I have microlocks that are almost 6 months and my hair is around your length and I have the same exact length goal as you!!! 🙋🏾♀️I am not really crazy about having long locks as well, just want my front to get to my shoulders!!!

Yes 4 months. I will be 5 months in late May.

🙋♀️not my skin tone, but I need the smallest u got. I'm a tiny gal. Your locs are the most like mine that I've seen. I've got a seborrheic dermatitis/stress/life probs. God bless!

Your hair looks great. Very pretty. I am like you. I don't have long hair goals. A nice full shoulder length is what I want. I am 6 months locd. Best decision I have made since I decided to stop relaxing my hair 10 years ago.

I have some build up in it this month, but it might just be lint. I didn't tie my hair at all this month.
I usually tie my hair every night, use satin or silk pillowcases, and I don't use any products in my hair. Just water. That's it.

Hey Sis, great update, I am 7 months locked and mine look similar to yours. I have a few locks that look like the looser pattern you showed at the front of your hair, my consultant said they need to be 'pulled through' again to tighten up the lock. I will D'm you via Instagram 💕

Do you have sisterlocks? If you have sisterlocks, you should not be putting any products in your hair whatsoever. (At least until your hair is mature enough for it and your consultant says it’s okay).
I’m not sure what you can do with other types of locs
@@TheRealKylaB thanks for your reply. I had a twistloc done. With RUclips tutorial Can afford a loctitian. So I went for twistlocs. Done already with a little bit of a locking gel.

Hi! What size locs did you get ? I’m getting mine on the 22nd and so confused
Are you confused about which size to get?
Well, loc size refers to the parting space - the box they part for each individual loc. I have medium to large locs in my hair. The only reason they look small is because I have fine hair and medium/low density. So let's pretend I have 20 strands per 1/4" parting space and another person has 60 strands per 1/4" parting space. Their locs are gonna be 3 times the size of mine.
So if you have thicker hair, and you want the same look I have, you will probably need to get smaller locs than me.

I just made 6 months, still heavy in the shrinkage phase. Longggg sigh
Our hair will always be longer than it appears with locs. I'm 9 months now and my hair still shrinks heavily. I lose about 4 inches with shrinkage. I'm only okay with it because the shrinkage makes my hair look thicker & I want full hair more than I want long hair. lol
How long is your hair? and how long does it look with your locs?
@@TheRealKylaB I started with 9 inches. Not sure where I am now. My next retie is 5/1. Will be coming up on 7 months. I’m the same as you wanting big full hair opposed to length. What’s your ig? I will follow and send a pic.

Right. I'm hoping at that length, it'll be all volume. I feel like once it passes your shoulder, it becomes less voluminous. I'm just here for the volume 😂.
