How did you hook up the sound bar? I bought one and tired hooking it up via Bluetooth and Auxiliary and neither work. I am using the same monitor as you and a Fire Stick. Thanks.
If you have the same monitor as me then your audio cable goes into the green Aux. output. Have you tried with just using your headphones. Have you tried just using the monitor speakers ? As I stated in the video the Fire Remote volume won't work on a monitor. You have to use your monitor setting to get any sound, I got my volume all the way up. So as long as you got sound thru your monitor speakers you should get sound thru your headphones & soundbar if your soundbar has a Aux. or Mic. input and the volume is turned up & your soundbar is set to Aux. . Bluetooth won't do ya any good. Hope this helps & let me know if ya get it working. Have a great day my friend
Thanks for the response! So I actually managed to get it working via Bluetooth in the Fire Stick’s settings, I can even control the soundbar’s volume with the Fire Stick remote. So I basically bypassed the monitor entirely.
@@luger700 Damn! I never thought about hooking it up like that, ya taught me something I didn't know.. I used a Firestick and a Roku express for the sole purpose of making a couple of RUclips videos just to see if it would work. and I don't even have em hooked up anymore. I got a large TV 6" away from my computer so there's no need for them.. Stay safe my friend
i plug into monitor the amazon home screen comes on but then after a minute the screen just goes black and i cant do anything without rebooting the stick, any ideas?
Thanks for the question. If your Fire Stick is new you may have gotten a bad one I would exchange it for a new one.. If you have 2 HDMI inputs on your monitor try using the other one or switch your computer to that input and see if it happens with your computer. It could also be a bad HDMI cable or a bad HDMI input. If you go to Amazon customer service you can request a call from them for tech support. I'm not sure but I think you can use a USB cable from your stick to your computer for power as long as it's a USB 3.0 input, you may also have a bad power adapter if ya plug it into a wall. Good luck and please let me know if ya get it working
@@gamer6550 @John B thanks.I did think the issue was because it was timing out and of course on a tv you just point remote at the screen and the ir reciever wakes it up again. On a monitor i guess no such receiver so im guessing the remote can only be used to move the cursor around the screen or mouse pointer.I have changed the media player to mx player and this seems strangely to have done the trick. Now I have to try to extract the audio to my amplifier as monitor no sound.ive bought such a device off amazon coming tomorrow so ill see how it goes.
I'll be dipping dog turd it works!
Thanks for watching my friend..Have a great weekend
