That’s Bobby Hatfield one half of the Righteous Brothers (Bill Medley didn’t think song was going to be a hit) You should check out “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling” and see them together, epic! Good reaction mate and btw cool T-shirt.
thank you & ill check it out
It was a joke. Neither thought it would be a hit because it was recorded for an album. It was dumb luck it was released on the B-side of Hung on You.
You need to do a reaction to Bobby singing Summertime. It will literally knock your socks off
שיר מהמם..מאוד מרגש.אהבתי❤❤וגם אהבתי את התגובה שלך🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍🫶🫶🫶🫶
Bobby Hatfield was a 5 octave counter tenor When he preformed this song live he had a head cold and suffering from stage fright because his mother was seeing him for the first time Greatest duo ever
The very best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never get tired hearing Bobby sing this love song.
no matter how many times I listen to this it never gets boring.
totally agree, as do about a million other people that have heard it over these many year...stone cold classic
Good Job man. Thanks for appreciating the soul.
You need to react to Bobby singing "Summertime" man he can sing it like no other. They were both so talented and could sing a shopping list and make you swoon lol. Much missed RIP Bobby
Exactly
A live performance, no auto tune. He was a countertenor, very rare, and a five octave range.
Loved your reaction to Bobby hatfield of the Righteous Brothers, the music I grew up listening to......thumbs up for your appreciation of a great singer, nice job!
Can you feel his voice in your soul ?
yes always 😇
When Bobby bites his lip at the very end you know that he knew he just nailed that song, "He nailed it!"
Soulful, talented and beautiful Bobby Hatfield. If he sang it; he felt it and made sure you did too! He and Bill Medley made a phenomenal duo and each did solo's. Check out My Prayer and Summertime by Bobby to name a few. RIP Bobby Hatfield you are missed.
I just love his sweet smile at the end. It gets me every time and I have watched so many reaction videos to this man.
Isn't this a beautiful song! And what a voice!
Live. No auto tune. He had a cold and his mom was in the audience. No pressure! An era when entertainers dressed for the occasion and so did their audience. RIP Bobby. NOBODY sings it like Bobby.
Ñobody sings anything ĺìķe Bobby. Try Somewhere and Summertime and Bting it on home for variety.
For sure!! 👍
Best live performance by eight, number one musician. Bobby Hatfield may you rest in peace. You gave us so much joy with your magnificent voice. This performance was a masterpiece.
I first heard this beautiful song the night it aired, and love it just as much today! Enjoyed your reaction!
I was in high school when they came out with this beautiful song. You need to listen to more of their hits. They were an awesome duel. No auto tunes just pure raw talent. RIP Bobby! We miss your beautiful voice! ❤️
We had true artists then....such a beautiful voice! His range & breath control was crazy!!! Bobby Hatfield & Bill Medley are the Righteous Brothers....this is just a solo Bobby did himself. They both had their moments when they would do a solo track. Wait till you hear the 2 of them sing "You've Lost That Loving Feeling"!!! Bills voice is just as stunning as Bobby's.....Bill has the deep voice & of course Bobby here has the tenor voice. No auto tune here!!! 😁❤
This was his first solo on national TV. He was nervous. The smile at the end was for his Mother who was in the audience. The Righteous Brothers was my first concert. In early 60s in Chicago.
.
It wasn't his first solo (or duet or whatever) on national TV. They were regulars on the weekly show Shindig for a year at this point. In fact, he sang this in August on Shindig; this is October.
One of my favorite songs of all time. You should check out "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling." Another great song by the Righteous Brothers.
Ok I’m on it
Next is "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" featuring both "brothers" (not actually related). It was the most played song of the 20th century, and it will blow your mind.
Ok I got you
This is a LIVE performance, in 1965, an era when there was no auto tune or any other computer aids to check tone quality or any of that crap. To sing LIVE you either had the talent or you didn't sing live. His 3 octave range is amazing as he hits higher notes in the soprano range effortlessly and maintains tone quality - no distortion or straining. The Righteous Brothers are a duet - to hear them together listen to "You've lost that loving feeling" (the live version in 1964 is a masterpiece of harmony) and is a focus more on Bill Medley with his deep, rich baritone voice. Also, a song that gives a more equal time to both and their harmony is "Soul and Inspriration" (live version in 1966).
