My favorite Warrant song. The band wanted Uncle Toms Cabin released first. Record execs wanted Cherry Pie. 32 Pennies is another great lesser known song of theirs that I like. Jani Lane was an excellent songwriter and vocalist. Great band all around.
Was watching old Warrant videos and spotted your reaction videos. Today would have been Jani Lane’s 60th birthday. Love that you are experiencing his vocals so many years after his passing.
Warrant is one of the most under rated hair bands. Jani Lane had one of the best voices. I saw Red is a great song, along with Heaven, Sometimes She Cries, and like someone else said, 32 pennies is a great song. He was such a nice guy too, on top of being so talented. I met him and his then gf Bobbi Brown (the girl from Cherry Pie video) at the bar he used to own here in Orlando. He was SO down to earth and nice. Ugh, Im still so sad he passed away.
Jani Lane was not only a great vocalist but also a deeply underrated songwriter. Down Boys is another banger, Blind Faith and Sometimes She Cries are phenomenal ballads - all musts. Rest in Peace Jani ❤
Down Boys is basically a cover of The Cars Bye Bye Love. But this song kicks ass. Not surprised at all that Mike Slamer played most if not all solos on Warrants albums. Turner and Allen weren't exactly shredders which is surprising because during that time even crappy bands had badass guitarists!
Kind of feel if this song and Down Boys would have been released first as singles it would have changed the perception, reception, and direction that Warrant would have had in the late 80s. After Cherry Pie they were kind of always relegated as a 2nd tier hair band. Their talent was definitely 1st tier. Them and Cinderella, IMO, had a lot more musical talent than a lot of bands ranked ahead of them.
I'm a hardcore headbanger from the 80's and this song is cemented in my top 5 songs of all time, period. The variety of instruments, the fact that they tell a story, and the moment they shift from banjo to electric, it hits you in the face like a flying elbow from Connor MacGregor! Mad love and appreciation to the Rob Squad Crew!!
*Warrant - "Blind Faith", "Mr. Rainmaker," "I Saw Red", "Sometimes She Cries" are some other greats. 'Uncle Tom's Cabin is one of my favorites! Warrant is definitely a band you need to do more reactions to. Their whole playlist is just awesome!* 🔥
Warrant was my very first concert. Jani mooned the security guard that knocked over the bottle of booze Jani had offered him. Even trashed the dude had pipes.
Yes! Warrant's best song, IMO. Love Jani's voice. one of the best ever. So happy to have you hear this one. They were much heavier than their radio songs, but even their ballads were great.
That is so true. He was exceptionally good live too, something that can't be said about many metal singers of the era or even today. And he actually maintained his voice pretty well into his later years despite heavy drinking. Some live recordings from the last years started to show some trouble with highest notes but that is nothing compared to many other 90's metal singers who actually turn the microphone to the audience when they would need to go high.
A lot of people (including myself) couldn't get past the cheesiness of Cherry Pie and basically wrote Warrant off as just another hair metal band. This is a really good song, that 30+ years later, I can appreciate.
There next album is straight up metal with great songs...they changed in a way i would say almost as much as Skid Row did on the Slave to the Grind album.
❤ The structure of this song is phenomenal hands down!!!!! Has always been a favourite every since it first came out!!!! This is their more serious side and I am glad you FINALLY gave it a listen!!! Cherry Pie was NOT their favourite btw. They felt like it tarnished their look and the sound they wanted to be known for. This is the REAL Warrent!!!!❤
Probably the only Warrant song I still lip sink. Love, love, love this song. You guys got so serious when you realized it was the sheriff doing the killing.
Warrant kind of caught the tail end of the hair-metal era, which kind of got run over by the grunge movement of the early 90s. Warrant had some great tunes, three of which you've now heard. Try "Down Boys", "Sometimes She Cries", "I Saw Red", and "Blind Faith". No doubt about it, Jani Lane was a helluva frontman!
Saw them open for Motley Crue on the Dr. Feelgood tour and this album wasn't out yet. They played this song for us and said it's on the upcoming album. So good live.
