I remember at the end of Chapter 5, some of the community were so shocked by the cliffhanger that they quit the game afterwards and couldn't play properly. And we had like, several months in between so we had to wait to figure out the emotions and stuff.
Fully agree here. I was so devasted that I quit the game for several months. Went back to it when the next episode came out, out of curiosity, but without much enthousiasm. I couldn't contain my tears when I understood that was going on. Such an emotional rollercoaster! In my opinion, episode 5 and 6 are mostly one episode split in two. (their combined lenght is similar to epsisode 4, possibly shorter). The split is justified by the fact that each episode brings their own map, and to make the loss "sink in".
Same here, I was amazed that I would be so affected by the loss of a character I "just" met (only two chapter before). In comparition, the losses we suffered during HoT and the personal story did nothing to me.
Aw... You missed my favorite Braham character development moment where he got a verbal slapping from his mother telling him to stop being asshole emo. xD
Still the most fun GW2 playthrough series out of any I've seen. Thanks for having some focus on the emotional moments amidst the lighthearted jokes 😄 The character attachment is real, I've played my Asura main since the start and her voice actor is so good that It feels super special. I'm sure other races are good too. This season may have been 10/10 for you but there's definitely still fun stuff ahead, hope you enjoy as usual 😌 Also yes, always protect Taimi 🙏
Yeah! The Asura female voice and Sylvari Male are my favorite of all of them. I main a Sylvari mesmer! Also a Veteran of GW2 since the start and played some GW1 too way back when.
Amazing video about amazing story arc! Good luck going through IBS, like others said, the studio went through rough times during it so it is what it is. Won't say more as it is for you to experience. I luckily played Season 4 after it had all came out, so I wasn't forced to wait 2 months after the death of Aurene for the next chapter, but that was what some had to endure. Also, there was recently some big live streamer who didn't like that she got revived and said they felt like the studio walked back such a nice dramatic commitment in the storyline, which disappointed me alot hearing someone feel like that. Seeing you enjoy it as much as I remember me and others I know enjoy it really makes me happy. Keep on going! (also damn this is one rambly comment lol)
Thank you! ^^ Yeah I absolutely loved this Season! I'm one of those people that loves to get caught up in good stories. I know that there are quite a few streamers who don't always have the luxury of being able to pay attention to the story as much as they'd like, some just straight up skip the story to talk to chat. Because of that, they sometimes don't notice certain things. Aurene having Joko's immortality makes sense as to why she lived in the end. I didn't feel like it was a cop out personally.
A lot of players did feel that this was the end of the game after that final cutscene. The studio was going through A LOT after this Season like a lot. Start of IBS is quite decent would recommend trying out the jumping puzzle!
LWS4 was absolutely incredible. If ArenaNet was having troubles and wanted to go out with a bang, this would definitely have been it. Obviously with a lot of story bits still left unfinished. Inversely I’ve heard a lot of complaints about Icebrood Saga. Gonna be interesting to see what everyone’s talking about with it now that I’m finally at it
@@MegaMadVladMMO Icebrood Saga starts out awesome. The issue was that Anet got suddenly greenlit for a 3rd expansion, EoD, around the time episode 4 of Icebrood came out. This meant masses of resources had to be moved away from IBS and the end of it was rushed. It's very obvious when you play Episode 5 that they had to cut out a bunch of plot progression. Instead of a 4th map they created instanced missions that re-use existing locations and fast-tracked the key plot objectives to reach the conclusion. Spoiler free advice/tip: When you play it, make sure that between episodes 4 and 5 of IBS you make a point of talking to a certain specific individual in the far right of the back room of the main "hub" you reach partway through the season. There's an achievement for talking to them (log to character select and back between each section of the chieve to load the next set of convo options) that fills in some timeline and info between eps 4 and 5 :) (edited for correct number of maps)

Having my character there, thinking I was saying goodbye to the little baby dragon I raised, played with, and eventually fought beside... oh I was a mess
Oh that's interesting! I'll have to see what the other classes are like with that door lol Yeah, it was a powerful moment for me. That scene was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change anything about it. Absolutely a phenomenal job by the developers on it!
Here the list from the wiki Mesmers can interact with the Cell Bars to gain the Blink skill. Rangers can interact with the Remains to gain the Vermin Call skill that can be used to destroy the Cell Door Lock. Revenants can channel the power of the Legendary Prisoner Palawa Joko to escape. Warriors can channel their rage and punch through the bars. Guardians can use Hammer of Unchaining to smash their way out. Elementalists can Conjure Slag Axe to melt the cell bars.
