My girl got me a set for christmas... I had seen some bad reviews and kinda wrote the iem off and was considering other bcd iems... But after actually hearing the anvil im simply blown away. Exactly like you said, you can hear all the up top information without ever being to much. The texture on strings and vocals on live recordings(passing through-leonard cohen) amazing... The sense of the room in tracks is incredible for an iem. The bass texture, orgasmic... Pula really out did themselves with this, they built magic strait into the iem.
Great review as usual. Your passion comes through loud and clear. Love the way you go through the details with great storytelling skills. Your videos are a pleasure to watch. Wishing you the best
The graph is extremely similar to the Aful Magicone, so maybe for anyone who liked the magicone (I did) but wish to get rid of the weaknesses that come with a single ba set and even add a unique touch (BCD Unit).
Had the same problem. Went for Anvil for the exciting driver config and the praised soundstage. I gotta admit that the graph of the Performer 7 looks more appealong to me tho. Well ill see / hear.
This may be one of those buy both and return one (or keep both) type of situations... I got the Letshuoer S12 2024 coming from a Supermix 4, and after changing to the same type of tips the SM4 had, it sounds phenomenal. I think they all need a tip roll and a relisten from reviewers. The SM4 V-shape Harmon is actually a very sweet spot and super clear and EQ-friendly. I will also look into the bone conducting Anvil 114 next, out of audiophile curiosity!
I picked up the Tansio Mirai Shock wjth the Sonion BC and love that set. Had my eye on the Zempire Audio unit with the 11mm BC that has received good reviewed from HBB but was leary of ordering from Russia with Crypto. Now there is this set with the same BC driver and a dynamic on the low end so its trigger pull time. Thanks for the great review. I do set ups like you did with the DC Elite and Xduoo all the time and call them Mac Daddy set ups. To my ear seperate transport, Dac pre amp and amp are the best way to go. Looking foward to this set and Bravo!
I am so loving these Anvils played through my Cayin RU7 which had no problem driving them . The 3D is shocking and needed Divinus Velvets to get some decent bass out of them. I think they need some burning in. I think the bass will open up more. So spacious but the female vocals scare me.
The Simgot Supermix 4 has 1 DD+1 BA+1 Planar +1 PZT (Hybrid Drivers Earphones). I'd like to see Simgot continue the series and include a bone conduction driver to make a Supermix 5 an d later an SM6. The tech in the SM4 is pretty well done already!
Nice to see that you've started adding the approx price for your preferred IEMs. It provides a useful context to viewers who are not as au-fait with the more expensive end of the IEM market.
Update: Beautiful mids, mind blowing, it's perfection. No harsh upper treble for my sensitivity. Using Divinus Velvet Wide Bore, listening to Claire Cadillac (Malia, Boris Blank) over and over 😊
I've been seeing a lot of BC iems come out in the last 6 weeks, and I'm really curious how they change up the sound. The frequency graph on this is what I would look for in an iem. Just put an order in for this on HifiGo and I'm excited to hear how it sounds.
@@roguegorilla8981 I appreciate the tip. I sent an email to Hifigo, so maybe they'll let me switch out iems. If not, I'm sure I'll be happy with the Pula.
Adds a 3D, holographic immersive sound. Some will vibrate at certain frequencies, which can be bass or the vocals/midrange. The BC adds some extra sauce to the midrange and sometimes more texture and impact to the bass.
I love my Pula02 and over my Shanling ME 600 all because of the tuning. I felt the Shanling just too much and in my face compared to the Pula. I have already ordered the Anvil blind, as I got a great deal. I trust this company. Now the reviews are bailing my impulse buy out and I am so excited. 🎉
Also the good part is, the faceplate doesn't look Aful on the Pula. I'm sold on the Anvil too. Wanted to grab the P5+2 but I found out that it's not special for the price.
Thanks for the review. I would like to point out that the background music a slight too much and I'm having hard time hearing your review. Perhaps lower the music or no music at all.
What would you prefer for a mids (vocal ) lover who don't like bright sounding iems (Can't tolerate sibilance)? Performer7, juear61t, dynaquattro, fan 3, estrella, anvil or some other? Thanks.
I had the Penon Fan 3, looooved the vocals but I missed some more bass and dynamics, will THIS be IT? :). P.S I have the coupon so I can repurchase the Fan 3 for 175$, but having 2 more BA in the Pula may be worth it
Oh the cable, the accessories are nice. I'm starting to like the quick change type C adapter, for the convenience. I find myself grab the lighter and smaller stuff more often than a full DAP or dongle or whatever when life gets busy.
Not using name brand, they are using custom. That isn't necessarily bad, but imo I kinda take "custom ba" drivers and look at that like this in mind- A: These ba drivers are made specifically to fit this tuning that comes out of the box B: There is a high chance that because they are custom made, they may not take to EQ as well. Obviously, this isn't always true, just better to know the risks before jumping in.
@@Quo_Audito interesting thought about no-name (which is kinda silly b/c there are only two Chinese brands of BAs) BAs don't take to EQ'ing the same way as Sonion or Knowles.
@@larrydunn4626 Ya, I obviously don't know the ins and outs of BAs, just that from the IEMs I have with custom BAs can sometimes seem to show distortion easier when EQing? I don't even EQ heavy, like I try and keep any boost under 3db if possible, but the highest I'll go is 6db if it results in a good sound without ruining quality, if that makes any sense. Like I said, just the way I look at it so that way if the iem doesn't EQ well, I'm not disappointed and if it does, then it's like a happy surprise!
@@larrydunn4626 Also, are you saying like literally only two manufacturers make all BAs in existence? No other company, person, brand, etc has made their own in house BA? @@Quo_Audito I'm saying that besides Sonion and Knowles, there are two off the shelf Chinese BA brands. Oh so it has the cheaper bc driver. Basically like the one in the plutus beast. I'll definitely have to pass on this one. I have the Bgvp dma and it's got some visceral bass with the right tips.