The lead singer is Jani Lane, who sadly passed away in 2011. One of the best singers and songwriters of the hair band era. Definitely need to do more Warrant! Check out Down Boys, Heaven, Sometimes She Cries, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin Rich, the entire Cherry Pie album. RIP Jani Lane
Jani Lane, the lead singer had the best voice. Warrant is always a good listen. RIP Jani, you left us to soon. Could I suggest "I Saw Red", the acoustic version? Very good song. Great reaction to one of my favorite groups.
The lead singer was the late and great Jani Lani. He wrote all of Warrant’s material, lyrics and music, until he left the band. He passed away August 11, 2011. He was 47 and the world lost a great talent
I worked merch at a show for them before Jani dropped out for the finale time. Sweet sweet man. The song 'I saw Red" is a great one to do next. Ya gotta give us a Review of the song "Give it too me good" by Trixter. We need a hair band day of the week! Hair band Monday to kick off the week!
I saw his solo act less than 2 years before he tragically took his own life; He still had an amazing, very rich, and soulful voice, with plenty left in the tank. It was very sad indeed.
So glad you guys liked this song! Another high-energy song to check out is a new artist to you guys, "'rings bell'" Stabbing Westward - and check out their song "Save Yourself"
Jani was one of the best songwriters of his time! So glad I got to see him perform. I Saw Red, Stronger Now, Love In Stereo, Letter To A Friend, The Bitter Pill and Blind Faith are all amazing songs.
One of my favorites! Jay did one hell of a job with his rendition of "Cherry Pie" 🤣, take a listen to "I Saw Red" and "Blind Faith" - I loved Jani, he was so charismatic.
Jani Lane was an incredible singer and songwriter. He wrote the majority of the songs on their first 3 albums. He said in an interview that Stronger Now was one of tge favorite songs he wrote. I love listening to it. There was nothing like going to a Warrant concert. They were great in large arenas and small dive bars. Anytime they were in town I would go see them I think the last time I saw them was in Vegas at The Aladdin theatre before they tore it down. I miss Jani Lane and the music he still had left to write. Addiction sucks.
Takes me back to high school! I love the acoustic guitar in this song. One of the first acoustic riffs I learned to play. Great choice for a great song! Love you guys! Peace!
Jani was one of the best songwriters of the era. One song I haven't seen anyone talk about is: bed of roses. If you ever lived in a motel this hits home.
Wife here..Coool Vocals Jay😎..Wayyy back in late 80's early 90's..My Galpals and I went to see these guys...Lead singer Jani Lane jumped into the crowd and sang one of his Ballads to me..Amazing memory..,May he Rest in Piece..He was truly talented.., I won't get into the "Cherry Pie" discussion as it is rumored he came to hate it....Great Pick and Reaction!!!
AT LAST!!! We’ve been asking for this one for a while now. I’m so glad that you guys have finally decided to view it. It is one of my favorite Warrant songs. Jani Lane (RIP) was the lead vocalist and wrote most of their songs. He had an amazing voice and left us way to soon. Other great songs to check out next are “Mr. Rainmaker”, “Blind Faith” and “The Bitter Pill”. They even did a remake of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” for a movie called Gladiator. Their version isn't too bad.
Vocalist is Jani Layne unfortunately he passed a few years ago I believe this is one of the best videos in the business if you are interested they perform one of the most heart-wrenching break up songs it's called I saw red
Warrant put on one heck of a concert. I saw them in 91. We had front row seats. Jani Lane made the whole venue seem almost intimate. He really interacted well with his audience….. and his eyes….. oh his eyes were so beautiful
Definitely their best song. Just great structure, lyrics and guitar work. There was time when this band came out where they couldn’t make a bad song then It all came to a screeching halt J, just loving his hair band genre!
I had the honor to meet jani acouple times and can tell you.Jani was the most down to earth guy and sweet as can be.He loved to drink yes but as a frontman who could and would get the crowd involved every night. He was the best.Yes underrated band, and jani as a writter, performer and vocalist.Warrant will never be warrant w/o Mr.Jani Lane.R.I.P my friend.
