A little fun fact about the Professor Oak battle: he actually fights using the final evo of whatever starter Pokemon _wasn’t_ chosen. For example, if you’d chosen squirtle, then gary would choose bulbasaur, leaving Oak with charmander. When you fight him in this scenario, he’ll have a charizard on his team.
He was also the strongest NPC trainer in the game
Not only that. He also uses the Grass, Fire, and Water types Gary would use to fill his team. Gary uses some combination of Arcanine, Gyarados, and Exeggutor based on the starter he chooses. Interesting that Prof. Oak uses all three, regardless of the starter.

You don't really get an idea of just how small Mac is until you see that head to head fight.
Another unused boss of Paper Mario exists other than Albino Dinos: Whacka. If you try fighting that, as soon as he tries to hit you, the game crashes.
And also some Paratroppas too.
The little Mac fight feels like a two player mode
in punch out wii, there’s a mode called Head to Head, in which two little macs 1v1. Mac in head to head has different controls and attacks than normal, and the goal of head to head is to KO your opponent 3 times total. it’s an alright mode imo

Really disappointed and somewhat surprised Giga Mac wasn't in the game officially. They'll give us DK kidnapping Little Mac into his unmarked white van, but no Giga Mac fight?! C'mon! Nintendo is all about their Dark Links and Shadow Marios! It would have been very simple to implement too. Simply make the fights against Little Mac be him doing mental training against himself (where you can get a feel for dodging, various attacks you have, blocking, etc) that he can do anytime; basically a repeatable tutorial and generic training. The Giga Mac fight I'd make the most challenging in the game and only after you become the champ, defended your title, and shoved DK into a barrel and shipped him back to the Congo. In the final fight, Little Mac has a dream where he fights Giga Mac; a mental manifestation of Little Mac's brutality that he has to quite literally beat in order to keep himself in check or else he'd be no different than Bald Bull, a beast; not a champion...I just thought these up on the fly. Shame they didn't do it. Wanted my boy to get more love and respect. Little Mac embodies the heart of the underdog. He deserved more than he actually got.

In Paper Mario (2001), Three Albino Dinos can only be found in the room preceding the Crystal King's lair in Crystal Palace. They are harmless and do not attack Mario or even move at all unless interacted with. In order to pass the Albino Dinos' room and battle the Crystal King, Mario has to solve a puzzle that involves pushing statues into the correct positions. In order to change the direction in which he can move these statues, Mario must speak to an Albino Dino in a certain manner, such as approaching it from the left side to make a corresponding statue face left.
I like calling giga mac “Big Mac” for burger reasons.

That unused Kirby boss looks like Regirock
I feel like the unused boss for kirby and the amazing mirror was meant for mustard mountain before being replaced by kracko since it has a fire attack and gives you the fire ability.

I like the idea of multiple elemental golems, I can tell they wanted to focus more on spongy big enemies for amazing mirror to make co op more useful

Little Mac and Big Mac can still be fought in the games via 2 player mode. They haven't been removed, only from tutorial mode.

If it wasn't unfinished, I think it'd work as an early game mid-boss. Kind of like the worm thing you fight right at the start. Other than that though and I'd totally agree
Zero Mission's thing is "Doing Super Metroid, except worse", but this really is just unfinished.

Little New Game is my favorite unused Nintendo character! (I'd like to think that the unused Little Mac was just devs testing ai or something...I don't quite think it was an actual boss fight. Giga Mac, however, is a bit more debatable.)

This doesn't really relate to the Video, but u can fight against Prof Oak in Team Rocket Edition too. In my opinion the best story that ever existed. Since i played it, i cant see Oak as a good guy anymore

@@IvanFranco120 no i mean the various other ones, since they just seem like basic enemies. like the flying one, or the one that actually attacked. They have a color scheme that matches them and its pulling from garbage sprite data I think.

7:16 There is something wrong there. Gyarados is Water/Flying, and Venusaur used a Grass move! Grass is super effective against water, and not very effective against flying, making it normally effective against Gyarados. So why was it not very effective?
the same reason ice beam is super effective on charizard who is fire/flying in gen 1
This is because of a bug in RBY that means the game only looks at one type when displaying the super effective message. It did neutral damage, but the game read it as super effective. This has no effect on gameplay, it's just a text error. Also, Charizard IS weak to Ice in RBY because Fire didn't resist Ice in generation one. Fire had it ROUGH in gen one.

Wish Punch Out Wii also had the data for the match against Peach (that was scrapped because of the whole "violence against women" thing), but I guess that didn't go beyond the ideas stage.
