I have a 2014 Expedition Sport with 8000 km on it and I don't think you could have picked a better sled for you needs. The slow speed performance of that drivetrain is unmatched. The 600 ACE itself is clean, quiet, efficient and low maintenance. It has hydraulic lifters so no valve adjustments and goes 6000 km between oil changes (2.2 L oil capacity). The only thing I wish they would offer in the Sport line is the option to opt out of the throttle by wire setup. My sled was the last year for the throttle cable setup and I much prefer it over drive by wire.
Nice to see a slow rider putting thru the woods. How many acres?I have 85 acres in northeast ontario and am looking at tundra,Skandic's now,to do exactly this, maintain, cut wood and slow pokey rides. You really have those trails cut clean.Dream property.
I enjoy it. The wife and I live on 120 in northern Wisconsin. This sled is an excellent choice for what you are looking to do. I’m not sure that there is a better sled for these tasks that doesn’t have a hi/lo transmission. I think a guy could really appreciate a skandic or expedition for that reason, but with some additional cost. I’m really happy with the money I spent on the tundra with the four stroke. I find myself with the hand saw on those trails often ;) it’s nice to be able to take a sled to trim them during the winter and not deal with overheating when the snow is low...
I got the same thing but in 600 efi,,,, long track,,,, was mainly using it for hunting this past spring, it was awesome in the snow and slush,,, its pretty tippy tho but otherwise i love that machine,,, im kinda tempted to get one more machine but with the Ace engine, it seems super quiet
It is very quiet and smooth. Overall I really like this machine. I was interested in getting a chance to see how a two stroke matched up to the ace with this model.
The larger brown dog is a five year old male Mal, the smaller darker dog is a two year old female GSD. I bet I’ll end up putting at least half of the miles running dogs on this machine ;)
Yes, it is tippy compared to a trail width sled. But in the firmer snow or on hard pack it is plenty stable. The 16” wide track does add some stability to make up for the narrow front. It is certainly geared towards off trail or primitive trail use.
I know that the 600 efi’s are open like that but all of the aces I’ve seen look like mine. I’m not sure why they didn’t put the efi hood on the ace but I would assume it runs cooler due to things inherent to it being a 4 stroke.
I was satisfied with what I saw on it. Snow went out fast this year. Engine doesn’t get hot in the warm. Saw decent traction with the long track. Clutch stays firmly engaged.
Turns out not that fast, about 55mph is all she has. Makes a great utility/hunting/fishing/breaking fresh trail through the woods sled. Does not make a great groomed trail riding sled.
Really appreciate you watching!! Check out some of the other videos on the channel and let me know what you think! What do you guys want to see next??
I have a 2018 Ski doo Tundra LT 600 Ace. Goes anywhere I want to go no matter how much snow. Gas mileage is insane!

6mph is my go to speed on my 21 600 ace tundra also. What a pleasure.
Pro trick: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Tristan Mateo Definitely, have been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
@Tristan Mateo yup, I've been using instaflixxer for since november myself :D
I have the same thing in a 2012 with over 10k miles, 1 battery and 2 belts, that's it.
I have a 2011 Ace with 8000 trouble free miles on it. Love it.
Thanks for the informative video. Thinking about moving to one of these due to my riding choices lately. Enjoy the rest of the winter!
Just ordered a 2023 Tuesday. Lt with the 600 ace. Rode a 2012 and fell in love for boondocking.
It’s a very good sled for that!!
the big fella is setting the pace...lol

Great video !!!! answering just what i was wondering !!! Great info !!
Great video, very informative!
Glad you liked it!
The dogs dig it!
Love the looks of this sled, just afraid it would be tippy on the trails
It is on the tippy side if you’re accustomed to sleds with mid 40 inch trail width front ends...
they sell kits to make them 2 inches wider on each side..
I’ve got the 2 stroke, but that’s a sweet motor.
Nice I have 600ace and the 600efi 2021 😃

@@jplotkin3380 More horse power apparently on the efi and less fuel efficient,,,,,, but its all good,,
U should post more vids on that sweet sled. Still debating on witch motor to get.
Ace it’s a four stroke I think
Can’t help but ask is one of or both your dogs Malinois I got a tundra 550f I used to use for ice fishing but now it’s mainly used for running my dogs
The larger brown dog is a five year old male Mal, the smaller darker dog is a two year old female GSD. I bet I’ll end up putting at least half of the miles running dogs on this machine ;)
I want to test one to see if its a good reindeer herder snowmobile in norway is it cheap on gas?
It’s supposed to be... we still don’t have much of any snow, only 25miles on it so far...
So it is liquid cooled but also fan. I’m looking for an ice fishing sled on just ice not much snow and warmer temps
Yep, it’s liquid cooled and has an electric fan if it starts getting hot, works great
With being short distance between skis, is it tippy?
Yes, it is tippy compared to a trail width sled. But in the firmer snow or on hard pack it is plenty stable. The 16” wide track does add some stability to make up for the narrow front. It is certainly geared towards off trail or primitive trail use.
Thanks for the super formative vid hows the sled holding up a year later
It’s holding up good, no issues at all. I’ve got the footage to do a one year review, just got to put it all together, hopefully will be out soon
Are you sure that’s the right hood on the sled I’m pretty sure the 600 ace has the aux rad in the front and the rad is open to the cold air..
I know that the 600 efi’s are open like that but all of the aces I’ve seen look like mine. I’m not sure why they didn’t put the efi hood on the ace but I would assume it runs cooler due to things inherent to it being a 4 stroke.
Did tho attachments come stock or did you have to ask for them your self ?
The windshield is aftermarket, the rest of the sled is stock.
How does that machine do in slush and wet conditions with a load on it?
I was satisfied with what I saw on it. Snow went out fast this year. Engine doesn’t get hot in the warm. Saw decent traction with the long track. Clutch stays firmly engaged.
@@jplotkin3380 Thankyou for the response. Looking at getting one of these to set up for ice fishing . Seems like a capable machine for the job.
Your dog is having a crap @ 0:25
Ha! Keen eye
think i may get one my self , how fast will it go?
Turns out not that fast, about 55mph is all she has. Makes a great utility/hunting/fishing/breaking fresh trail through the woods sled. Does not make a great groomed trail riding sled.
