There must be away to let the world know that you were listening to him before he blew up. There just has to be away to show how special you are for noticing an artist before others. Maybe a face tattoo, or some sort of medal you can wear. I don't know, but for me, I will take note and let everyone know that you were listening to NF before they even knew he existed. I'm both amazed and amused about how drastically my life has changed in the past 5 years, and this major roll Eminem has played through all of it, almost in a "Godly" way. Just like when I grabbed this quote out of my files 5 minutes ago to post here. I gotta say it was spontaneous of me to think of just posting a couple pics to the community and moving on to the rest of my daily chores. I wasn't really ready to share the story that I'm about to tell about what happened on my birthday a couple weeks ago but now that I see the quote I just blindly grabbed from the folder, I'm taking it as another guiding sign from above that maybe it's time to just get out there now. So, sigh, I'll try to keep it short as possible but there's so much deepness and details leading to it, it will be hard to stay on point.
Fellow "Stans" will feel me and know how misunderstood we are anyway, and how people look at us stupid if we even say that somebody like this vile, crude, rude, rebellious rapper could have "helped" us through anything, nevermind "guide" us to anything worthwhile or of value- and if we were in fact influenced by him, how ignorant we must be, how childish! On the surface, I can see how that would appear to most as well, but I'm just here saying he has played a prominent and main role in all that is good in my life right now. I'm sure he'll still be there to my end. I'm going to spare the details of how he's remained present the last 5 years, helping with my recovery from a lifetime of addiction, about 30 years of daily dependencies from pot to OxyContin and EVERYTHING in between... as important as that was to me nothing sticks out to me as much as September 1, 2017, and I'll never forget that date for two reasons- one being that I'm a numbers person, they mean something to me, and well- 09/01/17 to me, is 9+1= 10 10-17 is Eminems birthday, lol, also 9/1/17 is the day I believe I was truly "SAVED". Yes, saved by Christ. Whoa, What? Crazy huh. I've been studying The Word for years now, independently, been praying, trying to live right, trying to learn more, grow into a better person, be the tolerant patient and strong mother that my four children depend on, and it has been so very hard given the life I had-- I was raised by a single, cocaine dealing, high-paid "escort" for ten years in Orange County California, turned alcoholic, drug addicted, skanky, crackhead, junky, asshole of an alcoholic mental case of a person (I say cuz she was no mother to me and completely out of my life now), and no dad was ever in my life, never even saw a picture of him till after age 35 -- So to say the least, as I've had my own children with no knowledge of how a real family works, and was left by the fathers of them, having no home, no income, smoking pot daily, increasingly using pain pills, anxiety meds, muscle relaxers, etc... My life was tough, sad, pathetic, and pointless. I never wanted to add in useless though, my love for my kids drove me to breaking my own addictions and doing whatever I could to assure them of my love, my steadfast presence, and devotion to them. I have done that much at least. I am, however, still homeless, have no drivers license, car, after falling on my face during an o.d. in the past I'm missing about 4 or 5 front teeth! (AAArrrgghh!! Sux so bad! I smile all the time and it hurts me so badly I pray you folks don't ever have to deal with these daily pains, regrets, and guilt that I feel, and the judgment my appearance and backstory brings upon my children and I, especially having to admit there are 3 dads to my four kids, the latest being the worst who lied the craziest stuff and left me over and again, now forever, with a baby who's not even 2yrs. old! She hasn't even had a first pair of shoes yet, I tried to order some but they were too small :( , IDK, I'm getting off topic now...)-- Anyway, it all leads me to my Testimony. YUP, my TESTIMONY! Here I sat on my birthday a couple weeks ago, doing my online thing, trying to make money and find resources so I can have a roof over our heads and everything, listening to Creflo Dollar on TBN, (yes I'm a dedicated daily TBN watcher and Joel Osteen fan, Joel being a Major part of the last two years of my growing in faith, and open to the other pastors/teachers on that channel) when Creflo said something that made all I had learned CLICK and I just knew I was truly SAVED, he was talking about how we would pray and apologize to God about all we are doing wrong and continue to do, the guilt we hold because we don't feel worthy of HIS Graces or Blessings, but we don't need to do that, to feel that shame, THAT is WHY JESUS DIED! HE knew what we were, knew what we'd do, who we would be, and STILL loved us enough to cleanse us of our sins, past present and future as long as we TRUST in HIM, lean to HIM for guidance, keep TRYING, HE WILL BE THERE, helping us throughout our struggles and will ultimately make sure that we are not alone and without all that we NEED. HE WILL bring us into prosperity where there has only been poverty, a better future, and a GRAND future is coming... (and hopefully Joel is right when he says "SOONER than expected!") DAMN! What a road! So, back to Eminem... who's life I feel is identical an almost everyway to mine, I started drawing this heart, symbolizing GOD, because GOD IS LOVE I see so clearly now, then I put heart inside of that heart, symbolizing me, because I'm in HIS heart, and the way I am with words and art entertwined, I added the words - GOD-ME but I had a little space under me which I quickly filled with what I was meaning to be a symbol of GODS hand holding me up, but as I quickly noticed it also turned out to be another letter, a BACKWORDS E!! WHAT???? Eminem?!! Dammit man, if people didn't already think I was completely off my rocker (LOL) now Eminem has worked his way into my TESTIMONY? So weird. I cuss a whole lot and feel bad about it but, can I get a MOTHERFUCKING AMEN on that shit BITCHES?>!! Woohoo. There I was laughing and crying hysterically, by myself. I don't know much, but I do know who's helped me through it all, and the connections and directions that drive me to push further on and stay passionate about what I'm dreaming to come. Eminem, has been a driving force from day one as someone who's suffered from the same pains but made it through to becoming more than a major success, he's shown physical proof of the possibilities. His angry music is an awesome release for those hateful feelings that come up now and then, I love the song "My Mom" and "Rhyme or Reason" "Kim" and "Deja Vu" they are MY SONGS and MY LIFE, "Not Afraid?" I love it. His newer lyrics added some guidance and insight to the more important things as well. A true inspiration to me in any case, and I really don't give a FUCK what people think about it or say to me about it because I know my heart, and now I know that HE knows my heart, and has my back when everyone else in this world has let me down and seemed tried to drive me into the pits of darkness, into suicide, and worse. I sit here in this man's house that has helped me and my children more than anyone, but even he often is very verbally abusive and demeaning to me in front of my children, has gotten physically abusive and seems to drive me into deep depression every time I start to make a step upward, but I have such great faith that a better place for us in in sight now, and just have to thank God for putting him in my life when I needed him most, and my brother from another mother, Marshall Bruce Mathers 3, for the skip in my steps over the potholes and trash in my trailer park. Marsha B Mathers Listen, I can relate to what you're feeling as a Stan. At school, respect I used to demand as an Eminem fan. I have plans for the future but "friends" keep laughing. Adding into this rap passion, the anger and hate I wanted to reiterate in their ears to let them know they're fake. I stopped listening to Marshall, partial-ly for the reason of me...wanted to hear less curse words spit in a verse. Suddenly NF appeared, and I thank God for him being here. I don't know how you feel of him, or Slim, but this is what I've been going through, besides praying I don't know what to do. But Ima stop here...I got to wake up at 5...if I stay up too late I'll get more sleep deprived...so...yeah...

I'm a metal music fan (with a prinkle of Steview Ray Vaughn) and love playing guitar, grew up on Bad Co, Zeppelin, Boston, etc etc and just discovered NF this year - how can anyone not respect this man's art. 💯
