I've just discovered the original yesterday by The Kinks. This remake is way too modern and melodic. Dig the piano in the beginning but love that old 70's sound so much better.

for a matter that is so subjective as music, kevideo22 is sure making a lot of objective statement, there are many people that enjoyed this album, if you dont like it , move the hell on to the next video, damn, some people....
@KeVideo22 it's funny, that whole album had to grow on me, i l grew to love all the great songs, on it, long way down , naked ( which is now my favorite goo goo dolls rock song, when its on the live in buffalo version) ,etc....
but what suprised me that it took me a while to figure out that slave girl was actually a cover song, haha

@KeVideo22 its a good point to bring up the fact how music can grow on u, because i usually hear people say they liked it , or they didnt like it,in my opinion , music can be situational, for example, i dont care for the song eyes wide open very much when im sitting at home, but when im in my car i blast that song at 50,

@KeVideo22 it means you should pay it, if you wanna pay it ,it made more sense to pay it before the album was out because the website made it unclear if the non deluxe version was gonna have the three bonus tracks available, and you could get the album a week early, with the lithograph,

@KeVideo22 it means somethings when you put hits on all your albums for 15 years straight, not many artists can say that, and look at all the hits and singles , their all balladssssss,just like the hits on let love in , btw sscw is one of the most under rated albums ive ever heard, the goos need to play on the lie or stop the world or something on their tours

@KeVideo22 apparently their last record was quite successful though, with 4 hits and a gold record , not bad for a mediocre album,( especially with music piracy on the high rise) their last 2 albums just does not appeal to everyone, especially the superstar car wash fans
from my experience, theyre last two albums are much more powerful live, they rock it up a lot , if you know what i mean, i wonder if they will put out a live album for the last two records,
@KeVideo22 ive listened to every song that this band has come out with , from livin in a hut, to notbroken, i know all of their material, you can tell if you look in my favorites on my channel, i honestly think that hold me up is a strong indie album for its time, i believe to appreciate what the goos are putting out now, a person needs to be able to appreciate the subtleties in music, i do not think this album mediocre, WITH the bonus tracks included, i think this is a solid album

@KeVideo22 i paid 35 dollars, and so did thousands of other people , its for the big fans , plus the lithograph was kinda cool,
@authorNYSE Agreed, he has a wicked voice but the original has something ominus that is not here. Decent cover nonetheless.