And Bills voice being that sexy deep voice. Holy smokes ! These guys were incredible then and still are.
And he did this with a cold and nervous because his parents were in the audience and he wanted to make them proud. Name 5 mainstream artists today who could pull something like that off live with no autotune or lip synching.
Maybe not considered mainstream, but one who comes to mind right away is Dimash. He also has this beautiful high voice (as well as a gorgeous low voice) and has sung superbly while under the weather. Both great singers! This song is so beautiful! I love watching people discover it for the first time. It was actually while watching reactions to this song that I stumbled upon Dimash and found some modern music that was tuneful, meaningful and lovely! (Although I am an "80's child" I spent my time listening to '50's and '60's music while a teenager!)
Geen auto-tune, live. AMAZING
"This guy can sing" ....ya' think?! You have a beautful smile!
I love your reaction… priceless much like Bobby.
Check out “Summertime” by Bobby, it will amaze you. “I just want to make love to you by Bill”, “You’ll never walk alone” by both and of course, You’ve Lost that loving Feeling, and Soul and Inspiration. Bobby was a rare counter tenor and Bill had the very deep voice. What an incredible duo! They broke the mold!
This song still brings me to tears… Bobby’s voice was a god given gift to us and will endure throughout time easily… check out his bluesy rendition of Summertime… it will blow your mind❤️
He died at the age of 63 on November 5th, 2003 and the song is from 1965, the year I was born. Even today I get goosebumps from these sounds, something angelic. Thank you for your music.
"Summertime" (also sung by Bobby) will completely knock your socks off.
Excellent reaction. Love it when people are really moved by the music & voices. Hate those reactions that analyse the song like a science project. So good you were swept away by his singing talent 👍
Bobby is a Leo by the way. I got my first album by signing up for 10or more free albums for a penny. Best buy I ever made. I love all their music. One of my favorites is. ... Just once in my life.
I remember way back when they offered that album club deal. I know an Anita Clarke by the way from CA and she moved back to Ohio years ago. And I agree with you..I love all their music. Just never guessed 2 guys from Orange County back in the day could be so soulful.
The string lines gets me every time. Brilliant orchestration!
Mr. Bobby Hatfield sure could bellar well huh? No wonder their type of music is called "Blue Eye Soul" Cool Dafdy'O Cool. Keep up the good work
See ya'"
Adios
Check out his cover of "Summertime". It's on a whole different level!
Bobby Hatfield was 25 years old on this recording. Unchained Melody came from a prison movie from 1955 called "Unchained". The prisoner sings this in the movie, wondering if his girl will be waiting for him when he is released. Many singers have covered this over the years , but Bobby's version beats them all in my opinion. Thanks for your review!
Your smile says it all!
Now you see why Bobby swept so many ladies off their feet. Just pure romance. Swoon 🧡💜
My parents music .. But damn! They knew music back then
First time listening to your channel. I love your reaction.
You da man! I'm so glad your generation is finding these gems in time.
Recently saw the updated "Righteous Brothers" show in Rancho Mirage, CA, with Bill Medley and Bucky Heard. Very excited and emotional when Bill Medley sang "Unchained Melody" and dedicated it to Bobby Hatfield.
Polite, gracious, professional, handsome, well dressed, classy.
First, your resemblance to 50 is uncanny. So cute! Second, love this reaction! ❤
He EASILY covers 6 octaves without strain... and he bites his lip at the end-- because his MOM was in the audience and that was the first time she'd herard him perform professionally LIVE like that and biting his lip was a signal to her!!! Elvis tried this- and screwed it up royally... NO ONE can touch Bobby on this song!!! NO ONE.!!!
💯❤️🔥
That lip bite is sexy
..whew
Next do Rock and Roll Heaven! You are doing the classics!
Wow I love this song thank you for sharing with us to view ✨️
Love your reaction.May your life be filled with music!
Hey ty for playing Unchained Melody , now can you play “ you’ve lost that loving feeling” It was in the Movie Top Gun, by both the Righteous Brothers. Any gal born from 1950 and celebrated her teens well through the early 70’s will completely relate!😘
Love your groovin' to this song, Beautiful Soul !
The best of the best ! Magical voice ! Magnificent!!
