    I also have transitioned to Turtle 🐢 Wax. I wouldn't touch TW 2 years ago but now they are my go to product line. I am also looking forward to their future NEW products that will be introduced over the next year.

      We are all in anticipation!
      They have definitely come a long way since their “hard shell paste wax.”

    Keep up the good work with these comparison videos. Personally I use technicians choice... easy to apply and wipe off.

    I think it's great to know the durability for sure. You don't want your sacrificial layer going away super fast. But for an enthusiast like myself the car is getting washed minimum once or twice a month. I want to also know about which one has better slickness and which one has better gloss to the eye. Then you could make an informed decision if the durability was acceptable and which one looked better. You know what I mean?

    My money was on TC. Although clearly in a close second place it's still what I'd choose. The price alone makes it a winner but TW have really stepped up to the plate.

      I’m still team TC on this because of the bulk pricing. Now if only turtle wax would offer gallons 🤔

    This was absolutely a terrific and honest review. I originally bought a gallon because I thought I had the new Holy Grail in Ceramics and it was dirt cheap. $30 plus $12 for shipping. It was as glossy as bead maker and cheap! Then I found out it only lasts a few weeks, similar to Bead Maker. My usage from 2018 to 2019 showed it was a great priced drying aid with a really great and glossy finish. It really isn't a stand-alone, it is much more like a detailer at best or more realistically a drying aid; but for the price, it was worth it.

    TW is a waterless wash and TEC 582 is a detailer. Not really an apples to apples comparison. I have used both products and think 582 gives a glossier slicker surface for sure.

    I have both right now and personally I wait for the Turtle Wax to be gone. It’s not an easy product to apply vs Tech Choice

    Technicians choice is amazing on all surfaces, even glass. Truly second to none in terms of versatility and smell.

    I like and use both products, but in different ways. I use TW 3n1 as a waterless wash. Spray on a microfiber towel and wipe off. I use TC as a spray on/rinse off and drying aid. I also use it as an add on to my express details. Again both are great products.

      that sounds crazy expensive to use it as a waterless wash.

      @@mkygod 2 sprays per panel....not that expensive, at all.

      @@sidneydunston for a coat, 2 sprays is enough, but i've always been taught to drench the entire panel for a waterless wash.

      @@mkygod in my process, drenching a panel, I would consider that a rinseless wash and utilize McKee's 37 N-914 diluted 256:1. I am also evaluating that as waterless wash with a different dilution ratio.

    Nice review. Seems TW is slightly better but TC does a fine job. Price is a definite winner for TC. But also, wouldn't the TW Ceramic Spray Coating be a more parallel comparison?
    Nice job on your new intro. Cool drumming. Did you create that whole composition?

    • @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip
      @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip  4 года назад +2

      Thanks!
      I agree! TC is my personal fav but TW performed better here...
      I paired these two up not only because it was suggested but they are both advertised as detail sprays or to maintain coatings. I could compare TC to the TW spray coating but I’m afraid it would be much of a competition.
      Also the intro vid was made by a friend of mine who is a videographer. He also put together the whole composition!
      Thank you for the compliment!

    The TW have any problems with removing and/or streaking? My streaks terrible.

    • @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip
      @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip  4 года назад

      Yes you will have streaking. You will need to follow up with a damp cloth afterwards or just have a spray of DI water. Kind of defeats the point but it’s what you have to do...

    Most folks don't use dawn to wash a car. But most of all, why not discuss the slickness and gloss and the actual application. I feel you've wasted the video on two products.

    Great video! I've tried both products and found both to be amazing. But if you are pressed for time go with Tech Choice. I've found Turtle Wax to leave streaks. Do you think we can see a head to head on Tech Choice and Adam's Detail Spray?

      Turtle Wax is not cheaper. Tec582 is $40 for 1 gallon. Turtle Wax is $15 per bottle of 16oz.
