going out of business is a day lost in the racing game world.
And the worst part is that it's not only a NASCAR problem. They somehow made the state of IndyCar gaming somehow even worse (keep in mind, the last proper officially licensed IndyCar game came out in 2005 and even then it's worse now), not only "delaying" an official console game that, let's be honest, will come out in an Ignition-type state if it even comes out; but also took away IndyCar series from iRacing and made a joke out of the virtual 24 hours of Le Mans, and even if it's from a subsidiary studio their WEC game might end up being the same.
The only thing I'm thankful for is that those dorks didn't get the F1 license (which they probably tried tbf), cause if they do that there's a shot officially licensed racing videogames die bc of how much of a scam this company is, as well as their constant input to hamper any other gaming product related to the series they have the license to.
And Stephen Hood somehow thought it was a good idea to be involved with these people...
How are they gonna acquire all these licenses, then put out broken DLC for a game that was made by a better studio, not to mention they're initial title release has DLC and is STILL unplayable.
We were to hard on Monster games. Heats 1 and 2 werent great, but they went through character development, H4 and 5 are honestly some of the best NASCAR games in recent years, not to mention SRX the Game and the WOO game are pretty dang great.
I haven't bought a nascar game since 2016 with heat evolution and haven't really played any nascar games besides I guess forza and NR2003. Glad I didn’t waste money on this company

Downloading a ten year old game with some mods being a superior choice to a contemporary game with an active development staff is hilarious to me. Plus the network latency and lobbies are less of a pain in Assetto Corsa as well.
The faster Motorsport games goes bankrupt the better it is for the Motorsports community and motorsports videogames. The fact that they have gotten so many of the licenses from various different motorsports (IndyCar, NASCAR, 24hrs of LeMans, BTCC..) is an absolute travesty and just goes to show how out of touch the people making these decisions are, as well as their complete lack of meaningful due diligence when entering into these agreements.
When I saw people actually buying the DLC I'm like "You guys hate this company, right? We know the DLC breaks the game, right? Why are you giving this company you supposedly hate more money?"

Motorsport Games even still having the license is one of society’s greatest mysteries. How the fuck do they still have the Nascar license? It just shows that Nascar is willing to throw the license at anyone. I’ll take EA over MSG, because at least if EA makes it. The game would be playable.

When I got NASCAR Heat Evolution, I was massively upset on how SHIT it was. I almost swore to not by the next game and even considering not buying for at least 2 or so years. However, after a bit, I bought Heat 2 and was fairly okay with it, but not really impressed by it. I skipped 3 so I could see what 4 brings to the table. Heat 4 is now the last DECENT NASCAR game in my eyes. Sure, Heat 5 was okay at the start but with this clown show going on, they got an uphill battle for 21 Ignition. Needless to say, they shit the bed so hard, even EA was cringing in disgust. When you make Madden 23 look playable in comparison, you fuck up royally. I am glad I didn't buy NASCAR 21 Ignition because of the negative review.
I gladly went back to NASCAR Heat 4 and 5 while also playing more of NR2003. Motorsports Games is a cancer, and what do you do with cancer? YOU CUT IT OUT! Until NASCAR get their act together and sue them to the fucking ground, they lost me as a customer. They need a miracle run to regain my trust, which is doubtful considering how much of a clownshow they have become. I would rather play NBA 2K23 on my PS5 as that had a ton of content potential. Hell, I would rather play Madden 20 on my PC! Motorsports Games is basically Days of Our Steelers...nothing more than a clownshow.

I bought it ignoring the negatives (huge mistake) I did the same with ignition (big mistake) well, it turns out that I can’t play ANY GAME on steam, I legit got a new browser and it’s still broken. Unbelievable, them and Lionel should get a reward for the company that cares the least about their fans
You just made my whole point from the comment that I left on radmans channel regarding this game. I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would waste there time even watching these videos because all they do is give them free publicity. They aren’t worth that. There’s a reason why I only watch the gameplays from the thunder games or chase for the cup. I could give two craps about the current games because the current games suck. The last good Nascar game came out in 2006.
From my experience, the one way to get the developers (and NASCAR's) attention is leave a NEGATIVE REVIEW wherever you can. Petitions are meaningless. Bitching on Twitter is meaningless. Attacking their point of sale with a big red NEGATIVE next to the game and DLC, that makes noise. Do what you can!

I honestly don't even remember how I ended up with Heat 5. At this point, I played it once, did a bit of a race, realized it was basically Heat 4 with things taken out instead of added in, uninstalled it and never played it again...

Downloadable content...it's like buying extra stuff for a game, often content that waa cut to meet the deadline sooner.
@polycube868 also games can last alot longer. You can beat the game or get sick of a game and down the line the creators of the game will release extra content that's usually not free. Games can cost a ton more money now.

I’d love to see Nascar games have a real off season where drivers switch teams, you can start up your own with little and work up. Be an owner driver. And graphics that have me blown into thinking am I out there?

Take a look at the wwe games. Tyler breeze and Xavier woods do the battle of the brands. Last year they wanted soooo many improvements into the next game. Guess what, they got those improvements. We need a driver or multiple drivers to take a step up and say something.

@@Denverbroncos87 I think the real off season will be hard to have, wanting or not teams and sponsors will go against it. The drivers are attached to their name/brand too.
But regarding anything in this front, there is a need for a major figure to step up, no one can do it better than Jr. We need opinions, help on the development, among other stuff.
If he steps up, he need to act like the late John Madden acted when EA first developed Madden NFL (at the time John Madden Football).
The career mode schedule on the 22 dlc is flat wrong

when the game was about to come out, i was so excited because the graphics looks so realistic in the trailers they were releasing. but like i do with every game, i wait until it’s released and watch others peoples reviews on the game so i don’t waste my money. In my opinion this game was the biggest bust in gaming history. They hyped this thing up so much just for a game made in 2003 to be better than it. It’s so disappointing. I just want a good realistic nascar game.
It's not about the cost, it is about where that money is going. 10 bucks is nothing for an adult with to throw at only for it to be a lemon, but at some point there needs to be some stance to get better products for what you spend, even a little amount such as this.
LOL! Didn't pay for the DLC, but after the update came out I did go for a short race in the original content, at least that still worked for me. But ironically right around the same time of this, KartKraft servers had a 48+ hour downtime, and that game becomes 100% unplayable (can't even load to the main menu, stuck on loading screen) when the servers are down (yay always online requirements). Motorsport Games has done nothing to help the KartKraft devs improve that product, and forced them to rush the release so they can work on the IndyCar game, which I still doubt will ever release (or will be worth a purchase anyway).

I could've lived with the game but after an entire season on 50% doing a couple races here and there I was so disappointed that I couldn't drive next gen in career mode in the next season
