I was sexually abused at the age of 7 and it happened on and off through the years, it finally stopped when I was 16 and I am now 17. I forgave all of my abusers, but it was never really a big deal to me. But over the last 9 months I've been constantly fighting for a reason to live😭 I've been getting better but sometimes the demons come back and try to drag me down again. Keep strong always, I had a similar case but the abuser was my own brother for three years we live living hell in that house and I was only 7 year old. My mom and dad was always in drugs and they will always fight when there was no drug, they will sometimes take it out on us when they don't have the money to buy the drugs. There was never food in the house and my little brother will had to look for food so we can eat. There where times where my mom will sell all my little sister including me just so she can have the drug she need it the most. She was heavy in crack, cocaine and alcohol. They say with time we heal but I feel like the pain never go away and it get hard to even trust people.

Even if some of them where self inflicted. Like so many other women, we go through things that are unfair and rough when we are young and it causes us to struggle with our own identity and self worth. I found it easy to fake a smile not that long ago, but now that takes way to much energy. The feelings you have about yourself, I relate to a lot of those feelings and honestly, I wish I knew what to say or had some answers for you, but I’ll tell you this… I think that, we have to keep going, because of the chance of finding what we’re searching for, giving up can’t be an option, feeling like a failure makes you want to give up but in reality, giving up is true failure because you impact other peoples lives by doing that… I was told once that plenty of people care, they just don’t show it, and it comes back to people not being perfect, some people might know how to show that they care, but others aren’t good at things like that. And, just cuz your bad a certain things in life, this doesn’t mean your a failure or a bad person, it means you are YOU and you are a human that may fall sometimes, train your brain to not be a pessimist, I’m still trying to figure it out too. I was sexually abused at the age of 7 and it happened on and off through the years, it finally stopped when I was 16 and I am now 17. I forgave all of my abusers, but it was never really a big deal to me. But over the last 9 months I've been constantly fighting for a reason to live😭 I've been getting better but sometimes the demons come back and try to drag me down again. I'm sure a lot of you out there have been through this and are fighting the same battle, but keep your head up, live for yourself.💜😢😭😭

Keep strong always, I had a similar case but the abuser was my own brother for three years we live living hell in that house and I was only 7 year old. My mom and dad was always in drugs and they will always fight when there was no drug, they will sometimes take it out on us when they don't have the money to buy the drugs. There was never food in the house and my little brother will had to look for food so we can eat. There where times where my mom will sell all my little sister including me just so she can have the drug she need it the most. She was heavy in crack, cocaine and alcohol. They say with time we heal but I feel like the pain never go away and it get hard to even trust people.

Wow! These words are so powerful! This song actually brought a tear to my eye. This could have been written about me, except for a bit more struggle and hardships. Even if some of them where self inflicted. Like so many other women, we go through things that are unfair and rough when we are young and it causes us to struggle with our own identity and self worth. I have struggled with depression and insecurity my whole life. All the while being told that I am beautiful. But until we can learn to see ourselves the way our maker see's us, we will always have a whole in our heart that only His love can fill. Sometimes its hard and I know we don't like feeling depressed but it just happens. I would rather feel happy then be depressed and angry of course. No matter how hard I try to get help from the person I thought was my best friend she argues my feelings and tells me everyone has their own problems so I should deal with my own. She tells me she doesn’t want to listen to me because then she’ll “feel bad”. I don’t have anybody else to talk to.

1. I kinda relate to the first part about how it takes too much energy to put on a smile for people… I dream of the day that I’ll be able to confidently answer somebody when they ask “how are you doing?” That I’m doing well and not actually be hiding something underneath.
2. What you said about your supposed best friend tells me that she isn’t a friend… I agree that we all have our own problems but that doesn’t mean you should fell entitled to shove somebody’s problems away because you don’t wanna deal with them, if I did that, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night, we’re all humans, which means we’re not perfect, and because we’re not perfect that means that we aren’t always the best at handling things alone, which is why we have friends and family to talk to about this… so I’m sorry that she basically shunned you away when you needed to talk.
3. The feelings you have about yourself, I relate to a lot of those feelings and honestly, I wish I knew what to say or had some answers for you, but I’ll tell you this…
I think that, we have to keep going, because of the chance of finding what we’re searching for, giving up can’t be an option, feeling like a failure makes you want to give up but in reality, giving up is true failure because you impact other peoples lives by doing that… I was told once that plenty of people care, they just don’t show it, and it comes back to people not being perfect, some people might know how to show that they care, but others aren’t good at things like that. And, just cuz your bad a certain things in life, this doesn’t mean your a failure or a bad person, it means you are YOU and you are a human that may fall sometimes, train your brain to not be a pessimist, I’m still trying to figure it out too.
Since this comment was posted a year ago, I really hope that you’re okay and didn’t hurt yourself and I also hope that you found more people to talk to about this because bottling emotions inside is not healthy.
