TBH, EIGHTY SIX is really underrated
most underated ever imo, only anime i cried too
Bro there was a scene in second season I was fighting those tears even after the scene ended and moved on to something else I was still fighting it for some reason 😅
it's not underrated. it just didn't take off or the same exposure as more popular series

I've watched over 12 thousand episodes of different Anime and surprisingly 86 is still my favorite. I've never had my heart feel so much from any movie or series or Anime

I wanna travel back in time erase my memory to rewatch this anime. eighty six left me in tears. It was so good and yet sad with a beautiful blend of everything that makes anime grade. I hope this anime gets another season. As it really deserves it.
This is one of those series you just always wanna relive the first feeling moments to.
i dont usually reply to stuff but I had to for this. But God you are so right about that. Wish I could do that for every Good Anime i've watched Especially 86. Out of all the animes i've seen this is prob 1 or 2 on my list of best animes

Ooo yeah, me too. I was so hyped when I started watching, I woke up at 5 am, before going to school, just to watch this anime :)) (btw, I'm a teacher :)) ) I cried so much. I even bought the light novels too. It's a very well written anime.
Yeah from what I’ve heard from LN readers, (surprisingly no spoilers from them) where the anime ended is really just the start of the story and it keeps getting better.
86 was my first anime, and no regrets. Still my favourite

as a veteran weeb since covid 19 breakout, i confirm 86 is amazing, and maybe the best (emotional, amazing action, a little bit horror, and everything in once)
86 is such a GOATED anime combined with godly osts

You should read the books. I loved the anima they really brought many scenes to that extra level but if course there is always much more in the books. Like the fact that kurena met Lena's Dad but they both don't know it yet.

Agreed. While I do want a Part 3, part of me did not want it because this is the best possible ending they could muster in the series.

I think more then any other work Hiroyuki has done this one reminds me of kill la kill. Much of the piano music is very similar. I love both of the osts so much.
