- This is a deleted scene from Gilmore Girls that's been on the internet for a while... I added a Lala song, modify the audio to hear it better and add a little color correction... Musica will always make things better!!!

I love the concept, but I can see why it was cut. Young Lorelei’s actress gives such flat delivery, and she and young Rory have no chemistry. It doesn’t feel like I’m watching Lorelei and Rory flashbacks, it feels like I’m watching a middle school skit intercut with a scene of Gilmore girls.
Yes
Honestly
Totally. Seems like they met 5 minutes ago. Wish they have used the same actress they chose to play young Lorelai in the Lorelai/Chris throwbacks
I loved her in Dear Richard and Emily but in this scene, it really is lacking. I love the idea of it but i wish there was a little more chemistry between young Lorelei and Rory as well as a little more emoting from the actress who played young Lorelei
I guess if they did it again, it would be amazing
why did they delete this! the flash backs are so cute
The young Lorelai and Rory are kind of out of context with the originals and also the lines are no so gilmore! I think i was beacuse of that!!
I agree!
I know right
@@chris.dav_8333 they use that young Lorelai because that is who played her when they had a flashback to when she was pregnant
@@loreleiluvs I know, but I never understand why so much people didn't like her as Lorelai.. I think she did just great!!
it’s such a cute concept but hard to execute, the difference in actresses just feels weird and jolted
The actresses felt different from the real ones!!
I want a Gilmore Girls The Beginning series.
SAMEEEE
I don’t think that the flashback actors had the same chemistry. It’s a cute idea but it didn’t play out as well as written I’m sure. You normally can’t get that same level of chemistry when you just throw two actors together for one scene and that was the downfall here. In my opinion at least.
exactly! I totally agree
Yeah, the chemistry was maybe the big problem here... They don't feel like the real Lorelai and Rory
they made them look more like sisters like rory looked too old and acted like how you wouldnt imagine rory
Both are far from the originals and the lines... just don't fit!!!
I love the concept of this scene so much but ughhhhh theres no chemistry between the young actors
For me, they look more like sisters!!!
@@chris.dav_8333 Yes!!I think young lorelai was casted kind of well but Rory didnt sound or seem like rory too
I would’ve loved a spin off of a young pregnant Lorelei & raising Rory
The problem is finding a cast that fits in their characters... This scene for example looks weird because it doesn't feel like them this tow girls!!
The only issue is not being able to find the right actors. Very few have the ability to have their personalities, especially Lorelei, and the connection between them.
@@Ilove_drpepper Wel that also counts but a good actor with a good director could make something really great... But it's kinda of hard to find a pair like Alexis and Lauren and their great chemistry... I kinda find the same problem with the Crown (i'm watching righ now) Olivia Coleman does a great work but Claire Foy!!!! Man she was actuaklly the queen and set the bar really high!!!
I wish we would’ve seen more of young Lorelai and Rory
Yeah
super sweet but i feel like they should've casted a younger rory. i think more of the age difference would've sold the mother daughter thing. right now it seemed like 2 sisters
I honestly think they should've make a different scene... Maybe Lorelai asking Michelle where's Rory? and then we seeing her reading in some spot of the inn... or stuff like that!!!
Also, if you remember when it was her 16th birthday Babette mentioned Rory in her yard at eight years old so Rory would need to be at least five in this scene
If seems like the young actors had 2 minutes to prepare and do the scene
This definitely should’ve been in a episode! I don’t care what anyone says. Regardless of how the young actresses acted, this would’ve been a great way to show the transition from “Independence Inn” to the “Dragonfly Inn”. A missed opportunity!
I mean she was in a episode though, she appeared in the episode in season 3 that shows young lorelai and chistopher and how lorelai got pregant with rory and moved out
@@harrisonblum3075 Yeah, but she played 16-year old Lorelai, and here she should be in her mid-twenties.
Cute concept, but I just find the casting for the younger versions of them too hard to buy into.
i gues that's why they cut it!!
