This is so nostalgic for me. I grew up with Tokyo Ghoul since I was 11 years old. I am turning 18 this year. Time flies, I am going to enter college so soon. The amount of nostalgia it gave me is so strong that it scares me when I listen to this soundtrack. I miss the good old days, Tokyo Ghoul will always be my favourite anime.

Same here, I watched Tokyo ghoul as a way to escape the world around me as I faced many challenges. This anime has helped me in so many ways as well. I honestly also can’t believe how fast time flies. I also turned 18 this year lol and this coming of age just makes us realise how time flies. :,D

I JUST found it! Watching it on Hulu. I just started the 3rd season and wanted to look up some behind the scenes stuff on YT. Man, what a can of worms I found for TG! The second season is... yeah... there's a video out that helps those of us who have only watched the anime and NOT read the manga. WORLD of difference. Upshot is, now I'll be buying the manga!
No matter how good the content of a game/movie/anime is , if the music isnt THIS good then it will never succeed. This OST is heartbreaking

8 years ago when tokyo ghoul came out i was a depressed 19 year old who listened to the Tokyo Ghould OST on repeat.
Now, I still listen to it whenever I'm depressed and feel a little bit at ease.
i was also 19 and fetl depressed time to time and loved to listen masterpieces and tokyo ghoul was the best at that time , now i'm almost 28 and still listen to this kind of OST ... and after that i have started wtaching japanese and chinese animes . those years were best

The funny thing is that before I had watched this show my family and I were renovating an old building in a small town were it would soon become a cafe. I had started watching season 1 when we had started our cafe business. I was in charge of a lot of things including the selection of music for the cafe. Sometimes when business was slow I just sat down with some Tokyo Ghoul OST and sipped away at my coffee ☕️

tokyo ghoul made me cry tears of joy and sadness it is such a great story and if you think you might watch it i say you should but you will cry and might wonder about why life is so mean to different kinds of people i loved it but it made me sooo sad and think that if someone you love was to turn into something like a ghoul we should still treat them like the normal people they are instead of treating them like 2 class people because they matter just as much as a normal human

I still listen to this regularly. It's not just an anime to me. I nearly lost my life around the time i started watching it.
I was attacked in the street over a phone. I was 16 and they beat me so bad I was hysterically laughing before I blacked out.
It was the second time i had been mugged. I was always a target for how small I was. I was nieve and frail like human Kaneki. I had to learn to be strong so that I could protect myself and the people around me.
I'm much older now, but I looked up to Kaneki for never losing sight of himself even after being tortured and treated with such cruelty. I wouldn't even blame him if he had turned his back on the world.. he had every right to, but he didn't. Maybe that's still him being nieve, but I admired that he refused to see himself as broken.

I remember the days that I would wait for Tokyo Ghoul episodes to come out every Thursday back in 2014 and 2015. It would be the best thing I looked forward to every week. Man those were good times. But 2017 brings Attack on Titan season 2 so maybe I could relive those anxious times :D

My first anime ever, the feels man ;"). Piano got me into anime, I loved animenz's unravel cover so much that I had to watch the anime, the plot was great and the OSTs, a chery on the top. Since then I started watching alot, using piano medleys as a guide. Watching the one's with amazing music and gradually I developed my anime taste and abandoned this way of deciding the next, it feels sad to think about it now considering how far i've come, seen most of the classics and depend on the new arrivals of the season.

My thoughts on the anime
Season 1: OH MY GOD THIS WAS AMAZING. THE MUSIC AND CHARACTERS ARE THE BEST PARTS OF THE ANIME.
