Of course, your termination practices depend on your organization (and the person being termed). If you need to escort them out immediately, then you're doing your job of navigating a tricky situation to the best of your ability--and for the betterment of your org!
Personally I find "walking employees" to be burning a bridge as an organization. Unless its a mutual situation or there is severance being offered, there is no tasteful way to dismiss someone simply because they gave their 2-week 'courtesy' notice.
"You're done here" and having them escorted off the property by security is sufficient (in some situations). 😅