Now thats classic😂❤❤❤ im 60 you got some catching up❤🎉
And Bobby had a sore throat and a fever when he performed this.
You're a joy to watch! 💜
Beautiful awesome
Love this reaction!
Find the video with Bobby singing Summertime!!
Love, love loved your reaction! Very easy to see how this affected you!😊
If you like a high energy rocker, "My Babe" is killer too with those wicked fat horns that just keep building until the end.
Young folks! Listen to me, you too have this amazing talent hidden amongst you. Your generation is a group of kind hearts, and intelligent minds. BUT please don't get convinced that you aren't good.
Top shelf stuff.
Great Reaction!❤🎉
WOW!! New sub from South Africa 🇿🇦
You just heard excellence in vocals
You should also hear Elvis' version of it ! It too is Beautiful !
When this aired, I was 14 and SURE Bobby would marry me!
After a show down south, someone yelled out "That's righteous brother". And that's how they got their name.
First time viewer. Great job.
Never before, not now.
Watch Elvis performing this song in concert live in 1977. I think it was his last live performance before he passed away. 😢Please !
I really appreciate your reaction. I hope by now you've also checked out You've Lost that Loving Feeling and Soul & Inspiration - both by The Righteous Brothers
Ditto on Bobby singing Summertime!!
Try: You'll Never Walk Alone, and Soul and Inspiration to hear both Righteous Brothers (not really brothers).
❤❤❤😊
I Just Wanna Make Love to You by the Righteous Brothers is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bobby’s voice is a countertenor’s, he can be compared to a female’s contralto’s or mezzo soprano’s voice.
THIS WAS A LIVE PERFORMANCE.
Well another good reaction I just got through watching you on his other good song Summertime and so this popped up and like I said another good reaction they said he gets nervous didn't look like it but once he starts singing I guess the nerves go away but his fiance and mother were in the audience. And some people I forget know who but different ones said that when he bites his lip at the very end of the high note at the end he was proud of himself thinking I did good. Andy Williams TV show.
Please listen to summertime by Bobby Hatfield.
Its insane😎😎😎😎
Recommend you check out Versailles Aristocrats Symphony live Holy Grail
And
Lovebites Swansong with Chopin Intro
Okay
This is pure romance. This is what most women want and deserve.
This is where the term "blue eyed soul" came from. If you want to react to something really crazy check out the Nicholas Brothers and Cab Callaway from way back in 1943 here... ruclips.net/video/_8yGGtVKrD8/видео.html
song great person no god he kept stopping and going back every time
Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe at the Monterey Pop Festival
Jimi Hendrix - Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock
Janis Joplin - Ball and Chain at Monterey Pop
Lynnyrd Skynnyrd - Free Bird at Monterey Pop
Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven Live
Eagles - Hotel California
Abbot and Costello - Who's on First
The original song (from a 1955 movie) was simpler than this (less yodeling). Bobby used his incredible voice to develop its melodic potential to the max. It can’t get any better than that.
I always have mixed feelings on this version because throughout the performance there's a few weird spots where the pitch is slightly off and I'm like ooo the recording is better but then that ending is just insane
Please, please do yourself a favor and listen to the Righteous Brothers sing "I Just Wanna Make Love to You" and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" (Live).
Ok I got you
This a solo by Bobby on of the 2 not brothers
好多人想挑戰佢,但敗走!
Absolutely no one sings better þhan Bobby HATFIELD!!
THÀT ßÀÌÐ, listen to Eric Clàmptoñ sìñg Wonderful. Another great is Kris Kristofferson For the good times or "Hèĺp me make it through the night."
I was a preteen when this came out. we didn't know what they looked like. we had to wait for technology to catch up. we thought they were Black. imagine our surprise. Too bad you traded this beautiful music for rap. sorry.
Err there over speaking whilst singingin ugh
Young man, music has a flow to it. when you keep interupting that flow, you ruin the song. Stop doing that...
We are checking his reaction. He said He was going to hear it again. 😊
Wake up and listen to real music please
This is the best vocal of all time.
This is how you act when you truly like a song or singer, this brothers being authentic as far as I can tell. I'm not expert but he listens, if he talks he then goes back and listens again. This cat is being true and really likes the singer. If you think your prejudice, just close your eyes and listen, because how the person looks has NOTHING to do with how they sing. The End.