WARRANT is one of those bands where, to me, 50% of their songs are just ok. 40% of their songs are really good. But 10%... Oh that 10% is freaking FANTASTIC. And this is one of those 10%
It’s a feeling of down home southern rock hit where these guys hit your gut .. especially when you here Down Boy’s 🎶.. Jani Lane as the Lead has the power for the band too. In which favorites lost RIP my friend. Still miss you. Another song Heaven hits when we wanna hear this group 🎶.
We couldn't believe this was Warrant when it dropped back in the day. This song is SO good. I actually like Warrant and other 80's glam, my era. But this was another level above their other music. R.I.P Jani Lane.
I miss this band so much! Definitely check out more of their songs..."Down Boys", "I Saw Red", "Sometimes She Cries", "Blind Faith". Also, you haven't reacted to White Lion yet! "Little Fighter" is a great song to start with.
My favorite Warrant song. The band wanted Uncle Toms Cabin released first. Record execs wanted Cherry Pie.
32 Pennies is another great lesser known song of theirs that I like. Jani Lane was an excellent songwriter and vocalist. Great band all around.
Mine too!!!
This was Warrant and showed the excellent musicians they were
This song is one of their best 32 Pennies. RIP Jani Lane
Yess same !!!
@deanarjones9114 I totally agree. Jani was a great singer and fantastic songwriter. Gone way too soon. RIP Jani Lane
Was watching old Warrant videos and spotted your reaction videos. Today would have been Jani Lane’s 60th birthday. Love that you are experiencing his vocals so many years after his passing.
Warrant is one of the most under rated hair bands. Jani Lane had one of the best voices.

Me too, it's a sad story.
Warrant - I Saw Red great song
Warrant hugely underrated band like Steelheart and Y&T
yes! I saw Red is my favorite Warrant song
Agree! They were great!
Jani Lane was not only a great vocalist but also a deeply underrated songwriter. Down Boys is another banger, Blind Faith and Sometimes She Cries are phenomenal ballads - all musts. Rest in Peace Jani ❤
The whole first album was awesome.
Down boys!

Love Jani Lane!
This song is simply brilliant!
Down Boys is such a great fun tune!
I concur.
Yeah!
I'm a hardcore headbanger from the 80's and this song is cemented in my top 5 songs of all time, period. “I Saw Red” should be next
Mr. Rainmaker was always a favorite of mine
Love blind faith and mr rainmaker
Please ass "big talk" in that list haha the litics are relatable
Other than the lead single Cherry Pie was a really a heavy blues-rock album.
I saw Warrant open for Motley Crue. They debuted “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” live that night. It hadn’t come out yet. I was one of the 1st to hear this one!
Warrant was my very first concert. Jani mooned the security guard that knocked over the bottle of booze Jani had offered him. Even trashed the dude had pipes.
I also saw Warrant open for Motley Crue. It was my second concert and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yes! Warrant's best song, IMO. Love Jani's voice. one of the best ever. So happy to have you hear this one.
They were much heavier than their radio songs, but even their ballads were great.
This is such a great song by a great 80s hair band. RIP Lani Jane
Warrant has so many great songs but "I Saw Red" you can really hear the emotion in Jani Lane's voice!
He actually wrote I saw red about a girlfriend he caught in coitus. She was with a guitarist from another famous band.
Great song; heard it live and it was amazing!
Definitely
@@incantation521 Yes, he caught his girlfriend in the act of getting it on with Richie Sambora.
Jani Lane was one of the best singers of the hair era. Totally underrated

Facts 💯
Yeah, even Jani hated that song.
Truth brother!!
There next album is straight up metal with great songs...they changed in a way i would say almost as much as Skid Row did on the Slave to the Grind album.
But that music video though is 🔥.