I can buy into it, but I don’t think it evokes the intended reaction. My older sister had my nephew at 18. My nephew is 21 now and I’m 30. I look back at pictures of my sister with her husband and children growing up over the years and it blows my mind how young she was. Seeing young Lorelai and Rory is like this is mind blowing in a more disturbing way instead of heartwarming. I think The other flashbacks with the same young Lorelai in the series give us context about the relationships she has with her parents and Christopher that inform the present circumstances about the episode. Like I loved the flashbacks about her pregnancy. It told us so much about how Lorelai felt growing up, and helped us understand Emily better. This flashback doesn’t provide meaningful information about Lorelai and Rory that we don’t already have.
@@godlesslippillow I did enjoy the flashbacks with young Lorelei and Christopher but they literally look nothing like them lol like entirely different faces and voices. But hey they tried lol.
@@godlesslippillow I guess they just wanted to generate some feelings... But it didn't work the way they plan it and the characters doesn't feel like the real ones!!
Wait they once casted a flashback Rory??? This would have been cool for them to leave in.
The scenes don't flow well, and it all just seems rushed and too quick. I see why they deleted it. Maybe having flash backs from when the TV show started and seeing rory grow and lorlie when they were at the inn would be nice.
Yeah but it feels a bit far from the real characters chemistry!!!
0:33 the spinning around looks so awkward and robot like. Like they just met one minute ago lol.
Bc they prob did
i’m so glad they didn’t keep this in bc this would’ve been the death of me.
Watching this in 2022, really needed this. Thank you for sharing this scene.
Whether the casting was right or not, this is such a great example of the heart and creativity that was put into this show. Imagine making a show so good that THIS incredible tracking shot is a deleted scene.
I totally agree with you...They always made the effort to show good people, with values and very toughtful...
2022 anyone?
always
There's more content on the way!!!!
WHY DID THEY LEAVE THAT OUT? It was so nice seeing Rory as a kid and Lorelei as a parent😢 plus it’s cool seeing how Rory became the teenager she is
It was a sweet scene but badly executed. Also the young Rory looked about 8 and lorelai looked like a teenager.
umm yea i do agree but thats kinda why it was deleted from the show
I like to think that young Rory is 8 and young Lorelai can pass for a 24-year old, still a 16-year difference
No bc lauren and alexis have sooooooo much more chemistry than the younger actors
It is currently about two in the morning and I’m about to cry over this I don’t know why they deleted it. this episode was by far one of the most sad episodes
What episode?
@@ARTPOPdan The season three finale
I guess The young Lorelai and Rory don't feel much like Lauren and Alexis... So i thinak that's why thy took it out!!
@@maiax903 Thanks! 😁
I love the way this is shot I'm sad they didn't keep it but it actually doesn't go much with the way they usually shot flashback so I get it. It's still sad they didn't keep it 😭
This was really sweet but I think the main issue was that the actress for Rory looked too old/tall compared to young Lorelai. It would have been better to go with a younger actress, maybe 5 years old. The actress for Lorelai is the same as from the pregnancy flashbacks at the Gilmore house, so I think it was probably the right call to keep her on and not switch it up again. But the scene here would have looked better with some furniture too, or at least some toys or something.
Agreee
agree with all the comments about young Rory looking too old next to young Lorelai. Also, Lorelai wouldn't have dressed Rory like that as a kid!
I assume Young Rory's dress was probably a hand-me-down from someone else in Stars Hollow.
Yeah they have the same actress playing 16 yr old Lorelai and 20-something yr old Lorelai. Doesn't work.
Maybe it didn’t give the desired effect with the transitions between the current and younger versions. Maybe a whole flashback sequence would’ve been better. This looks like theater, good for theater, but when you have the ability to cut and insert different scenes, it’s not so cool. Oh and so agree on the casting… their younger versions were never so believable. They just don’t look alike.
I think the same!!!
so mad they didn’t keep this scene ;(
Good concept, poor execution.
That little girl and young Lorelei did not execute that well, nobody in this scene got the message across honestly
Totally agree...
the way i would’ve gushed over this scene 😭 flashback episodes get to me
I know it would've been really hard but it would've helped if the furniture came back with the flash back actors
I agree!
