In 2014(I was 16yrs old) I stumbled on this song. Right before I was about to attempt Suicide. I guess you can say God gave a hug with this song/lyrics. +twigs si Yeah, thanks man, I appreciate it. My situation is very complicated and the choices I've had/have is often which is the better over the good or the lesser of 2 evils. I've done things in the past that I thought was quote "right" but it was what God desired or I went about it the wrong way, and I'm trying so hard at the moment not to have to go through another one of those 180 turns so God can get me back in the right direction. I will say this though, God is very faithfull, sometimes I'm just to impatient.

I've been listening to NF since the start of 2019, I've never took the time to just write how much his song have always been in my mind. He truly is an artist and this song is the one I discovered him with, It's been one of my favourite since then

Anyway in 2022, been listening to NF since I was 16 and I’m 21 now. My life hasn’t been crazy compared to the comments I’ve read over the years on here. However Nate still finds a way to make a song relate to us even if our situation is completely different. I’ve been talking to this lady for a while now, and she’s torn between me and her ex. Which is heartbreaking cause they broke up over a year ago. Anyway each day I lose a little more hope that I’ll find someone who loves me for me. Anyway NF is the only artist that I completely respect and adore.

It’s crazy how many memories this song really holds for me.
2016 I started high school, and there was this girl I liked a lot.
But I never felt good enough about myself to go and ask her out.
Her and I were good friends as well, and I didn’t want to ruin that.
And I would lay where I am right now. 6 years ago staring out this same window at night playing this same song crying because I felt like nothing.
And this song for me capsulates that time of my life, and I remember it so vividly.
The pain, the sadness.
But the good part of this story is, I built up the courage. It took me 2 years, but after to many heartaches of watching her go from failed relationship, to failed relationship, I had to do something to help myself. I needed an answer.
She was with someone and I did not care.
I asked her out.
And guess what?
I stole her ass from her boyfriend lmao.
And now, 3 years and 7 months later, we’ve been engaged for a year.
And I always gotta thank this song for helping me cry all the tears out, so I could get to a breaking point where I just went for it.

Lately I discovered that there's two sides of me: the sad one who is looking for love and wants to share his life with someone, and the other one who is strongly independant , wants to be on his own and focus on job, studies and hobbies alone. Sometimes, one side is just getting bigger than the other one and that's thecreason why I put my relation to an end. I can't control it , like a rollercoaster going up and down. I try to forget that one side exists but it's just leading me to suffer because I don't take time to listen to myself. I totally relate to that song, what he says is it's so true.

i know how you feel, i have also seen many things my mom also suffered the same circumstances and spent a year crying and being emotionally unstable, torwards me, its all cool now but you never do forget, i got no hate left in my heart, only sorrow, saw your comment randomly and just wanted to talk about my experience there are other things but ...its the internet not really excited to share my experiences on the comment section, if you want my opinion get something and fight for it! im the type of person that is always smiling when with friends, but if i spend one day alone, depression starts to quick in, the only reason i can still smile is because im surrounded by awesome people, good luck.

I understand when I was 13 I started doing pills all the was till I was 18. that's 5 years. when I stopped I had and emotional and physical break down. but now I am 19 years old an I am better then ever. This song reminds me of the people that screwed me over. An now that I listen listen to Nf I feel calm. No more stressing or crying😂!
I didnt take pills or anything but I can relate to you on the crying part. I loved a girl for 4 years and I still do. We were together for 6 months but I was thinking about her 3 years before that. And now after all this... I just cant cry anymore..I shouldnt. Its real tough when you see a person you love being a slut. She cheated on me just because she thought I cheated on her. Now I understand all my mistakes and I strongly wish for a second chance...even tho I already had too much of them. Im struggling with depression bc my parents and this... I came across your music on my Hollyn station on Pandora a few weeks ago and I'm so thankful I did!!! I struggle really bad with anxiety, bad nerves, and after loosing my mother a Lil over a year ago, who was my entire world and my best friend, well I've gotten A LOT WORSE!! I feel like I'm at a dead end and I don't know what do do to help myself get out of this rut! I have a 3 1/2 yr old son and a 1 1/2 yr old girl and IT EATS ME ALIVE that they have to see me going through this and I know they don't and can't understand, they are just babies! I've recently found Jesus since loosing my mother and I have turned to Him through this all but of course there will still be good and bad days and some periods where I just don't want to have to turn or depend on ANYONE even Him...sad and stupid I know, but I'm being honest here and that's the reality of it. Your music has helped me in so many ways I can't even begin to try n explain it! Mostly to know that another Christian has been through a lot of similar things as me and for my feelings and things that run through my head and its OK and I'm not alone n I'm not such a freak for those feelings and state of mind, you have saved me in a ways, esp ur songs about ur relationship BC as a result of being in this rut how could it not affect it,thank u for ur bravery n honesty n courage of putting urself n ur life n feelings out In the world but know in doing so u have helped me through a very dark n lonely time in my life!!
