Destiny also showed many inconsistencies in his story during the debate - it's plain obvious he's a fraud, there's a higher chance of me winning the lottery than him being sincere.

I remember years ago boogie told a story about his mother throwing him out of a moving car. He also claimed that his wife was deliberately fattening him up.

It doesn't mean it's untrue, but now seeing how much he lies, the things he lies about, and the lengths he will go to to lie. You're standing up for a guy who is receiving intense amounts of hatred from the internet, which is something that on its own could lead a person to Minecrafting themselves, and he might also be suffering from cancer, and to have both those things piled on top of each other would be awful. My mother recently died from cancer, so it's something I take very seriously.
But I mean... he has been very vocal about the cancer. He's clearly *not* been private about his medical stuff, rather he's been very public about it. And he's done this crypto scam to gain money in indecent ways. I'm not sure whether his diagnosis is true or not, but at this point, being such a public figure, I can't help but feel like he'd get a lot of grief off of his back if he just showed his records and it'd make life easier for him, and I don't understand why he doesn't do it. And if it turns out he's faking, it's a disgusting thing to fake cancer in order to get money from viewers.

I'm not really sure Destiny understands the work-up of polycysthemia vera, which is, to reiterate, a cancer of the bone marrow. "Are we treating a blood cancer without actually confirming it?" perfectly shows Destiny did not do his homework.
The work-up flowchart goes as follows (uptodate): Polycysthemia vera suspected based upon hemoglobin levels and one or more specific symptoms --> laboratory evaluation for EPO levels and peripheral blood screening for JAK2V517F mutation --> JAK2 positive? --> PV confirmed.
The only reason why you need a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration in diagnosing PV is when
1. JAK2 is negative
2. EPO is subnormal
3. JAK2 exon 12 mutation is not present
So no, a biopsy is completely unneccessary in certain cases. This video perfectly shows why discussing medical workup with laymen is so incredbly useless. That guy who kept laughing when boogy told them he did not receive a biopsy + aspiration yet said he had PV, shows the guy laughing knows nothing about the subject instead.
This is just a witch hunt at this point. Could boogy lie about everything? Of course, just as much as anyone. Is his explanation faulty? No, not at all.

@@philodox7599 First, that depends on the country, hospital, and individual patient. Medicine is not a cookie-cutter solution, but we would like to go into the direction of personalized medicine. Typically, patients with PV will receive acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) and will be heavily pushed to stop smoking and correct their high blood pressure (possibly with a statin to lower cholesterol). Furthermore, patients with PV will be subjected to blood letting to reduce their hemoglobin levels. Elderly people might also be elegible to chemotherapy via hydroxyurea, for example.
Regarding your second comment, I don't *need* to explain anything. It would suit you to adjust your tone.
Some patients are more demanding than others, and would like more certainty in their diagnosis. Typically, they can ask for "unnecessary" medical imaging, like a CT or ultrasound. Doctors can decide to agree, to prevents patients constantly returning to ask questions and generally be uncertain. That can definitely be the case for Boogie. Again, although not needed, he might personally need the extra confirmation a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration provides.
Remember it was boogie who started all this. First he contacted coffeezilia before he released his crypto scam to tell him he was doing it. Clearly he was trying to limit the fallout by contacting coffee first. Then when pressed by coffee his finances didn’t match up to what he claimed. Boogie claimed he needed the ten grand from the scam to cover his medical expenses. The only medical expenses he showed coffee was about $150 a month. Then after boogie was exposed about that tried to claim the money was to cover his mortgage. It was later revealed his podcast revenue covers his mortgage. This all started when boogie made the claim about needing the money for medical expenses for his ‘cancer’ treatment the finances didn’t add up. That’s why he’s been pressed. He’s clearly lying about something

Plenty of wheelchair users who can walk, a wheelchair just makes their lives 100x easier, and with conditions like FND etc, you may find you lose certain limb functions requiring short term use of mobility aids.

A lot of people have what are referred to as invisible disabilities, and they may still need equipment to make their daily lives easier, that doesn't mean that they're faking the need for one.

As a cancer survivor, this hurts….. having cancer makes you as vulnerable as you could imagine, and for him to exploit it is about as despicable as you can get. I’m so grateful to be in complete remission for two years now, and I encourage everyone to be supportive towards anyone that is fighting!