It would've been great but as you said it would've been such a hard job!!
i see why they deleted this bc the other actors are terrible sorry 😭
that's what I was thinking lol
One minute and forty seconds and I am absolutely sobbing. I am convinced nothing in this world will ever be as beautiful as their story.
Thank you for posting this!
I always thought they could have done more to pay homage to the Independence Inn being that it was such an integral part of the series. This definitely scratched that itch 💖
You're welcome and thanks for watching!!! I hope you like the content of the channel!!
I get why they deleted it though.
It was kinda weird
"I gotcha munchkin i gotcha" 💀
Lol you're so silly 😂it's Gilmore Girls meets Full House ❤
worst part
On close examination a few years back, I decided I actually really liked the casting of young Lorelai and young Christopher used earlier in the season. I do also feel like the young actors don’t entirely live up to the present-day actors, but it feels like a problem with the writing and direction of their scenes and not a problem of casting or resemblance (which I think was pretty damn good, though I wish they had made an effort with eye color). This scene is a good example; the lines and especially the blocking are so strange. It doesn’t seem like how an energetic, witty woman in her young 20s and her daughter age 7 or 8 would be interacting at all in the mid 1990s, which is why it doesn’t feel like “the characters”, because it all reads as awkward and unnatural (and present day chemistry between any if the actors rarely reads that was on this show). I wonder if the young actors were not only unfamiliar with the show, but didn’t get to spend any quality time with or watching their counterpart lead actors to bond and learn about the characterizations and acting choices they’d already made through the years. I can’t see the young actress playing Rory here very well, but she specifically doesn’t seem particularly well-cast. Whenever I watch a show or film with multiple actors playing younger and older versions of the same character, when actors not only resemble each other but give congruent, nuanced performances, it feels like a revelation. One example off the top of my head is AnnaSophia Robb and Tiffany Boone (playing younger versions of Reese Witherspoon’s Elena and Kerry Washington’s Mia) in Little Fires Everywhere. The acting in that show was excellent all around.
Lorelai didn't seem like Lorelai she had the wrong lines I feel like she wld be very different
Why do they deliver there lines like “😐😐”
Cute but the lines sound nothing like them.
I think the same... You just adon't feel the Lorelai Rory vibe!!
Why would they cut this out? I've always wanted to see them when they came to Stars Hollow :(
as I said before, it doesn't feel like Lorelai and Rory... so I guess that's why they cut it!
This is the essence of The Gilmore Girls for me, and captures what was wonderful about the show, IMO. I know it's been very 'in' to ridicule and criticize the show for a few years now, after what happened with A Year In The Life (and okay, the last couple of seasons could've been better too). I get it. But I wish more people remembered how great this show was in its prime, and how unique it was, and I wish more people continued to cherish that, despite maybe not feeling so great about the later material.
Beyond S6 and 7 the show was maybe one of the best from all times... The dialogs wereso clever and sharp and the cast was so amazing... Unfortunatelly begining S6 the problems between WB and ASP started to increase with her leaving her creation after S6 and two really low bad final seasons... And AYITL is not that bad either but aI could''ve been better... Anyway, I also think that this shows is one of the best showas i got the luck to watch!!
good deleted scene l really like the scene with young Lorelai and young Rory together
Oh my God, this scene did me cry, this series does make a strange feeling, but that is on ours hearts, the memories of a story with ours own families.
i’m so glad this was cut tbh it would’ve ruined young rory and lorelai for me
its funny i saw this while im on this exact episode (s3 ep 22 if anybody was curious)
Skipping the not so good young acting, i'm crying 😭
Young Lorelai kinda amake it but oung Rory it's just so out of character!!!
As much as I really wanted to see Lorelai and Rory when they first came to stars hollow, I would never have guessed that those two were suppose to be the younger version of them. Also it looks a little weird without all the furniture. 😅😭
Same here... they don't feel like the real ones!!
This would’ve been such a cute scene :/
Yeah but it feels a bit far from the real characters chemistry!!!
