This lock looks brilliant. Especially with the bridge and keypad. A year ago I bought and installed the Yale Conexis L1 and wish I hadn't. I'm constantly worried it will fail one day and I've no backup method to open the door. I'm looking to swap it out soon for a better solution.
This is definitely the one for you! If you go back far enough on our channel, you will see that we used to sell & fit Yale Conexis… Ultion Smart is far superior & much easier to install if you are doing that yourself…
It would be cool if it supported something like an NFC reader so you could put your phone or a tag up to the device to unlock it instead of having to intervene with a key or opening an app or punching in a code into a keypad.
What's the difference between ZigBee and ZWave and is there any Google Assistant set up in the pipeline? Further is there any newer version due just thinking the lock part looks a bit bulgy and maybe ugly? I'm not sure?
Great video. I’d like a smart lock for an Airbnb listed property. Because it’s listed, I have to be careful to keep the traditional look of the door. Any advice? Thanks!
my current ultion setup and handles has a dead lock fitted wherby the switch is either pushed down or lifted up to activate. If i were to get this smart lock can i still use the dead lock facility? and if the dead lock is in its "locked" postion and i use the smart lock app to unlock ( if someone is inside) will this allow me to open the door which in therory i can do if i have the key?
Can the door unlock with a proximity option? Ie. If I have it via bluetooth on my phone and the door unlocks when I approach it? Thanks. Also, any plans of an update coming out to the design?
In your opinion, is this the best smart lock on the market? I have Alexa and apple devices. Be neat to unlock with Apple Watch but then I compromise Alexa functionality don’t I? What’s the Alexa functionality? All things considered what version do you suggest for me?
Yes, I firmly believe this to be the best Smart lock on the uk market! I love Apple & have Apple everything…. However, in the case of the lock, I actually went with Z-Wave. I guess Apple Watch vs Alexa is 6 of one half dozen of the other but the deal breaker for me is that the keypad is not compatible with HomeKit & I love the keypad. Also, you need an Apple hub before you set the HomeKit one up whist the others will work without a hub so you can connect them at a later date if you don’t already have a smart hub.

So I have an airbnb with a door straight onto the sidewalk. It currently has a split spindle so even if the user walks in and doesn't lift the handle someone outside cannot follow you in. Can I use the split spindle on this lock or will it be unsecure if someone forgets to lift the handle when they walk in?

@@Helplocks Will the lock attempt to auto lock if the door has been opened and closed but the handle not lifted on a multi-point UPVC door. If it does attempt to lock will this damage the smart lock internals?
Casper if you have enabled auto lock then it will at the designated time you set attempt to lock. If the handle has been lifted, it will successfully lock. If the handle has not been lifted, the attempt will fail but it will not cause any damage to the lock or mechanism, it simply part turns & stops. Yes, it works on doors you lift the handle on... you still need to lift the handle but works perfectly... I wouldn’t recommend French doors if they are outward opening, as you don’t get the clearance for the Danalock part to open & close the door

dont like the look of the keypad. only takes a robber to watch your sequence and they gain entrance. i have seen American ones where the keys randomise. so its the same code but the numbers change. so anyone copying the sequence wont get in.
That’s an interesting objection... whilst in theory it’s possible, I think it’s very unlikely that you put your code in whist someone was over your shoulder watching...
