We’ve got a Grand Touring 600ace for our kids. Perfect sled to learn on and plenty of power for kids learning to trail ride. Not great off trail where more power would be nice.
Congrats on the Skandic 900ace, that engine is a perfect step up from the 600ace! My neighbour has the Tundra with the 600EFI 2-stroke and it’s amazing off trail - lightweight and good bottom end power.
Thanks! We are impatiently waiting for it to arrive
Respectfully, the block heater's real use is so the motor doesn't have to start from so cold, making it much easier on the internals. An added benefit is it warms up much faster for use. If you have a place to plug in, try it for a week or so.
Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, we are aware of this, and that's why we all have installed block heaters. We live off the grid and our solar system does not support us plugging them in, but we all have them as we know their benefits. Thanks again and thanks for watching!
My buddy using, the tudra ace skidoo for as a vehicle, but very efficient on fuel, when the trail has been made, will buy one.
It’s a great trail machine 😊
there is a Linq box of 130 liters which has an attachment for an ax on the outside
Cool!
Watching your videos, it’s obvious you’re quite a small lady, and you’re really having problems keeping the Tundra upright. It’s a tough learning curve, especially with your smaller size and light weight. It’s too bad you’re not going to stick with the Tundra. Smaller drivers are a fairly easy swap and make a huge difference. If you found the Tundra a handful on side hills and that sort of thing, a wide track is really going to be a bear for you. If you end up with an Expedition, pull the sway bar off first thing.
I like having a manual recoil on my machine, I like that rotating throttle set up though
Yes, a recoil is nice too!
I have a 600ace swt I’m always pulling heavy loads deep snow on my trap line no problems yet
Yes, the super wides are amazing. We went with a WT 900 ace with studded track. That should be a great improvement.
Appreciate the thorough review. Trying to decide on the ACE or EFI for a trapping sled. Over 20 more horsepower in the 2stroke...
Thanks, yes that’s a tough one. we have heard good things about the EFI but haven’t tried it. We went 4 stroke as it has the best gas mileage, but we find the gearing is too high for the style of riding we do.
My guess for your next new sled....An Expedition.
Close, we spring checked a skandic WT 900 ace!
I had a2016 scandic 20 wide 900 ace and by far the best snowmobile I have ever owned. That's my guess, a scandic 20 wide. Excellent for towing breaking trail and backing up, only yesterday I was looking at ordering another for next winter, take care.
Great guess. We spring checked a Skandic WT 900 ace with studded track.
@@TheBrientFamily I honestly don't think you will regret that decision. I will be buying the 2024 . Take care.
The skidoo expedition sport 900 ace is a great sled you might want to consider
Great suggestion, we spring checked a 900 ace skandic wide track
Agreed on the belt squealing. This machine. Needs lower gear ratio….it already has the lowest chain/gear combo….
So skidoo should put 6 or 7 tooth drivers instead of the 8 tooth it comes with stock.
I sold my 600ace for that reason. And went with the 600efi.
Would go back to the ace if ski doo gets the gear ratio rite like the 2016 tundra ace
Yes that squeel is maddening 😅. It seems more geared for fast riding than slow trail breaking, like we do mostly.
Great video, very professional, you could be a SkiDoo sales lady!! I'm going to guess based on your riding style an Expedition with 900 ace would be perfect!
Thanks! Lol, maybe one day! 😊 We went with a WT skandic 900 ace with studded track
I just went with an expition 600efi 2024 can let you know how it goes this winter
Yes the Tundras are abit tippy . I have a 550F and some years ago i got my first 4stroke . It was a Lynx 49 Ranger 900ACE . Its really a awsome machine too. Not sure if they sell Lynx series where you are but Lynx is member of BRP family . Its not that heavy like the Expedition . You would love it too i am sure of . Greetings from Sweden /Thomas
Hey Thomas! Thanks for watching our videos. You live in a beautiful country too. We spent some time there in 2008! (We were bike touring from Cairo to Northcape)
Yes, indeed. We noticed that They start to sell Lynx here too. We ordered the 2024 Skandic wt for leandra in a 900 ace. We think that would be the best for her.
Thanks again for watching! Cheers
I wonder if the 600 efi two stroke would make the sled better? Love your channel!!!
Thanks! Always happy to hear that. We decided to go for a Skandic wide track 900 ace with a studded track
I notice you have the cargo rack installed on the Tundra. Ski-Doo says that that bumper/rack only fits on WT/SWT only. Did you have to make something custom up to get that to fit? Just curious.
Hi! Thanks for watching. that’s interesting that they said that. We ordered it from the local skidoo dealership and it was no issue, and no adaptation was needed. We installed it ourselves.
Did the tundra 600 ace have enough power for a 1 person rider I can’t decide if it will be enough for me or if I should just go with the 900 ace in the skandic Le I weigh 195-200 and usually ride in deep powder
It will have enough power, but consider what you want to use it for. We passed it on to our son and he loves it for playing in the snow. It didn’t work for us as a towing/working machine.
I think you are getting scandic wt or swt with 900 ace, would be a great machine
900 ace skandic WT and loving it!
Spring order an Expedition, put a 900 under the hood and problem solved.
We got a skandic wide track 900 ace 👍🏻
Skaldic 600 ACE 20”
Close! It will be a Skandic 900 ace 20”
are you getting a expedition LE ?
We considered it but we like the pogo stick suspension, so went with a Skandic WT 900 ace
Expedition 900 turbo, 20 in, studded track
Pretty close! We ordered a Skandic Wide track 900 ace with studded track
My guess is that you are getting a expedition xtreme wt
Close. We just picked up the new sled today! It’s a Skandic Wide track 900ace
Hi, I am owner the Tundra LT 600ACE 2011. I have it 14 year during. I have a 10 Litres by 100 km, may be same more if 2 mans (1+1), 20 litres is very big appetite! Is it with big trailer and deep snow?
It was towing a load through deep snow indeed. but out of the three snowmobiles, it's definitely the most fuel efficient machine.
Skandic 900 ace 20”
Exactly. With a studded track 👍🏻
Can this machine be hotwired to start without a key? My friend misplaced his and he’s wondering if it can be started without that chain key that hooks to that black ball.😂
Good question. We have no idea. Good luck 🤞
I bet you are having 900 ace wide track. Thanks
You got it! 💯
That motor belongs in a golf cart. Had the same machine for two years. A horrible slush pig. Sorry Ace culters.
Yep, but while we disliked it because it didn’t perform as a towing/working machine, we passed it on to Justin, and he is loving it to play around with. I have to say that I live the new Skandic WT 900 ace SE. it’s just what I needed.
Great use for 600. I may get one for my grandson. Enjoy the Skandic.@@TheBrientFamily