Oh my God. I loved this. I always wanted to see scenes about their past, from when they were younger. I think the show would be complete if we had had that...the flashback episode was always one my favorite episodes,it would have been amazing if there was more of it...thank you for posting that...🥰
I like that episode too... I never get why many people disliked the actress who played young Lorelai Chelsea Brummet
@@chris.dav_8333 They did? I didn't know that. I loved her. I think she really captured Lauren's acting and spirit towards Lorelai. Maybe they could've picked someone that looked more like her, fisically speaking...but there's no denying she was all her. Her irony her ways, her quick comebacks. It was all there. She was exactly how i think young Lorelai was.
@@claricesilva2700 Yeahh the first time I looked forthe actress I saw a lot of people saying really bad things about her acting and how she ruined Lorelai... I know it's not everybody but i was surprise because there a lot of bad comments on google and in social media about Chelsea!
@@chris.dav_8333 Uau. Ruined Lorelai? I've always liked her acting in that episode,i didn't know people hated her that much. But people are always hating people on internet for absolutely no reason so...yeah.
@@claricesilva2700 I think the same... I liked Chelsea playing Lorelai...
I love when there are flashback scenes !
I liked a lot when we saw pregnant Lorelai!!
@@chris.dav_8333 yeah me too
awww i wish they put this in
This is my favorite, I hate that they cut this.
I't s a nice sweet scene but the young Lorelai ad Rory don't feel much like the real characters... so maybe that's the reason
i wish they left it in
This reminds me of the scene in you’ve got mail when Kathleen Kelly is closing her book shop.
Oh my lord not me crying, this is so precious awhh
This seen had no business being so sad
This is a great scene but I agree that Lorelai looked too young compared to Rory's actress and also the flashbacks were weird without furniture lol I somehow never knew that Lor and Rory lived at Independence when they first moved to Stars Hollow so this scene confused me so much 🤣
we know that because of a conversation of Lor and Emily, I think it’s on 1st season
There were many many many references to this over the first three seasons I think. Emily even came by the Independence Inn and Rory showed her where they stayed in a little shack, and Emily was furious and hurt about it. Then several times throughout the seasons when they met Mia, or when there was an issue with Emily it would arise that they'd stayed at the Independence. I only know this because I binge this season annually and have done for ten years now xD Saddo Ik.
It’s a cute idea but the youger actors of them didn’t really do a good job and it’s kind of cronge
Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the actress who played young Lorelai did a terrible job?! She didn't even look a little like her, let alone how terribly she delivered the lines in this scene and in the flashback episode when Lorelai was pregnant. It is such a significant moment for Lorelai and getting to see her life before Rory should have been enjoyable but it wasn't due to the actress Chelsea Brummet. The thing that makes the character of Lorelai so special is her fast dialogue and sarcastic jokes, however Chelsea Brummet says them how a normal person would say it, almost like a student who is forced to do high school drama class.
also like it's so clear lorelai has blue eyes and she has brown eyes, idk what they were thinking when they cast her
literallyyyyyyyyyyyy
I’ve always felt this way
yeah i think so too, i really wish they’d found actors to play their younger counterparts who actually resembled the older actors
@@veronicakaplan8790 Like why couldn't they have cast someone with blue eyes or give her blue contacts?!
Would have been great ,if done better.
I think this sequence with young Lor and Rory feels a lot like not them (their scense) so I guess that's why they cut it!! But the idea was really good and sweet!
They should've kept it in
This should of stayed its amazing
this made me so emotional omg
It's a nice scene but kind of far from the show dinamics!!!
@@chris.dav_8333 I agree, flashbacks werent really their thing but it still somehow made me emotional
I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE
i never cared for the girl who played young lor, wasnt believable and very weird delivery
Such a beautiful scene❤ Can't believe they deleted it
Yeah but it feels a bit far from the real characters chemistry!!!