The intro was played by Jani's older brother Eric Oswald
My Dad wasnt into hard rock but he liked the story of this song
❤ The structure of this song is phenomenal hands down!!!!! Has always been a favourite every since it first came out!!!! This is their more serious side and I am glad you FINALLY gave it a listen!!! Cherry Pie was NOT their favourite btw. They felt like it tarnished their look and the sound they wanted to be known for. This is the REAL Warrent!!!!❤
I Saw Red by Warrant is a real powerful ballad by them that was real popular in 91’. Very emotional song
Yes, based on a true event.
Their best song by far. I still jam out to this one all the time!
Thanks for watching 🤘❤
It's a "Dog Eat Dog" world my friend.
Probably the only Warrant song I still lip sink. Love, love, love this song. You guys got so serious when you realized it was the sheriff doing the killing.
Lyp sync
@@justinatest9456 I'm 46 years old. Who cares?🤣
❤❤❤❤❤ The reason they couldn’t tell was the sheriff put the bodies in the wishing well
Keep your mouth shut, that's what we're gonna do,
'Less you wanna wind up in the wishing well, too!
My favourite by warrant. Also from the album- I Saw Red. Give that one a spin.
Yes! "I Saw Red" is another good one!
It's time for "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row!
Don't forget about Big Talk , Dog Eat Dog , Family Picnic , etc
Wife here..This!!!
Their whole first album was awesome
Saw them open for Motley Crue on the Dr. Feelgood tour and this album wasn't out yet. They played this song for us and said it's on the upcoming album. So good live.
That guitar fill at 5:39 is badass
Jani was good at pulling the emotions and making us feel, too. "I Saw Red" is another of theirs I like.
Great musical story telling....it's like an entire movie summed up in a song. Jani Lane was an amazing writer and VERY underrated!
Excellent Rockin song .I still have My 80's Warrant concert Shirt . RIP Jani Lane .Wish we could have had you longer for more awesome songs !! Rip !!
I love Warrant This Songs bad ass!!🎼🤘❤️🔥
The lead singer is Jani Lane, who sadly passed away in 2011. One of the best singers and songwriters of the hair band era. Definitely need to do more Warrant! Check out Down Boys, Heaven, Sometimes She Cries, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin Rich, the entire Cherry Pie album. RIP Jani Lane

One of my absolutely favorite Warrant song, I saw red is pretty awesome as well.
You said it.
"Uncle Toms Cabin" and "I Saw Red" are my favorite Warrant songs. "Heaven" is another that's a classic.
Jani Lane, the lead singer had the best voice. Warrant is always a good listen. RIP Jani, you left us to soon. Could I suggest "I Saw Red", the acoustic version? Very good song. Great reaction to one of my favorite groups.

"I Saw Red" is a great ballad! Jani Lane's singing is awesome in this song too!

Jani Lane is was and always will be warrant. His passing was a sad day. He was the talent the face the voice of that whole band.
I saw his solo act less than 2 years before he tragically took his own life; He still had an amazing, very rich, and soulful voice, with plenty left in the tank. It was very sad indeed.
RIP Jani!!
Thanks for playing this one. The whole album was this great.
Love the Reaction !! If you want to hear more Warrant “Bitter pill”,”I saw red”, Mr Rainmaker” are Great ones to react to:)
Bitter Pill is really good...Warrant's version of Bohemian Rhapsody sort of??
Bitter Pill is a masterpiece, it's a shame even people that call themselves warrant fans don't know it
Another great one is "I Saw Red".
This reaction is warranted.
Jani was a hell of a writer...and performer. Ive seen Warrant a bunch of times and they were a great live band. R.I.P Jani
Oh boy this is a good one!!!!
Uncle Tom's Cabin is one of my favorites rock songs of all time - a underrappreciated song of Warrant is "Sometimes She Cries"
One of the best songs ever!
Warrant has some really excellent songs, even behind the hits, but this is their crowning achievement imo.
Their best song ! I Saw Red is also incredible !!
this song is absolutely killer.. rip janie
Jay ,don't give up your day job. 🤣
Lead singer is the late Jani Lane.
