    Fun fact - The scene where Foley is in on the phone in Rosewood's bedroom and sees the Stallone Cobra poster is a movie gag. Sylvester Stallone was originally cast as Foley in the first BHC but left when he attempted to make extensive character and plot changes. Stallone's vision would become the movie, Cobra (1986) and this movie's villain, Brigiette Nielsen (tall blonde), was his then-wife who also co-starred with him in Cobra.

    Identifiability isn't a problem for Karla, as Taggart said, 6' blondes grow on trees in California. If she has no record, she'd be hard to pick out randomly and put in a lineup.
    As far as smashing the display cases and getting the jewelry after, some good kevlar lined gloves make that not a problem. The mess is intentional to make it more evidence for the cops to sort through looking for prints and other trace evidence.
    The superglue thing is called fingerprint fuming, and is indeed real.
    Another parallel between the two movies is both truck chase sequences featured a Pointer Sisters song (Neutron Dance in the first movie, Be There in the second). 2 of Eddie Murphy's comedian friends appeared in the movie as well like the first (Damon Wayans and Bronson Pinchot in the first, Chris Rock and Gilbert Gottfried in the second). The movie felt like Tony Scott's love letter to the original movie.
    Cain was killed for his multiple screw ups, first using custom (and identifiable) shells from the gun club for the first robbery, and then screwing up the assassination attempt on Axel Foley. Dent wanted him to go along for the race track robbery solely to take care of him.

    • @IdliAmin_TheLastKingofSambar
      @IdliAmin_TheLastKingofSambar 2 месяца назад

      Did they decide to kill Cain _because_ he screwed up, per se? Like, if Cain had followed Dent’s plans perfectly, would they not have deleted him? Or were they setting him up to be the fall guy all along, knowing he wasn’t the sharpest crayon in the box (or “a weasel,” as Axel puts it), and would make a good patsy? As Axel surmises, “You frame Cain, kill Cain, Dent gets away scot-free, case closed.”

    - 48 Hours(his first film)
    - Another 48 Hours

Eddie Murphy is one of the comedy greats and I highly recommend his 1986 comedy The Golden Child to react to. There's bad guys in it, so it can be for this channel ;) He plays a social worker tasked with rescuing a gifted kid with magical powers who can prevent the end of the world. + he's so funny in Life (1999) along with Martin Lawrence. Nowadays, crooks can just walk into stores in California and snatch up whatever they want without even brandishing or threatening with a weapon.
    The first and second Beverly Hills Cop movies represent how different the popular aesthetics were between 1984 and 1987. Tony Scott directed this sequel, his first after hitting big with "Top Gun" the previous year. Simpson and Bruckheimer wanted his distinctive "Top Gun" style for this. All of his movies had this kind of look until the late 1990s.

    Coby! There you go again, bringing up how you knew Dean Stockwell, who played AI in Quantum Leap. I'm abandoning my original theory that you've been de-aged by one of the government's secret technologies. Maybe you just watch TV Land. :) Whatever the case, I've never heard even one reactor who knew all these old series like you do.

    Nice reaction! Beverly Hills Cop 3 is the weakest of the 3 but still worth watching. It has its moments for sure and silly humor.

      I was literally getting ready to ask that question but was wondering how when it is considered bad form to ask a woman her age but Coby is hard to peg on age. I was 11 when Raiders came out and 15 when this film came out. I saw both films in the theaters in fact I was on a first date for this film. I'm also nearly 55 years old and am pretty sure I'm at least 15 years older if not more than Coby.

      She mentioned her age somewhere. She is older than she may look, late 30s. Heck, nowadays women that age and into their 40s just look younger than many of the previous generation anyway.

    Not everyone deals with grif the same way Xander was sad then he moved on simple as that. It doesn't have to be this big dramatic thing.