Is Young Lorelai the same actress that played her in the birth flashback scenes?
yes she is :)
Didn’t like her portrayal there either. Lol
Why? she was YOUNGER 😂
The closet thing we got to a Gilmore girls crossover with Barney the Dinosaur
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@chris.dav_8333 did you see Barney as a Kid . I have 6 of his videos on DVD & VHS
They should’ve had Lauren play Lorelai in the flashbacks, it would’ve fixed everything
Who is Heather?
@@PunkAshCandyBar oops I meant Lauren Graham
0:16 like mother,like daughter
Totally!!
The problem here is they made lorelai way too young. Considering Rory was about 10 years old or older Lorelai must’ve been about 26 years old.
No way. Like 5-6...so still at least 7 years for them to grow up and become the people we meet in season one and get promoted and everything. I think they should have kept it.
It looks like the actress for young Lorelai was the same one who played the flashback scenes at the Gilmore house when Lorelai found out she was pregnant. So she was meant to look 16. It makes sense for them to want to use the same actress and not try to force the audience to accept a third actress as Lorelai. But they should have used a younger/smaller girl to play Rory in this scene. It would have looked much better in the scene, as well as compared to young Lorelai’s age, if they had gotten an actress who was maybe 5 or 6 to play Rory instead.
@@dabuckle15 no way the girl was almost as tall as Lorelai
That would have been a great scene
It is really lovely and i love your video and happy New year to all 💝

WHY DID THEY CUT THIS
Why did they cut this? They should do the prequel years
It's a nice scene but they don't feel as the real characters!!!!
Or showed a flash back when they did this
Esta escena no aparece en ningún momento de la serie, una lástima, hubiera estado genial!!!
i love this but there is def some kinks that is needed to worked out
NO WHY DIDNT THEY INCLUDE THISSS
They don't feel like the real Lorelai and Rory!!!
how could they-
Young Lor was great but little Rory not so much 😂
I thought the opposite
I always wondered how long they lived at the Inn.
I guess it was at least like 8 years!!
I just watched 1x15 where they go to the Bangles concert, and Lorelai is fixated on Rachel, and how she had no idea that Luke had a serious gf. Sookie says they dated about "4 or 5 years ago" which would put Rory at 11, and Sookie adds "you had an 11 year old and you were just moving into this house." We know from 3x13 that Lorelai moved out when Rory was one, so that would be 10 years at the Inn. It's the only time we're told how long they lived there but it makes sense when I start thinking about it. Rory's 16th birthday is the first time Richard and Emily have ever come over to the house.
They moved to their now owned house when rory was 11. Sorry excuse my English.
Awwww 😢❤

Why did they delete this nooo
They don't feel like the real Lorelai and Rory!!!
Gilmore girls: origins parte 2? 🤔 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wait so is this an alternate timeline where they just sell the inn instead of it getting burned down
...no the inn didn't burn down, it was severely damaged in the fire. they showed scenes in the independence inn after the fire. they kept having to close off rooms because of damage. it was sold to someone who could afford to pay to have it repaired, that just happened off screen.
thanks por la explicación! @@feelingReckless13

Yeah it looks like she does!!!!
Is this after they sold the independence inn??
yes, this was after rorys highschool graduation and right after they made a bid for the firefly
That shouldn't have been deleted
It's just that young Lorelai and Rory don't feel like the real ones... I guess that's why they cut it!!
Is young Lorelei Chelsea Brummet from All That?
Yes it is. I’ve seen her before in Gilmore Girls and in the Drake and Josh episode “Mean Teacher”.
In which season or episode should have been this deleted scene?
I'm guessing end of season 3 or somewhere before Rory got her haircut in season 4
@@mihirvirsingh5375 it's the season 3 finale - this is what Rory and Lorelai wore to her graduation. You don't see Rory's graduation dress much because she's wearing the robe and valedictorian sash over it for too much of the episode.
I think they cut this because well, they wrote too much to fit it all into one episode and because this is too similar to the vibes of the looking back at Chilton and realizing it's not so scary anymore scene.
Ep 22 S3...
@@VioletEmerald your right i agree with you. I just wasn't 100 percent sure that's all