“Sure feels good to me” is another good Warrant song
So glad you guys liked this song! Another high-energy song to check out is a new artist to you guys, "'rings bell'" Stabbing Westward - and check out their song "Save Yourself"
This feels like a good time to request "Possum Kingdom" by Toadies.
The singer for Warrant was Jani Lane who died way too young.
In my opinion....THE GREATEST SONG THEY EVER DID!!! Dirty, Raw, and Aggressive!
You are not wrong my friend.
Jani was one of the best songwriters of his time! So glad I got to see him perform.
I Saw Red, Stronger Now, Love In Stereo, Letter To A Friend, The Bitter Pill and Blind Faith are all amazing songs.
The title to their first album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Sticking Rich, is still one of my favorite Warrant songs.
The singers name is Jani Lane. He past away a few years ago. He had a great voice. RIP
Oh, Jay. That was beautiful. 😂
Warrent - Down Boys! Another Great song to hear
One of my favorites! Jay did one hell of a job with his rendition of "Cherry Pie" 🤣, take a listen to "I Saw Red" and "Blind Faith" - I loved Jani, he was so charismatic.

Amazing song!!! Great band.
So glad this finally got to play. The late great Jani Lane it is a great story song. The police is the killer.
Vocalist is Jani Layne unfortunately he passed a few years ago I believe this is one of the best videos in the business if you are interested they perform one of the most heart-wrenching break up songs it's called I saw red
Not just their best song, but one of the very best hair metal songs ever. Bout time someone showed some love
This entire CD was one of my faves even as a 90s baby. I love his voice and everything instrumental just hits right 🖤
I get goosebumps when that first "I know a secret..." hits STILL and I bought this on release day. Still one of my favorite Warrant songs!
Warrant put on one heck of a concert. I saw them in 91. We had front row seats. Jani Lane made the whole venue seem almost intimate. He really interacted well with his audience….. and his eyes….. oh his eyes were so beautiful

Saw Warrant in concert a few years back. They rocked the house with this song!
WARRANT is one of those bands where, to me, 50% of their songs are just ok. 40% of their songs are really good. But 10%... Oh that 10% is freaking FANTASTIC. And this is one of those 10%
Saw Warrant in Akron in 85'. Right before they broke through. So raw, but SOOOOOOO talented.
Heaven and I saw red are 2 good Warrant songs. RIP Jani
I grew up on 80's in the 80's lol. I listened to all the rock and metal. I had zero clue he could sing like that until this song and I Saw Red.🤩
White Lion is another great group from the 80's, When the Children Cry and Little Fighter are my fav songs👍
My favorite Warrant song ever. RIP Jani
Their best song by far. Never been a big fan of theirs or Poison, but props to this song and I saw Red. RIP Jani.
And that, dear friends, is how you tell a story with song lyrics. And I agree Amber. This is my favorite Warrant song
"Sometimes She Cries" & "Down Boys" are both great Warrant tunes.
For their best ballads, try “Sometimes she cries” and “I saw red” ❤
They played this one when they opened for Motley Crue in New Orleans in 1990. Great band. Love this song.
We couldn't believe this was Warrant when it dropped back in the day. This song is SO good. I actually like Warrant and other 80's glam, my era. But this was another level above their other music. R.I.P Jani Lane.
Warrant are so underrated, they had a ton of awesome songs, both hard rockers and ballads. Their first 2 albums both kick ass.
"Stone Cold" -- Rainbow (1982)
Vocals -- Joe Lynn Turner
Lead Guitar -- Richie Blackmore
Drums -- Bobby Rondinelli
Base Guitar -- Roger Glover
I really appreciate seeing you guys at your age enjoying what I enjoyed at your age. Makes me happy I get to relive my youth through y'all . Thanks
I miss this band so much! Definitely check out more of their songs..."Down Boys", "I Saw Red", "Sometimes She Cries", "Blind Faith". Also, you haven't reacted to White Lion yet! "Little Fighter" is a great song to start with.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw these guys in concert. They were one of the two opening bands for Motley Crue
