Regarding the Amanero USB on the J3. Can that be used as an input from, say, the Eversolo DMP-A6's USB out to use the DAC from the J3? Assuming the USB input would give the best performance over the optical and coax.

Hi Monk! I'm considering purchasing the Zephyr, but I've recently got the EPZ Q1 Pro as my first IEM and I'm struggling with its large nozzle diameter. I have smaller ear canals and can only use the smallest ear tips. Could you tell me the nozzle diameter of the Zephyr? I want to ensure it will fit comfortably. The Zephyr's nozzle seems long, so I'm concerned about getting a proper seal if it's too large. Would this IEM work for someone with smaller ear canals? Thanks for your help!

Hey there, nice review! I heard about trying the e20 with an impedance adapter on your Deuce review, and I planned on trying 30ohm and 75ohm adapters with the e20. But I mainly use a Qudelix and also have a ka13...and I was wondering are they powerful enough to drive the e20 with 30/75ohm adapter? I can't seem to get an answer for this, and I dont know anything about this stuff. If you can help, thanks! If you can't, thanks anyway! Lol

same experience here, I ended feeling pretty much the same way you do about this set. Placed my order as soon as HBB video was released, their website had their first tier of supporters filled, yet i did not get an email from them contacting me in any way to tell what prize was my order into. In fact, i received no price at all, not even a round case but the cheapest textile tiny squared case where the set barely fits, and that is without the impedance adapter. By beginning of november i was starting to loose faith if I was going to get anything at all. By the time it arrived and so plain, I had no hype left, no interest anymore so I thought that's why to me they sounded wrong without adapter and uglier still with it. You have said the rest. Maybe you as reviewer could be rescued as a brand fan if they were to follow your suggestion. Me, I do not think to risk again the chance to get anything decent in a boutique brand trying to push a massive value product, they just don't know how to produce, merch, or even distribute it. I can confirm it was a good dream that a mediatic reviewer gave momentum.

Hello, just entering the world of EIMs :) I am in the hobby of classic hifi stereo system since 1990 . As i don't know where to start with all those IEMs and brands on the market, i look at so many reviews and reviewers. I ended up to be confident in your approach of sound for IEMs. I am mostly listening to electronic music. I also i like on a side all kind of music from hip-hop, goth, jazz (minimal, up to trio, after it's to complex for me), rock, pop and blues. I just order The Shanling ME600 setup after this review ! Thank you so much for helping me in choosing my first wired IEM ;) I have a pair of SONY WF-1000XM4 paired with my iPhone, convenient for traveling. What do you think paring the ME600 with the FOSI DS2 DAC and an iPhone 14 ? And second question, i need a short cable USB-C to lightning between the DAC and the iPhone. Do you recommend a specific cable or any basic will do the job ? I really appreciate your work and your videos, waiting for the next :) PS : Hope my english is OK...

I appreciate the honest review. Man, not having rewind/back button is a big down for me. I hope they offer option to change or long press play/pause to rewind/back button in near future.

I have reached a frustration point with the "promise" of cheap IEMs, made in China. You buy and buy and hope to get a nice one, but not so. Spent a bit on an ARTTI T10 and it also has channel and frequency imbalances. Frustrating. Was about to invest in a PR3, then saw this video. Not ready to go through any more disappointments with ChiFi products. Was considering investing in HiFiMan headphones, but I hear their own quality control is also all over the place. Unfortunately that means, the dream of inexpensive planar magnetics, is like a lottery at this point in time. Huge promise, but poor delivery in today's market.

Yh I agree Deuce is suited more towards rap, hip-hop, EDM etc. It's very genre specific.

Just watching this due to the SA6MK2 comparison. I have the Xenns Top and wondered how the SLT6 compared to that as you mentioned the UP. I sadly find the mid bass on the top to aggressive for everyday listening to a range of music.

Was considering the Deuce but now am considering the e20 with a 30ohm and 75ohm adapter to try out (i can get both for less money than just the 50ohm). How would they sound with either? Is 30 not enough bass, and is 75 too much (in comparison to the deuce)? I still want the mids and highs to sound good...but I do want a very bassy deuce like experience. Oh and is a qudelix (2.5mm) and a fiio ka13 (4.4mm) enough to power the e20 plus impedance adapter? Sorry, I'm still new to this stuff! Thanks alot man, great video.

Yee im still waiting for the Deuce, but did get the Aoshida just before the weekend, fun you mention the body slam to the guitar, it was one thing i did react on to the Aoshida, it sounded more like a back dunk, else its sounds pretty good.

I was able to demo this last week at fatfreq booth and I have similar impressions with you. Too much sub bass with not enough midbass to support it as well as mids sounding too drowned out to me. Not as bad as scarlet mini bass but I can see why some people would grab the deuce. It ended up selling out after all. On a side note, I was able to try sliivo sl41 from other people going around there. I really liked it except the cymbals can sound harsh on genres like rock/metal.