So far the H60 is the best in my Collection due to its magical mids and stage. Even better then the Fan 3 (which I VASTLY PREFER in switch setting “1”. I’m convinced they wired the switch backward because it sounds more holographic and dynamic than in the supposed BC driver ON position. Thinking the Anvil will be a great addition or possibly unnecessary against the Fan 3?

PA02 atm my favourite. Really looking forward to the Anvil.
You were so sweet on this one I thought you were eating hard candy! Great review!
Ahhhh Anvil versus Performer7 I gotta decide for 11.11! 🥵
Tough call both fantastic, if you don't have a BCD iem yet this is the one to get.

How does this compare to the BGVP DMA thats 100 bucks more expensive?

A Supermix 5 could have the BC and the 6 an EST. One of every driver. I'm just curious if they could do it well.
How are the technical performance on these compared to the myer audio D41 or SL41? And d62?
kbear kb02 is about to be released on the 2nd, I'll pick it up to see how the BC driver feels.
oh man WHAT AN EPIC REVIEW
Thanks so much!

Does a bone conductor actually produce sound (music) or just vibration? Thanks.
Hi.. like the symbolism you use..👌
I have the BQEYZ Wind. How would this compare to the Wind? Is it worth getting?
The wind BC worked a tiny bit the PULA is otherworldly
Wait the terminations are screw on? Great!
Ordered on the way 😁
Awesome review as always. How does Anvil compared against fiio fa19? Either of them is gonna be my next 11:11 buy.
BCD yes yes yes!
How better for guitare 🎸 elct [rock version miely cyrus]
Anvil or performance 7
Thnks you
Good no mid bass scoop and long treble extension
How does the anvil compare against the canon 2 in up up?
The C2 was good but easy forgettable the Anvill is not its special
@@tonedeafmonkOh wow ok I'll keep an eye on the anvil then. Thanks as always for your help monk 😊
Bine conduction addiction. I know right? 😂 Love my BGVP DMA. Hard to go back to other gear without BC. 😅
Is it known what specific drivers are used?
how does it compares with penon fan3 that also has a BC ?
i only tried the bqeyz winter long time ago and im amazed how bc sound on string instrument. i hope i can try this hehe.
The effect is much more pronounced on the Anvil
It sounds like a nobrainer, at least i has placed my order and it will be fun to compare it to the Bajie
is the shell the same size, shape and nozzle as the PA02?
Bigger shell longer nozzle
So this is a collab?
